Neat and slender 'Accolade' is the perfect flowering cherry tree for a small garden. Plant it as a feature tree in a lawn or front garden border. One of the earliest to bloom in spring, with rich pink buds opening into clusters of fragrant, semi-double pink and white flowers throughout March and April. Vibrant autumn colour with an eye-catching mix of red, amber and golden tones. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner for its looks, ease of growing and performance in British gardens. Naturally forms an airy canopy which doesn't cast too much shade - great for underplanting with perennials or bulbs. In a mild year, you might even get a few bonus flowers in autumn and winter! Looks delicate, is actually hard as nails; this fully cold-tolerant tree thrives in all but chalky soils and is rarely bothered by pests or diseases. Our trees are usually between 18 and 36 months old at the time of dispatch. Our trees are professionally pruned before dispatching. This formative pruning can involve cutting the main leader, if the expert tree growers decide this will produce a better shaped tree. This can stop the tree becoming "leggy", and promote stronger, bushier growth.MORE Our mature trees are grown in Air-Pots®, the only type of pot to completely eliminate root circling. A unique design stimulates air pruning for a mass of healthy fibrous roots, which results in a healthy tree that will establish quickly in your garden. With each Air-Pot® made to last up to 20 years, we reuse them on the nursery and wrap your mature tree in hessian for delivery - but if you’d rather keep your tree potted, simply add an Air-Pot® to your basket along with your tree.

Disappointed, the tree did not resemble the picture on the web site. It had very few branchlets and these were mainly on one side of the trunk. The top shoots had been pruned and these have now started to produce new shoots. On a more positive note the tree was well packed and these have now very sparse branchlets appeared healthy

A bit disappointed that the plant was so dry, delivered almost 10days, we keep adding water everyday and still turn to brown colour.

The trees sent to me were in good condition.

Was very dehydrated on arrival (2 days late), some lower branches haven’t recovered but these are ones I would prune off eventually. The remaining branch tips are green so I hope it will recover

Firstly I would like to thank Megan for going above and beyond with help and customer service, she is AMAZING and a credit to the company! My tree is beautiful and will remind me and my daughter of our special trip to Japan for her 21st birthday. I have purchased 3 trees from Roots and will be buying all my future trees from you too. Very disappointed. I paid £150 including delivery for my tree. I expected something substantial at this price. Instead I got something on a par with fruit trees you see at a supermarket for £10 or £20 - albeit probably healthier. I complained to Roots who refunded me £62.50 which was appreciated, but still made for a very expensive sapling. Maybe in 10 years, it'll look like a tree!
