I bought a aircon compressor had it fitted only to find out it was faulty being a c5 it has cost me a fortune to get the job done twice who do you think should cover the extra cost

Just try to get help ! No one will help you ! They have no customer service. Pay more somewhere else, you will thank me.

I ordered part for my X.3 BMW they charge me $317 they send me wrong size and I returned the part back to them. They only refunded me $100. They kept all my money and they’re not willing to give me the rest of my money I would never ever Buy a part from them again.

I purchased a lift support for my vehicle. The part arrived and it didn't fit. Turns out rockauto mixed two different parts under one section. They mixed lift gates and lift supports together instead of subdividing them into two different parts. They refused to perform the exchange. I had to return the wrong part at my own cost. I will never buy from them again.

Ordered two rotors and calipers with brake pads. When installing the second rotor the sliding pin holes would not line up, wich I found strange since the caliper was bolted to bracket when it came out of the box. Since the old caliper bolted to the bracket with no issue, I continued to fiddle around with it for more than an hour.

When I tried to get a refund since I did not want to wait several days for a replacement
I had to go purchased one locally.

Rockauto refused to refund me my money because I had installed grease on it. It is a brake caliper and proper installation requires to grease part of caliper.

Not my fault that the part did not fit. This was my first order with this dishonest company and never again.

The problem is that we cannot see the negative reviews when you google them like most businesses.

replacing hood, fender and bumper cover on chevy cruze. First hood arrived severely damaged in transit by carrier, rockauto refunded purchase and I ordered another hood. This hood came packaged very well however after opening the TECHPRO hood there are 3 LARGE waves or bowl shaped dips in the hood. These will be needing lots of bodywork and filler to correct. It is impossible to call Rockauto since they have no contact information available online. Never again will I deal with such a questionable website

RockAuto is a TRASH COMPANY. I ordered Brembo kit for my 2017 Honda Accord Touring V6 using their vehicle lookup tool and they sent me rotors for a completely different trim. Their site clearly listed these under my car, so I trusted it.

When I proved their catalog was wrong they refused to cover return shipping or take responsibility. My car sat on the hoist for a full day, I had to buy new rotors locally and pay extra labor, and they still blamed me.

Misleading listings. Horrible customer service. ZERO accountability.
Be VERY careful when ordering. It is basically final sale with this company.

Power steering pump fittings and size didnt match the car, although it was the right pump one bolt hole was smaller and the body size was 3 mm larger and didnt fit the frame without some retro fitting, to date all previous orders have been on par. odd this happened now.

I ordered a gas tank. Paid for overnight shipping (very expensive), my gas tank arrived 5 days later. Rockauto refused to rectify the situation in any way. I have not done business with them since 2021. They will never receive another penny from me.

Received a defective part right after installation and RockAuto refused to take responsibility.
They want me to pay for the return of a faulty product.
No help, no respect for customers.

I do not recommend them, I lost money with them. After paying almost $46.00, they sent me parts that were not for the car, and when I returned them, they only refunded me $10.45. Honestly, this is a scam because they charge you for shipping but there is no good communication. I lost about $35. I will never place an order again since I realized that these people do dropshipping from the distributors, and the distributors do not charge for shipping, but Rockauto charges the customer for shipping to keep the money. A scam.

It doesn't matter what i say they are so big at this point you will still buy from them.

I purchased two windshield wiper blades, on the same order, to be shipped to Hawaii. The minimum shipping charge was $33. I placed the order as this is the only place currently offering these blades. The order was shipped in TWO very large boxes full of packing, rather than one. Plus, they were shipped USPS Ground. They finally arrived on-island after several weeks. When I contacted customer service about the shipment (missing at the time) they only offered the ability to cancel the order. Both of these wiper blades would have fit easily into a flat-rate USPS box for less money, plus arrived in 2-3 days. Poor customer service, unacceptable shipping methods.

Ordered timing belt kit and the water pump pin for the tensioner was the incorrect size and the tensioner was also the wrong type as I needed the type with a spring tensioner bracket on it. Also ordered a cam sprocket holder and the description said it would work on my vehicle but clearly after looking at it I knew it wouldn't work as it was not wide enough to reach both cam sprockets. I had previously removed my parts in preparation and ended up reinstalling original parts as this is my daily driver. I usually go to yotashop.com and probably should have. Returning charges are to high since I opened package and will likely sell them online. Rockauto was a bit better a few yrs back but obviously things have changed.

Only giving 1 star because I can't leave 0 stars! I needed a new ignition switch for my 2003 monte carlo due to a no start issue. I decided to replace the entire ignition system including keyway, passlock sensor cylinder and switch module. I decided I wanted all original GM Genuine parts, and ordered them all from Rock Auto. Although the ignition switch module appeared to be different than the original module (Color was different), it did come in a GM Genuine parts box. I assumed that GM must have changed suppliers and that was the reason. It also had a sticker on it that said "Made in China". Again, I didn't think much of it. Installed everything, and still no start issue. I battled this issue for 2 months, troubleshooting every day in any spare time I had. I finally gave up and had car towed to a dealership shop. $130 to have car towed, and $1,000 shop troubleshooting charges later, they informed me that it was the ignition switch, and that the switch installed is not a GM Genuine part and was a defective knock off. Due to cost they quoted to replace it, I spent another $130 to have it towed back to my house. Since I spent 60 days troubleshooting, I was past the 30 day return policy of Rock Auto. When I confronted them about them selling me counterfeit part, they agreed to the return, but informed me that I had to pay the return shipping. What? You sold me a defective counterfeit part and I have to pay the return shipping? This company is nothing but a bunch of con-artists selling counterfeit parts in Genuine packaging. I will absolutely never buy another part from Rock Auto for any reason! Buyers beware! You have been warned.

When too good to be true, actually turns out to be true, my faith in humanity is restored a little. That is the level of service I experienced with RockAuto!

Don’t let the look of their website put you off - these guys focus on what’s really important, providing specialist parts at a great price, with quick delivery and after sales follow up - NOT the look of their website!

I ordered rotors and pads for my 2015 Genesis from them, a little worried about whether I would get the product, and whether it would be quality. I needn’t have worried!

1993 Corvette power steering pump. Very frustrated, I paid extra to get the part today. It was advertised and scheduled to arrive today. It was important to get the part on today for an event, so I took the day off so I’d have plenty of time. The part showed all day it would be delivered today but it’s almost 11pm and still not here. I wasted a day off and will now miss my event. Very very disappointed with RockAuto. It’s not worth the trouble, would not purchase thru them again.
