Avoid this man

So disgusted that this man continues to scam people and cause damage to their properties. There is something wrong with the law in this country that allows an undocumented and uninsured cowboy builder to operate. He has been taken to court and managed to convince the bailiffs that he has no money to repay us £1800 for a botched job. His name was brought up by someone on Facebook last month as he ruined their home and owes them nearly £4000. So many people joined the chat to say they were victims of his shoddy workmanship or they were roofers who had been to homes to rectify his shoddy work. We are taking all our information to Trading standards and taking him back to court where he has to show his income and we can recover our money.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - scammer

Couldn't warn you off Richard Curry and RJC Roofing enough. This man has said he would do a full fiberglass roof for me. Not only did he leave my home a complete mess with fiberglass all over my garden, resin down my windows & damage to my double glazing seals. I then got a leak 6 months later. After trying to contact him for months and months, I finally got a second opinion in who took photos me and confirmed the entire roof needs redoing. He has only done 1 coat of fiberglass - no sealing or top coat. The boards are already completely waterlogged, he hasn't done the flashing at all, he's done the fascia in a way that is now damaging my render. The gutters are propped up by roof tiles and not even attached to the house, and he has put a hole in my side roof. It is atrociously bad. Complete con artist who is preying on vulnerable people and taking their hard earned money. I am now needing to pursue him through small claims courts.

Imminent property charge through the county court with yearly interest on route to Mr Curry's home.

They ripped off my Niece. This man Mr Curry charged my Niece just short of £3800 for a new GRP coated roof. She's a young defenceless tiny girl, living on her own. Do not trust these people, they are Rogue traders. Not GRP coated, it's just bare weatherboard with no run off, no gradient to allow the water to run off. Pooling water and leaking badly.
Court proceedings imminent.

stay away

this company quoted a flat roof repair for us back in june 2020 for a client in cumbria, richard curry got the go ahead for the works which was priced at £8290.00 once completed he sent photos of the completed works, and was paid in full
now octonber 2024 the roof works have Failed and roof was leaking, he also give a 25 yer guarantee for his works, i contacted Richard to go a back to site see if any thing can be done, he has completely ignored us , our company has now had to go site to inspect the leaking flat roof, and found out he has not done what he quoted for back in 2020 and has only done what could be around £1500.00 worth of works and not the £8290.00 amount of works he priced, we have not had to repair the roof correctly to put right what rcj roofing has done and not done back in 2020 .

rcj roofing clearly knows the works were not done back in 2020 hence rcj roofing not returning to site and ignoring all messages, phone calls from us. please do not sue this company
