The tree arrived dormant in March, looking strong and sturdy. It is early days, but the supporting advice that came with it is very reassuring, and having followed that advice plus favourable weather, the tree is now coming out of dormancy very well (16th April). I doubt it will fruit this year, but we are in for the long game after all. ( ;o)

I paid extra to have trees established in pots. In fact, the root balls were poorly formed and much of the soil simply fell away on handling, as if it had been recently added, prior to shipment.

Our apple tree is now planted and looking good and healthy. Can’t wait for the apples to come but I’m guessing that will be a while yet. I will send a photo when it has grown a bit more.
