AVOID SCOOTY. Charged for a Ride That Never Worked – No Support or Refund

On July 5, I tried to rent a bike using the SCOOTY app. I added $5 to my account, but the bike wouldn’t unlock. Despite this, I was charged for the ride.

Since then, I’ve been trying to get a refund. I’ve contacted them through both email and live chat. Every time I email, they ask for my name and phone number—even though I’ve already sent this information multiple times. On live chat, they either tell me to email or say the issue has been escalated to a human agent, but no one ever joins the chat. Eventually, the bot just returns and tells me to email again.

It’s been nearly a month with no resolution. The support system is just a frustrating loop of auto-responses with no real help. Avoid SCOOTY.
