The box itself is lovely and well-made, but Google tells me insects (especially bees) won't use it if it's unstable at all, and it's rather unstable. I've tried other 'with stake' boxes and they're always a bit wobbly; this one is no exception, so I hung it on a fencepost using the helpful hook on the back - just the one hook though, so it's only attached at the top, and as soon as the wind blows it rocks from side to side. I'll need to rip out the metal mesh in order to nail the bottom half to the fencepost, then re-staple the mesh. Haven't done it yet but imagine it will fix the problem - but this seems a bit of a design flaw..? You can see in the photo that it isn't sitting straight...
