It's a scam.
Ringrecycleme advertises itself as a convenient way to recycle plastic 6-pack ring carriers which are not recyclable in most curbside collection programs. After saving and collecting a box full of plastic ring carriers, I downloaded a shipping label from the website and mailed them in to be recycled. After about a week I tracked the package just to make sure it was delivered and it wasn't. I looked closer and saw that USPS had tried to deliver the package but they couldn't get into the business. I waited a few more days and it still hadn't been delivered so I reached out to USPS asking why my package wasn't being delivered and was just sitting at the Waller, Texas post office. I received a personal email from the Waller, Texas post office stating that they have made countless attempts to deliver packages to Ringrecycleme but the business gate is locked and they have no way to get the package to the business. They also stated the business has NOT picked up their packages at the post office after being notified they are at the post office.
I reached out to Ringrecycleme asking why they won't accept or claim the packages and they DID NOT respond.
In other words, all the time you spent collecting and saving ring carriers to be recycled was for nothing. The packages are held at the post office for a certain amount of time and then they are sent to the undeliverable mail warehouse where they are destroyed. Your plastic ring carriers are not being recycled, they are being destroyed and ending up in landfills or incinerators. Stay away from Ringrecycleme in Waller, Texas.
