Could not ask for a better host! Patrice and his family were extremely pleasant and super fun to hangout with. Having a local with knowledge of the island was priceless. He picked me up from the airport, planned my dive trips with barefoot cay(highly recommend)(Mary’s Place dive site), took me to breakfast lunch and dinner, even out to see live music, and transported me to the ferry for Utila. I wanted to dive again on the other side of the island before I left and he accommodated me for that as well. I felt very welcome and safe my entire trip. It was an incredible experience and I plan to stay with him again on my way back. Definitely recommend staying with Patrice if you are passing through or visiting for a moment. Hidden gem of the island ISAURA, his wife. She is a Beautiful Soul. She helped me with my Spanish, was incredibly kind, even sat with me long enough to see a gorgeous unforgettable sunset.
