Used Roman Taxis for the 1st time today for a Cinema Trip - The car was very comfy - Driver was exceptionally courteous & friendly - Felt very safe & would certainly recommend & use again

Booked Roman Taxis for an airport transfer. Excellent service and friendly drivers. Pick up was on time and the van was clean and comfortable. Will definitely use again for future holidays.
UNRELIABLE - Booked a taxi 5 days in advance using the Roman Taxi's website. Collect location was Ibis Budget Hotel. The online system changed from the name of the premises I entered to the address (164 Malpas Road). Taxi booked for 0625 to allow plenty of time to get to the train station for a 0650 train. Waited outside of the hotel from 0620 for taxi - 0625 (pick up time) and taxi had not arrived. At 0625 I received an email from Roman Taxis automated system to tell me "your vehicle has been dispatched and will arrive at the time requested" The time of this message was the time it was supposed to be at the hotel ! Called the office number several times and received no reply. Taxi eventually arrived at 0635 - TEN MINUTES LATE. Driver used the excuse that he was looking for a house number and not the hotel (THIS IS HOW YOUR SYSTEM WORKS, NOT SOMETHING I ENTERED INCORRECTLY). We then had a very stressful journey to the train station. We arrived at the station at 0642 as the driver exceeded the speed limits (thankfully) to get us there on time. I WILL NEVER USE ROMAN TAXI'S AGAIN AND BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM IF YOU NEED TO BE SOMEWHERE AT A SPECIFIC TIME.
Thank you for your reply. I would suggest you get also get your vehicle tracking system checked as well as speaking with your web developers! 22 was probably the average speed, not the maximum.

Upon checking the bookings records I can see you did indeed book online on the 28.08.25 @ 15:16 how ever I can see no change to the pick up location once you hit the book button. I will ask our developers to look in to this as if this is a glitch in the system we would like to get this fixed ASAP so that this does not happen again in the future to anyone, I can appreciate the stress this must of caused you as we are known for our punctuality.
Regarding the driver braking the speed limit i have replayed the tracking information and watched your joirney from start to end the fastest the vehicle was recorded at was 22MPH.
You were in the vehicle for a total of a minutes and 37 seconds. I therfore find your claim that the driver was speeding inaccurate. You arrived at the train station 9 minutes prior to your train departing. Whilst I understand you would of been there 19 minutes prior to you trains departure had the driver had the correct details, I see you still made your train on time.

Pre booked 4 minibuses over two months before an event. Was going through logistics with Ryan at Roman's Taxis a few days before the event. He said he'd call me back to confirm final details, but instead sent a text ten minutes later saying, "Good afternoon,
I have some ban news for you unfortunately we will not be providing your transport this weekend as all the minibus drivers have just told us they are not working over the weekend. As all drivers are self employed we are unable to meet your booking requirements."
This was less than 48 hours before the event, 2 months after all the booking details had been confirmed. I then tried to call and he avoided all calls, said he'd call back but didn't and finally just ignored us. No apology and no alternative offered, and the excuse itself also sounds like baloney. Terrible, unprofessional service.
This was our first time to use this taxi service. We used the taxi service for airport transfers. Excellent service. Friendly and helpful driver. Taxi on time for pick ups. Communication excellent by receiving confirmation of booking and when driver on his way. Would definitely recommend and use this high standard taxi service again.
What a disappointment! Have always recommended Roman Taxi’s ! Charge from pick up not from where they left ! Today £30 for 6 mile journey ! Never again !! Regular customers !! Airport transfers too !!! Definitely not happy !
