I worked with Resumeble in January and had a positive experience overall. My writer, Steve, helped refine my resume and made several thoughtful tweaks that improved the clarity and structure of the document.

What a fantastic experience with Resumeble. My writer was so responsive and helpful. I purchased the basic resume package hoping to get help refining my resume as an early-career engineer. Unfortunately, the experience ended up feeling very generic and not particularly useful.

I provided most of the information and context myself and had already spoken with recruiters about what should be included in my resume. What I was hoping for was help organizing it, refining it, and tailoring it to engineering roles. Instead, it felt like my existing material was simply rewritten in a much more wordy and less organized way.

The formatting from the first writer was poor enough and the cover letter sounded just like AI (was almost identical to one I had used ChatGPT for) that I requested a new writer. While the second writer did deliver the revision on time, the end result felt essentially the same. The resume still came across as very generic, AI-y and didn’t seem particularly aligned with engineering resumes or early-career candidates.

The cover letter was especially disappointing. The structure and wording looked extremely similar to AI-generated templates I had previously experimented with myself. It honestly gave the impression that the content was being generated from prompts rather than thoughtfully written for my background.

At that point it started to feel like I was doing most of the work myself. The only meaningful improvements came from things I had already added or discussed with recruiters independently.

After showing the resume to recruiters, I was actually advised to rewrite parts of it again, which defeats the purpose of paying for a professional resume service in the first place.

Overall, I truly don’t feel like I received anything of real value from this service. The process felt very templated and impersonal, and it left me questioning how much customization actually happens behind the scenes.

Another issue was the lack of any real conversation or consultation. I expected some back-and-forth about my experience, questions about my projects, or guidance on how certain things could be improved or better presented. That never really happened. There wasn’t much discussion about how to strengthen the resume or tailor it to engineering roles, which is something I assumed would be part of a professional resume service.

I’m planning to request a refund because I genuinely don’t feel the service provided meaningful improvements. I did notice that the company states on their website that they do not offer refunds, but given the experience, I still feel it’s worth trying to ask.

In hindsight, I feel like I relied too heavily on the positive reviews when deciding to purchase the service, and unfortunately my experience didn’t reflect what I expected based on those.
