I cannot recommend Rowlinsons enough! This is now my second time using Alicia Sheath and with her assistant Alex they have made my conveyancing journey so much easier.
They are so knowledgeable, super efficient, quick to respond and more importantly they treat you like an actual person and not just another number.
We’ve had a few hiccups within our chain but even under pressure and when emotions and stress arise with buyers and sellers, Alex remains completely calm and professional and so understanding of the situation.
We are still awaiting to complete but I feel confident with Alicia and Alex it with be dealt with smoothly and efficiently.

I am absolutely over the moon that I chose Rowlinsons Solicitors for my house purchase! It was a really complicated process, as I’d been a tenant in my home for five years and my landlady—who lives abroad—was selling the property. Despite all the challenges, Sammy Woodward was nothing short of incredible!
She was so patient, supportive and incredibly dedicated throughout the whole journey. Sammy chased every document, pushed every decision and kept me informed every step of the way. She truly went above and beyond to make this happen.
And now, as of 3pm today, I officially own my own home! I honestly couldn’t have done it without Sammy and the amazing team at Rowlinsons. If you’re looking for a solicitor who genuinely cares, works tirelessly and delivers results, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Best solicitors ever - highly recommend. Jackie Vernon and Sharelle Fitzgerald have been amazing in the sale of our home. We have engaged them for our purchase as well. They are extremely responsive and totally on top of things and have been a great source of comfort in the inevitable wobbles of house selling and buying. Can't thank them enough - I'd highly recommend to anyone.

After some initial hiccups a staff member was replaced and the new staff member was exemplary . The sale was carried out and conveyancing done professionally and with excellent communications. I would like to particularly thank Noel Davies who stepped in and did an excellent job. My compliments also to Michelle Fisher who handled a difficult staffing scenario promptly and with a customer service approach .

I have bourght a few places in my life and used different solicitors for each as I had never found a good solicitor as they say.

I came across Rowlinsons when I was selling my last property and they were very professional.

Many years later I got back in touch with them who gave me a quote which seemed very reasonable comparing it with several other solicitor companies.

I asked for the same solicitor who I used many years ago when selling my last and did not want anyone else.

Both Cers Terry and Alicia Sheath were outstanding and not only did I find them go above and beyond, they did not take any crap from the sellers solicitor, which i saw from all emails which were disclosable to the client at the end of the process.

I have many learning disabilities and some of the information I found difficult but they took their time, they didn't rush any thing and waiting for me to be ready, they both made sure I understood everything about the property and any issues that it had.

The property that I was buying was in a High Flood area, which after doing their checks they brougt my attention to this in particular and would not allow the morgage to go through until they made sure I had cover which would insure if a flood occurred. Which I found easier and less pressure as the sellers were contacting me directly who were very pushy but it was out of my hands as Rowlinsons were strong to say the buyer (me) needs more time to think it through.

They were very easy to get hold of by email and were always updating me with the progress.

I cant thank them both enough with their time and work they did for me and have never had a solicitor who would overturn every stone (or that is what it felt like) to buy a property.

I have recommended both Cerys Terry & Alicia Sheath to several people buying homes and will use them both again if I was to sell or buy.

I'm hugely disappointed with their service. The communication since the beginning was very minimal. I' chasing for details every week and I receive the same answer "bear with me" type for weeks now. I completely don't know where I stand, and now I am most likely about to lose the purchase opportunity as the vendor's solicitors also don't know anymore why everything is taking so long, and the vendor is about to pull out as she can't afford to pay the mortgage on an empty flat.....Please spend time finding the right solicitor. I've been completely blinded

They act for EDF; part of the conveyance I feel they have missed something significant. I have asked simple questions further down the line. When asked to act - I was given an estimated price of £750 by Charlotte which is completely disgusting for the three hours work at £250per hour. I had given them the exact sentences from the existing conveyances. Cannot recommend, value for money is shocking but so is integrity for existing clients. I can only guess how much they overcharge my company. I showed this to colleagues whilst in Paris against two other quotes from other solicitors in Somerset which provided fixed prices for the work and costed under 1/3rd of what was quoted by Rowlinsons (who did the conveyance). Up until this point I knew they were expensive, but overall thought they were ok. Not the best conveyancing I’ve had compared to Ratcliff and bibby in Lancaster and Glanvilles in fareham - on reflection I think they should have identified it in the first place conveying. Further more they kept me waiting for months for availability to do this work when I could have instructed the Somerset solicitors sooner and for less. I hope EDF read it, I’ll certainly be forwarding this link to the recruiting, graebel interface, and resettlement team tomorrow. 1/5 on value, integrity, and supporting clients who have already paid thousands. Update to reply dated 10th stating they had tried to contact me and I was unresponsive: the last email dated 08th at 08:36 ends “We are sorry that we are unable to assist you in this matter and we wish you the best for the future.”. This review stands for me as fair and there was no further communication after 8th and frankly at approx 3times the price of others - I have no intention to use Rowlinsons again and disgusted by the response. Update 2 (to the edited response) - The reason I did not instruct others was I genuinely thought they would want to ensure their existing work was quality (e.g. getting it right first time) and support an existing client. The response shows a lack of professionalism trying to discredit someone’s experience by use of word-play. So looking at the word play which I agree 1hour would cost the same £250 per hour; this however is a variable rate where others were fixed at £200-£250. Rowlinson email states “we do not anticipate the work taking longer than 3 hours and therefore our fee would be around £750 plus VAT”.. plus any expenses.. - the irony here is that the other firms even recommended contacting Rowlinsons (as they conveyed this originally) and must have mistakenly assumed you’d want to fix this with some integrity. Unbelievable experience AVOID at all costs!

5* Victoria Hands is not only an exemplary professional, but is also personable, helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I will genuinely miss our daily/weekly catch-ups!

We were dreading the buying and selling process, with us both having never done it before and only had difficult conveyancing experience in the past with just buying or selling alone, so we weren’t excited about the prospect of a chain. We were also under huge pressure to get into the parish for school applications, so we were stressed about timescales and efficiency of the process.

Victoria rang to introduce herself, how we would work and the process and it just got better from there.

We set our timescale expectation at the start, and she never lost sight of that – efficiently getting us through the enquiries, paperwork and keeping us continually updated all the way through. Her efficiency was so great we would have finished the process in just 9 weeks start to finish if it weren’t for others in the party. Never the less, she still managed to get us in a week ahead of schedule – and to complete in 11 weeks from start to finish is amazing for us!

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Victoria at Rowlinsons, and she will be who we go back to if ever we want to move in the future!

She is amazing and sign posts me all the way through, i'm a little impatient but she deals with me so well and is a dream!!

We dealt with Laura Regan (Family & Residential Property Assistant), Lauren Power (Solicitor) and Sophie Ost (Trainee Solicitor) from Rowlinsons during our first time home purchase last year. We had a few bumps in the road and the process took a while (waiting on seller documents and backlogs with coronavirus - we'd put our offer in in May so right in the middle of everything!) but Rowlisons were great at keeping us in the loop and answering my many, many questions! :) Thank you all for always being pleasant to deal with.
