Very, very disappointed.
I bookmarked this exhaust system on Roadsitalia.com over 12 months ago and was genuinely excited when I finally saved up enough to purchase it. As an international buyer from Australia, the total cost including shipping was substantial (around $900 AUD), so my expectations for a premium product were high.
Unfortunately, after installing the pipe, I noticed a clear cosmetic defect: one of the lower straps was bent and poorly finished. While it doesn’t affect performance, on a high-end exhaust this kind of flaw is unacceptable right out of the box.
What followed was even more frustrating. Customer service informed me that because the defect was cosmetic and only noticed after installation, a full replacement wasn’t possible under their warranty policy. Instead, they offered a “free repair kit” and instructed me to drill out the old rivets and replace the strap myself (or pay a local workshop to do it). The email exchange felt scripted and impersonal — like arguing with a chatbot that kept repeating the same policy lines without any real flexibility or empathy.
For a premium-priced product with expensive international shipping, expecting the customer to perform repairs on a brand-new item is ridiculous. The logistics of returning it to Italy make that option impractical anyway.
I ended up declining the repair kit and just living with the defect, but the whole experience has left a very sour taste. In hindsight, it cost me $900—I should have paid a bit more and got the Akrapovič instead. At least eBay sellers generally have much more customer-friendly return and warranty policies. What should have been a rewarding purchase turned into a major letdown.
Very, very disappointed. One star. Would not recommend to international buyers

For anyone reading, we would like to clarify a few essential points:
1. The issue reported was a small cosmetic defect on a strap — not a functional problem.
The exhaust was fully operational, and the defect did not affect safety, performance, durability or usability in any way.
2. According to our warranty policy (and common industry practice), cosmetic defects must be reported before installation and before using the product.
In your case, the exhaust was installed, used, and only afterwards the issue was reported.
At that point, a full replacement is no longer possible — a rule that applies to all customers, regardless of country.
3. A full replacement would require shipping an entire exhaust system between Australia and Italy.
This would result in extremely high and unsustainable international shipping costs, which are clearly outside our control.
It would not be reasonable for the customer nor for the manufacturer.
4. For this reason, we offered the only practical, zero-cost, and immediate solution:
✓ A free repair kit, shipped at our expense
✓ A repair that takes a workshop just a few minutes
✓ No downtime and no shipping costs
✓ The same final outcome as an in-factory correction
This is not “asking the customer to repair a new product”, as stated in the review.
It is simply the standard, correct procedure once a product has already been used — exactly as explained clearly in all our emails.
5. Our replies were not scripted or automated.
They were consistent because warranty rules must be applied equally to everyone.
We understand frustration, but stating that our communication lacked empathy does not reflect the time and effort dedicated to providing support and solutions.
6. And just to be clear:
Leaving a one-star review will not alter the objective facts nor magically grant access to solutions that are not permitted by warranty rules.
Our customers are extremely attentive, competent and intelligent — they know how to recognise when a review is based on facts and when it is fueled by unrealistic expectations.
We trust they will not be influenced by accusations that do not reflect the situation accurately.
We remain available should you decide to proceed with the free repair kit we offered, which remains the fastest and most reasonable option.

Once again what you are discribing is not the truth, you sent the courier to Lisbon indeed once (but you mentioned Monday and they tried to collect Friday) of course the package was not ready since i was not at the house whe n the time was agreed. NOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS ILLEGAL you are saying that you can only collect from the place where the previous shipment was made, but then the person is forced to live in that house while the product purchased from you is under warranty? this doesn't make any sense

We received your order on 07/17/2024 and immediately sent it to the warehouse for on-demand production to be able to ship it as soon as possible to your address in Lisbon, Portugal.
On 07/22/2024 the production on request was finished and we sent the package to your address with GLS courier and shipping number L6640182790.
On 07/25/2024 you wrote to us because the sports silencer had a very small defect on the carbon weave and we immediately told you that we would activate the warranty by sending a courier to collect the package in order to replace it with a new sports exhaust.
We always check our products very carefully but we must have missed this defect because it is very small, making mistakes is ultimately human.
We booked the collection of the package at the address you entered during the order phase and when the courier passed the package was not ready, obviously this does not depend on us.
We then booked another pick up for the next day after the weekend but it still didn't suit you.
A new collection is booked for today, we hope you are able to deliver the package to the courier.
Receiving a star because we immediately activated the guarantee but you don't deliver the package to the courier/the courier has slight delays doesn't seem right to us but we can't help but accept your review.

The delivery went well, installation was easy and everything was complete.
The sound is really mega.
I dismantled the exhaust after 1 week because I wanted to paint the center pipe, but I noticed that the catalytic converter was completely broken in 1 week. There were only small parts left.
However, Roads sent me a new catalytic converter. So I was able to install it quickly.
There were no costs or anything else for me
