Its wrong they are using 2 different site names deckingstain and rest express but cannot order from deckingstain which there prices are showing as very reasonable but cannot order but can fron rest express and price doubles extortion i wouldnt pay it

I have been trying to order 4 x 5L tins of Ronseal ultimate protection decking stain since the end of March 2020, advertised on the website then and until recently at £26.95, have emailed twice April 2020, tried calling but received no response.

When I checked again over the weekend the price has gone up to £46.95, a significant increase, so I looked at other websites and found deckingstain.co.uk at £26.95 for 5L and tried to order from here. It allowed me to put in the quantity but not the colour, so I called the number and left a voicemail. I received a call back this morning and was really pleased to be able to place an order however when I quoted the price the lady said deckingstain.co.uk was also Rest Express, it is another website they ad but hadn't cancelled. She transferred me and I asked the gentleman if he would honour the price that had been on Rest Express and now DeckingStain website. He said there was no contract so didn't need to honour it. Although I have ordered from this company before I will not use them again. I appreciate that we are living through unprecedented times but there is no need to increase the price so significantly when their orders do not seem to have been affected by Codid19

An amazingly fast delivery in these challenging times. My order arrived less than 24 hours from the time at that I ordered it.

This is an update of my earlier review dated 9th May 2020. Today I received a polite email from the supplier explaining why they were unable to fulfill my order and the reasons for the problems in communicating this information to me earlier. I fully accepted all of the reasons given by the supplier and would therefore like to withdraw my earlier review. I can confirm that I have no reason to doubt the positive reviews that others have submitted regarding the service they have received from Rest Express.

Purchased some garden paint which was very reasonably priced. Unfortunately one tin of the paint was damaged in transit, they were very quick in replying to my email and sent out a replacement within two days. Great service and would highly recommend.

I had a new kitchen installed by a 3rd party, and they advised that I use this dutch wood wax to harden and water-proof the oak worktop. Only they couldn't supply any extra tins, and they didnt intend to supply the brand in the future (yes odd). Rest Express cam to the rescue, after a quick google I found that they stocked the particular wood wax, the joiners recommended. It was reasonably priced, and it was delivered promptly. Great service from Rest Express but rather let down by the paint manufacturer. Briefly ordered 3 x 2.5 litres of Ronseal Ultimate Protection decking stain / slate colour. Used one can to do 1 1/2 coats on my deck; thought it looked a bit translucent and much lighter than planned, nearer to silver but hey ho, continue on with the next can. Much darker and now have a two tone deck. Decided on a further coat with the second can but even then you could see the difference in tone. Finally had to put on a third coat which hopefully will be the last for a while. Spoke to Rest Express; yes I had stirred the tin thoroughly, yes they were all the same colour and batch number dated and timed within 5 minutes of manufacturing time. Can only imagine first can did not get correct amount of colour pigment, if any. Rest Express were excellent and understanding in that they immediately supplied a further can FOC but hopefully they will take the matter up with Sherwin Williams. Anyone want a photo of a two tone deck? I have lots.

My parcel where lost by Hermes, James at Rest Express followed it up and a new one was send without any issues via a different courier, James called me to confirm everything. Their customer services are excellent and the prices of their items are very good

I was most pleasantly surprised by the excellent service provided. I was phoned to check if a part delivery would be acceptable as not all the order was in stock. Thank you for checking,this was most appreciated. The part order came within 2 days and the residual came a few days later. Everything was delivered securely packaged and I give you 5 stars for customer service including the delivery process. The SPAX screws are excellent as well

I've ordered from Rest Express a few times now and been happy with the prices (comparatively), quality and service. Only downside is their use of My Hermes, who don't offer a delivery timeslot, only 'sometime in the next 24 hours'. Apart from that, no complaints.
