Brand: Roots Plants
An RHS-award-winning variety, ‘Earlibird’ is one of the so-called Supersweet varieties, and, perhaps unsurprisingly given the name, crops earlier than any of the other Supersweets.
Producing cobs up to 20cm in length, this sweetcorn is ideal for grilling and barbecuing, and, if you’re up for a challenge, you can even try your hand at making your very own corn tortillas (be warned, though, it’s pretty labour-intensive).
Grow your sweetcorn plants in a grid pattern in raised beds, allotments and even spacious borders. Plant out in May and you’ll be able to harvest all the way through from July to October.
Our corn plants are grown under glass at our nursery with all the love and care you could possibly muster, before being sent to you as healthy young plants, ready to get going in the ground.
A quick note: Supersweet corn varieties do best when planted without any other varieties alongside them to avoid cross-pollination and preserve the sweetness in the corns.

I ordered a strip of 10 Earlibird sweetcorn plants. Unfortunately I was sent only 6 plants but they look healthy enough and are growing well

It's fine but the trees I've ordered from here we're in a really poor state, I just can't review positively

Strong plug plants even after planting and the foxes digging them up a few times they have still taken and are growing well

Really unhappy that one tray arrived with 8 stable plants and I didn't even notice two tiny ones. Contacted Roots Plants they weren't very helpful and said two tiny diddler plants would catch up, within 3 days they were dead!

Arrived well packed and healthy roots. Have potted them out on arrival they are growing well
Arrived with dry root ball and broken package. Most plantlets now dead or not thriving: see photos. Informed Roots but no offer to replacement.

Supposed to be 10 plug-plants, only 8 came, 3 of them looked very damaged and yellow, now dead. 20% of refund accepted.

some were bent ,but generally good condition

Good product - but I only received 31 plants instead of the 40 I paid for

Plants were small on arrival and did not survive. They did not grow and gradually one by one they withered. This was the 2nd order of sweetcorn and the first ones were taller and stronger and are doing okay.

When these arrived there were fewer than I had ordered and they looked a bit shaken. I received a refund for the shortage and the rest are growing good and strong

The corn plants look reasonably good but because of the way they were packaged (tightly packed in a box with other plants) they were slightly crushed, and one of them had its roots lifted up partially out of the compost. I was a bit surprised as previous orders from Roots Plants have been excellent.

Poorly packed. Had two bent in two and nit looking good. Few others bent but not folded over. Plants were quite big with alot of roots making them difficult to separate. Found wetting them through helped. Big issue the cutouts in the box did not work with these types of plants
