I deposited and played on RetroBet, and had won just over AUD $900. .
Verifying my account went through a breeze and thinking back, I probably should have known then, this casino was a scam!
After trying to withdraw the $900 of my winnings i receive an email saying I “exceeded the maximum bet limit of AUD 7.50 while using a bonus” and they instantly removed ALL my winnings !!!! I know for a fact I did not once bet over $7.50. I didn’t even go as high as $5!
The whole $900+ was taken. Stolen from my account!! I emailed them straight away and surprisingly they did send through my betting log. There is not one single bet over the $7.50 bet they claim I breached. There isn’t one bet over $3.00!!!
I have asked them time and time again to PROVE to me how I broke the terms they alleged but all I get are responses the decision is final and basically to bad we stole your $900.
I just cannot believe Retrobet think it’s ok to STEAL their customers money. I will be seeking legal advice and taking this further.

All was fine with this casino until I went to verify payment to make a (small enough) withdrawal. After several rejections of my documents, its now at pending for a couple of days which I presume means it hasn't been rejected. I can no longer get through to an agent on the site and my emails aren't being answered. If casinos need verification to withdraw,, they should nred it to deposit but theyve no problem taking it. When i requested to close my account i got a respinse within hours. My emails have been ignored for at least 4-5 days now. Very disappointed with this as otherwise a great sire

my account was hacked and my password was changed without my knowledge which led to me losing 25k in my balance which I waited 3 weeks to withdrawal , I am trying very hard to reach out to retro bet to help recover my funds but I get no response it took almost 3 weeks to verify my account because of a statement issue. I would not recommend this site at all total scammers

I deposited and played on RetroBet recently, and had AUD 1,300 in my account. Out of nowhere, I received an email saying I “exceeded the maximum bet limit of AUD 7.50 while using a bonus” and they instantly removed ALL my winnings.
Here’s the problem:
No real-time warning – At no point did the system show a pop-up, alert, or any in-game notification telling me that my bet was over the limit. If they truly cared about fairness, they would stop the bet or warn the player BEFORE taking action.
Hidden rule – This so-called “max bet rule” is buried deep in their Terms & Conditions page on their website. It is not displayed clearly in the bonus description or during gameplay. Most players wouldn’t even know it exists.
Disproportionate penalty – Even if I had accidentally placed a slightly higher bet, taking away the entire AUD 1,300 is excessive and feels like theft. A fair company would void only the affected bet, not the whole balance.
No evidence provided – They did not send me any actual game log, timestamp, or bet history to prove the alleged breach.
This is predatory behaviour targeting players who make honest mistakes. They use hidden fine print to justify wiping out your balance, and it’s clear they rely on players not reading pages of legal text before playing. My advice: Stay far away from RetroBet.
There are plenty of online casinos that operate transparently and treat customers fairly. This one clearly does not.

Playing was good. My withdrawal was reviewed for a few hours. Then i get back a request for :all sent and attached as one screenshot. Photo ID, passport, bank card, bank account summaries. But to sign up you need name, email and a password? What a joke.

Their free promotional emails that are in line with other players large winnings are a great feature & gesture

Casino is great and games are awesome but make sure you read the fine print. There is very little chance of withdrawing any funds as you have to bet over 3000 dollars before you can. Even if you have deposited real money and then want it back, you can’t get it back. It’s a shame as it would be a much more popular platform if they were upfront about how the bonus money works.
