I struggled to find a company to fix a leak in my kitchen an RG Leverett did the job quickly and easily! Everyone was super friendly and helpful i would definitely recommend!

We recently had our roof and couldn’t be happier with the service we received. From the initial quote to the final clean-up, the team was professional, punctual, and incredibly hardworking. They explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, and kept us updated throughout the process.

I originally contacted R G Leverett requesting quote for repair to a leaking garage roof. (Vicky, tel contact very friendly and helpful) A quote of almost £1000 was given, which seemed expensive but I was keen to get leak fixed and the ‘repair’ was completed, or so I understood. Unfortunately, the repair didn’t work and the next rainfall revealed the leak was just as bad. I spoke with Vicky, and another attempt was made to stop the leak, which again failed. I was quoted a further £1350 to sort out the problem (Leverett’s stating that they can’t guarantee to actually stop the leak. Which begs the question what did I pay £1000 for?). Anyway, I have now had the roof repaired by a different company, who not only charged way less than the first or second quote, but also stated the work done by Leverett’s was substandard! Apparently, they should have put new felt in and made sure no gaps between the felt and the gully! I was told they did neither and the cost for what they did do was excessive! Consequently I would not recommend R G Leverett!

I have used Leveretts in the past for guttering and small roof repair and its been fine. This time, the work proposed by and agreed with the surveyor wasn't on the quote. I think either because they couldn't guarantee a small repair, or because communication between boss and surveyor wasn't good. I didn't want to go ahead without written confirmation of the work. Then they wanted to include extra felting all across the roof, at the bottom. I suggested enlarging the patch repair they were going to do instead, but communication was broken off. This review is not a reflection on their standard of roofing.
The surveyor also said the cause was probably condensation, but I have now discovered there is a broken tile near the ridge and tiles not overlapping. I really think the problem with this company is one of communication. I wish they had explained more the reasoning behind their proposed work.

I was quoted an extremely competitive price after I was let down by another company for the replacement of a flat roof skylight.
I booked them in,they showed up when they were supposed to,they got the the job done!
Dont really know what more you can ask for?
Would definitely recommend and will use again if I need to. 5 stars!!!

A full re-felt of an end terraced house. Leverett went above and beyond to fit us in to fix numerous leaks at a really busy time for them (Dec). Everyone from the initial telephone call through to the completion of work were efficient, polite and timely and were available whenever we needed them.
A fair price for excellent work - we would not hesitate in recommending R G Leverett to anyone requiring roofing work.

Use this company. Professional, high quality service and very approachable. You will not be disappointed.

ive said this on google as well. Great bunch of people. Cant recommend them highly enough, always went the extra mile. Whole roof, start to finish just excellent. When a few unseen issues copped up, there was no mucking about, or sucking of teeth, just explained all the options and then sorted it out. Really looked after my parents.

I very rarely feel the need to leave a negative review for a company but the professionalism of this company is shocking, considering the numerous professional trade bodies that they purport to belong to.
I found myself in a difficult position with my Sandtoft roof tiles failing after only 18 years. Sandtoft agreed to pay for all the tiles to be replaced with a 50% contribution towards the labour etc. I then started the search for a local contractor to do the work and selected RG Leverett based on their trade accreditations etc. I had 2 visits from their surveyor, who was very pleasant and on the second visit I highlighted that the replacement tiles were now slightly smaller than the originals but was told that this wouldn’t be a problem (I even showed him a sample tile). I therefore accepted their quote in good faith and the works were scheduled in. I started to become concerned when it took them 4 attempts to get the material list correct for Sandtoft. I then had a look myself at the different size of tiles and couldn’t work out how they would be able to do the work without replacing all of the battens and felt as the gauge was obviously going to be different. I raised this with the company and was told ‘We have quoted based on m2, so all should be ok.’ This didn’t make any sense to me so I queried it again and was eventually told that they weren’t aware of the changes in tile size and had ‘assumed’ that they were the same size and therefore they would need to provide a revised quotation to include the replacement of the felt and battens! The revised quotation was provided which was an additional £5000 on top of the original quote! I queried the amount as the mistake was clearly their fault and asked for this to be taken into account but they refused to revise their quote and then told me that they had removed my roof from their work schedule!
There was never any sort of apology for their mistake and they simply removed me from their schedule when I raised my frustration, albeit politely.
I find it staggering that a customer with very limited knowledge of roofing had to identify the changes to the size of the tiles (which I understand is quite common given the 18 year timeframe) and there was never any acceptance of blame or a willingness to reflect this in their revised quotation.
Unfortunately I’m now back to square one and looking for another contractor to do the work. Thankfully I’m not an old or vulnerable person who would have been hoodwinked into paying the additional money.
I will be raising the issue with Trading Standards as the company are also somehow members of the Trusted Trader scheme.

Quoted for the job, provided as much information as i could including pictures and was in communication with the main man himself.

Unfortunately after waiting weeks for the install day when the firm turned up the head honcho complained that they couldn't drive up the the rear of the house where the install would take place and stated that they wouldn't carry the materials through the house.

At no point were we asked about access nor was it stated that they would require this level of access to the rear of the property. With '25 years experience' I find it hard to believe that we are the only customer that has ever had a back garden that you cant drive right up to.

Was made worse by the feeling that I was somehow expected to shoulder the blame and instead of a polite apology instead i just received (and I quote) "If somebody else has quoted the same price for the job you should bite their arm off'.

Not impressed, extremely unprofessional and would not recommend this firm to anyone no matter how many fancy pics they have on their website.
