Everything you need to create a beautiful hedge with edible fruit and nuts! This collection consists of premium plants especially-chosen for their performance, colour, form and productivity.
Grow your own sloes, blackberries, raspberries, chestnuts, rosehips and more. All of the plants are supplied as bare roots, except for blackberries and raspberries, which are supplied as 9cm pots and canes, respectively.
Each pack contains five hedging plants per square metre, enough to plant a staggered double row (plus brambles).
Your hedging pack will contain an eclectic mix of plants, chosen from hawthorn, crabapple, sweet cherry, blackthorn, dog rose, raspberry, blackberry, hazelnut, cherry plum, amelanchier, sweet chestnut, tayberry, loganberry, blueberry, gooseberry, currants, black elder and cherry dogwood.
Planting an edible hedge improves soil stability, air quality and provides a fabulous habitat for wildlife. Bees and other pollinating insects are attracted by the flowers in spring and many bird species will feed on the fruits - unless you pick them first!
Featuring hardy, easy care plants that provide interest throughout the year, plant your hedging plants in sun (or partial shade) in any well-drained soil, and water well when newly-planted.
When planting, lay out the hedge with the bare root plants first, then add the blackberries and raspberries in spaces or towards the front of the hedge. See individual plant info pages for detailed care instructions and dimensions.

I wanted to support wildlife in the garden and this edible hedge has all the right plants to do that plus adds a little bit of screening from the neighbours - win/win. Highly recommended!

Delighted with our edible hedge. Plants were packaged with care. Really good root growth on the plants and bigger than I was expecting. They are showing signs of budding already.

Plants all arrived in good condition. Only disappointments are just one blackthorn - would have preferred 5 of thes le as I use sloes , rather tgan 5 St John’s Wort ( didn’t think that had a culinary use ?, do not really edible hedge plant - photos will follow once hedge becomes established

It’s hard to say but they had great established root systems and lasted 5 days without drying out while I got over the flu before planting them. They are in now and I am excited to see them grow!

So far so good, arrived within 10 days and well packaged. All planted out and seem to be settling well. Seems to be a good price for what I hope will be a healthy hedge. Team helpful and responded quickly when I emailed a question.
