Do NOT purchase furniture from this…

Do NOT purchase furniture from this company. They called 2 hours after our 3-hour delivery window and said they were still 30 minutes out. We sat around all day waiting for a 11-2pm delivery that showed up after 4pm. When the guys did show up they hung out in the truck for a while before coming up to the house and the first thing that asked to do was use our restroom. Corporate office offered / refunded $50 of a $300 delivery fee for our time.

I spent over $10k on new furniture

I spent over $10k on new furniture, including a sectional couch for my dogs. I was told that the cushion covers were removable and that they were water-proof, but they recommended we purchase the insurance because they would assist even if there was damage made by my dogs. It wasn't a cheap couch, but I felt it was a good product for the money we spent. Fast forward, the first time I go to wash the covers - they don't come off! What she showed me was the back cushions zipping off, but apparently none of them actually come off the cushions. I called to complain to the manager, and because the young lady who told us no longer worked there and couldn't "defend herself", he said there was nothing he could do. Fast forward again, and I file a claim because one of my dogs had a UTI and peed multiple times on the couch, and we could not get the smell out. She specifically gave this as an example of something that they would replace if they couldn't get the smell out. Nope. A scam the whole way around just to get a sale. Do NOT shop there. If you do, don't believe anything they say - verify for yourself.

The other part of this was that I had ordered a custom settee and had to refuse delivery of it because the delivery guys did so much damage to my house and the couch when they tried to deliver it. Unbelievably bad experience all the way around.

Customer care issues

Royal has some nice furniture, but it took over a year to receive one small chair side table that I needed to complete my living room furniture set I purchased from them. The year really wasn’t even the issue, I was understanding of the back orders due to Covid. The issue was the misinformation I was given every time I inquired about when I would be receiving it. Royal never was proactive on the situation. I always had to keep calling to get updates and the updates that were given were always wrong. I honestly think the table had probably been received in sooner but was sold to or given to someone else. I think I was out of sight out of mind for them. I fInally got my chair side table a year after initial purchase. Now I’m in the market to purchase some bedroom furniture but my husband is adamant I not order it from Royal due to the issue and lack of customer service /care we received with our other purchase.
