I take my two cats regularly to the vets

I take my two cats regularly to the vets for injections, fleas etc. They both are 11yrs old and they both get very stressed about the journey and vets itself. The vet whom I saw tonight Aniela Mogos. Was fantastic with them. She showed empathy and probably calmed me down to. Also very informative. Thank you

40 minutes over my appointment time and not seen and had to cancel leaving my stressed cat vomiting due to unnecessary stress

It pains me to leave this review as I’ve always praised my vets for their service but not this time. My recent visit with my cat for a booster shot was a joke. Appointment was for 12.45 yet she was still sat in her box getting extremely stressed at 13.25. She’s never travelled well but this time I was getting really worried about her excessive breathing and stress so I had to cancel. Yes they had an emergency but to leave her in this state especially now I’ve got home and she’s vomited everywhere is inexcusable. As I said I didn’t want to leave this review but I’m fuming

Unfriendly and cold and all.about the money

I have decided to leave this vetinary practice after a consultation that left me angry and very stressed ,the vet in question was very unfriendly amd was quick to point out my dogs eye needed removing and woupd waste money looking at a second opinion.amd was looking at 1700 pounds, after a sea.swim.and nearly 12 days after the visit the swelling ij the eye has gone ans was told after 2 weeks my dog wouod be in pain ,which is far from the truth ,im now registered with another vet and getting a second opinion, its a Shame as a female vey in visited last year saved my dogs life ,treating a horrible skin condition she picked up

Don't register your pet there

Always waiting at least 30-40 mins over the appointment time. When I took my cat in the vet didn't have a clue what she was doing and they all seem like they are just out of university. The costs are extortionate and my cat ended up with a flea infestation from a visit and they didn't want to know. She is an indoor cat and I worked from home. I am also unable to use the pet health care plan at any other surgery so am held to ransom at the clinic until I either pay the rest of the plan, which I don't have the money for, or stay with them. Will move as soon as possible. Rosehills has gone downhill

TOO EXPENSIVE

Staff and vet were lovely but it’s extremely overpriced and I left feeling conned. I told the vet how I couldn’t afford to keep paying £70/£80 for flea treatment so she showed me a way of getting them cheaper online and gave me a prescription which would last the year and also gave my cat one spot on treatment which I was greatful for as he is a highly strung cat. So I was happy until I came to pay and was charged £120 and then realised I will have to pay a further £25 for the rest of the treatments on top as the £120 treatment will only cover my cat for 1 month. I’ll have to go somewhere else the staff are friendly but everytime I go there I am spending over £100 just to get flea treatment and it rarely works, most of the time they don’t ever look my cat over and the appointment never last more than 10 mins

No appointment available to see my German Shepard who been in pain for two days now

We phoned up vet reception to book an appointment , as my German Shepard has injured his front paw and been in pain for over 48 hours now , only to be told no available appointment all week , we are to phone at 0800 next day to see if we can get an appointment . I am gob smacked . This has never happened before and being a customer for over 20 years . Looks like l could be going to another vet surgery seems this vet is just money orientated , and no care for pets . Definitely changed to the worst

Just want your money

Nurses and receptionist were friendly and polite. After telling her the symptoms 1st vet missed an ear infection and seemed scared of my dog. So examination wasn't very thorough. Told me to buy some piriton as just an allergy. 2 days later py dogs ear was really hot, smelling worse and he was in distress and pain. Had to go back and was told he had an infection and needs ear drops. Was charged for the 2nd consultation even though they missed the problem in the 1st place. The price of the consultation of £54 each isn't cheap and the medication is very expensive. Will be changing vets as they didn't really seemed bothered about my concerns about the 1st vet missing the problem unyet still charging me for same condition. Shame really as the place is spotlessly clean and tidy and most of the staff friendly and good to chat to.

Not the vets it once was…

Rosehill vets seems to of lost the warmth that it once had, I’m not sure if it’s because it’s now part of an amalgamation of practice's.
But after a recent appointment, and paying the bill I was made to feel really uncomfortable by both receptionists, My card for some reason didn’t work on contactless and as I’ve not used my card for ages I forgot my pin, my pin was then blocked. I asked if I could do on line banking and asked for the vets banking details, which was replied with, no because the payment won’t show in our bank for three days!
She then asked if I could pay via the Rosehill website, I said not a problem I’ll do it when I get home, the receptionist was then very insistent that I do it there and then, I paid via the website and told them it was done, I was made to feel really uncomfortable by both parties, so I then showed them my phone to show payment had been made, to which she replied to her colleague shall we wait and check? The other reply no that’s fine we’ve seen confirmation of payment! I’ve never been made to feel like a criminal, or so untrusted in my life, if I was worried about paying a vets bill I wouldn’t of called and made an appointment, but I felt like I wouldn’t of been allowed to leave until the bill was paid, I’ve been at Rosehill for 15+ years and never not paid a bill, I’ve never known such absolutely appalling customer services, and sadly this is an incredibly poor reflection of a once outstanding vets.
I would definitely suggest retraining staff, that really wasn’t an acceptable manner to treat a client

Awful treatment

Rosehill Vets, Molesworth Road, Plymouth.
I’m writing this as a warning as there seems to be no online reviews. My dog went in for a routine yearly vaccination. There was absolutely nothing wrong with him. He came out with both ears bleeding where the locum vet had shaved his ears taking off a layer of skin. He had also pulled a clump of fur from below his eye. He diagnosed vasculitus and an eye infection. And wanted me to go back in a weeks time for a biopsy. He told me to get in touch with my insurance company as this was going to be expensive. I picked up prescribed meds, paid and left. At home my dog was clearly distressed and in pain. I phoned the vets back for pain relief and they told me to go get calpol. I put my dog in a collar to stop him scratching and I took my dog to another vet for a second opinion a few days later and they seemed to agree nothing was wrong except the new damage to his ears, eyes were fine. They took photos of his ears to let a dermatologist see them. When they phoned back later that day they seemed to agree with the first vet. Which was strange and made me suspicious. The original vet was a locum and with a bit of research I found out he also work for the second vet. I phoned a few vets locally and found he worked in several. I booked my dog in with a vet out of town that does not use locums. They agreed I was right not to put the steroid cream on his ears and there was no eye infection. A month later they checked my dog again and he had completely recovered , there was no vasculitus or eye infection. No biopsy necessary.
I complained to original vet requesting a full refund on what I had paid, they made a lower offer as a gesture of goodwill. I demanded the full amount and as a gesture of goodwill I wouldn’t take them to court. They paid up. They were rude, condescending, uncooperative and never once put my dogs health before financial gain. Please check reviews on a vet before you choose it.
