This popular variety has been bred to combine the texture and productivity of ‘Conference’ with the decadent, gourmet taste of ‘Doyenné du Comice’
Perfectly suited to the UK climate, ‘Concorde’ is able to grow well in colder, more exposed locales
This doesn’t lead to a compromise on flavour, though, with fine-tasting, honeyed fruits cropping late in the season towards the end of October
One of the best keeping pears – pick them just before they're ripe and you can store them right the way through until January
Yields double the crop of both its parent trees; in fact, you can expect a good crop within just two years
‘Concorde’ is (unsurprisingly) a recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, which is conferred upon those plants deemed to be of particularly high quality
Grafted onto a Quince A rootstock, this pear tree grows to a maximum height and width of just four by four metres, meaning that it will happily fit in most gardens

A good looking tree

The two biggest roots were cut very short and I'm hoping that the few roots left will actually support what looks like a reasonable top growth, again roots starting to dry out. That is before they were soaked . The roots were badly packed with only a plastic bag tied round in order to retain the moisture !

Not sure of the product. I was expecting a living tree. Selected and paid for mature tree. I got a bare root in a pot.? Not a single leaf or any sign of a living tree. Anyway I planted the supposed to be leafless MATURE TREE, Hopefully I will see a tree eventually. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Once again upon receiving the tree I was disappointed. Not a single leaf and looking more like a stick than a pear tree. From this tree would I recommend Roots, unfortunately no. I hope that in spring things will change.
