Paul and Duncan are honestly the best tradesman we have ever used. From the very start of the project to the very end nothing was too much trouble.
They went above and beyond to make sure we got what we wanted and on top of giving us the most perfect Studio they renovated our whole garden which looks amazing. If we had a decision to make i.e lighting they would send options to make it as easy as possible to pick something suitable. We couldn’t have picked a better company to have done this work for us and we can’t recommend them enough.

I found Paul and Duncan great guys to work with, dependable and very professional in their approach to detail. I am extremely pleased with the soundproof studio they built for me, although it’s not a full soundproof studio (they do build them though!) as I wanted extra windows and doors so I can use it as an office as well, however the sound reduction is still exceptionally good as tested with my guitars and amps and I have had no complaints from the neighbours! The soundproof insulation also makes the room maintain the heat in the winter as well as keeping the hot weather out in the summer. The rock fascia finish is particularly good, maintenance free and it complements the rest of my property. Friends and family are in awe of my music man cave. Having looked at other garden room suppliers beforehand the Rockwood build, and quality stood out in front of others. I definitely made the right choice going with them. Brilliant service and highly recommended if you are looking for a good soundproof studio or any bespoke garden room.

Found Duncan and Paul to be totally professional from the very first point of contact. I needed a studio that could be used for music practice (I play the bagpipes) so sound reduction was of the essence whilst the shape of the garden meant the build wasn’t a straightforward one (the studio is a 5 sided building). They were totally unfazed by any of this. The finish both inside and out is of the highest standard, the slate finish looks stunning.
Can’t praise or recommend the company highly enough.

Rockwood (Paul and Duncan Kirk) just completed a pair of garden offices for us. We are delighted with the whole experience and thrilled with the internal and external finish of the building. We had a good look round the market before deciding to go with Rockwood and in our view they have simply the best product currently out there at a really good (and quoted very transparently) price. They turned up when they said they would and did what they promised to do, punctually, cheerfully, flexibly and competently. After previous experiences with builders it was like a breath of fresh air. I recommend them without hesitation.

I first met the Kirk brothers when they were finishing Rockwood Studio number 1 in Sutton. The Rock Cladding and excellent finish won me over instantly and I knew that I had to have one!
Not only did I find Duncan and Paul warm and welcoming, but very professional too. I knew instantly that I wanted to use them, however I did not make my mind up until 18 months later, by which time they were already on studio 41! You need to get in quick with these guys, because they are always fully booked up and that’s because of the high standard of their studios and their outstanding work ethic and very friendly approach. My studio was finished in no time at all and is our additional room, which we would have been lost without during lockdown when I had to use it as my classroom to teach my students remotely. The fantastic installation meant that I was never cold in the winter months and cool in the summer. We have been the envy of many friends and neighbours.

The studio is not just a place to work, but to party in and relax in too. My only regret is not asking Paul and Duncan to make it a bit larger, so that I could have a small room to use as a workshop.

If you are in any doubt, you need not worry. It’s taken me almost four years to write this review, so my studio has been tried and tested in all seasons by my family and we love it! There is plenty of room for a large sofa, armchair and desk with room to spare.

It’s a shame that Paul and Duncan aren’t still builders as I’d employ them in a heartbeat to do work on my house. Most of all, they are exceptionally trustworthy and clean workers. Don’t delay, get your studio built today!!

I waited a year after my office installation to write this so I could experience all seasons. I am delighted with my Rockwood garden office. The insulation is very good and I had no problems all through winter. I went for underfloor heating, which works well but takes time to adjust if you want to suddenly change or reduce the temperature. My only issue was in the very hot few days we had in the summer. Up to 28-29 degrees outside was completely fine but beyond that was getting uncomfortable and aircon would have been nice to have. My office is north facing and shaded by trees to the south.

Everything else is great. I love the look of the rock cladding and the quality all around is excellent. The guys on site during the install were very friendly and tidy. I would 100% recommend Rockwood to anyone that needs a full-time garden office. Given the COVID restrictions, getting this installed last year couldn't have been better for me.

Best tradesman we've ever used, from day 1 until the end, Duncan and Paul were timely, considerate and built us a fantastic addition to our home. The building is an office, a family room, a man cave...probably the best thing we have ever done

We have been very pleased with the service from Rockwood, from arranging the original visit to completing our room. We were involved and kept up to date throughout the process. They were able to source the roof colour we wanted and the final room is everything we hoped.

Excellent product and process from start to finish. Really believe in and care about their product and doing a fantastic job. Great guys to have around your house for a couple of weeks which really helps. Was genuinely faultless.
The finish with the rock cladding looks fantastic and very different from the traditional wood product. Anyone who has seen it loves it!

Genuinely outstanding from start to finish. Duncan and Paul really nice people and work to the highest professional standards. Kept us constantly updated with the work via video, always left the garden tidy at the end of each day, and work ethic and product was superb. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rockwood Garden Studios. The building quality itself was excellent using high grade materials. we had bathroom installed which works perfectly, along with electricity and heating. My family all slept in the studio the day it was completed, when outside temperature was below freezing. Building remained very warm inside and perfectly insulated. We have double glazed windows also, spot lights and lovely wood effect flooring. everything was completed start to finish in 3 weeks, which was Duncan's estimate. There are a lot of builders we know in our area that give this occupation a bad name. Duncan and Paul couldn't be more different. thank you both very much. Please keep in touch, Richard and Tracy

We are extremely happy with our Rockwood garden studio. The guys did a truly excellent job. If you're looking for some extra living room without the hassle of an extension this is it! We can't thank Duncan and Paul enough.

Absolutely delighted with what the guys have built. We had a good feeling about going with Rockwood from the start but what they've produced has exceeded our expectations and we now can't wait to enjoy it. Duncan and Paul are great guys, polite, friendly and very professional. I would highly recommend a Rockwood garden studio to anyone.
