Faultless
Faultless .. Ordered on Saturday evening, arrived by 9am Monday.
Such a beautiful bag, perfect for my forthcoming holiday, a big shout out to DPD too, super smooth delivery.
Just unacceptable customer service!
Bought a £245 pair mens shoes in Canary Wharf as we had 30 mins to kill before a dinner/ show reservation. My husband tried on 1 of what he was told was a size 9 pair and whilst he paid were kept in conversation by the 2 retail assistants. ( whilst being served we did see the lady who served on the floor show the shoes to other assistant who looked and said “it’s fine” , whilst we individually thought it was odd, we didn’t even talk about that moment until today!
We took shoes out of the box and had been given (I will now say deliberately) a size 9 and an 8.5! Why would you do that any customer???? They clearly knew what was going on and there is someone else probably out there whom had same done to them maybe and this was their way of clearing the stock???
We have thousands of pounds of R&B shoes in our shoe collection and customer service pre pandemic has been top notch but this is disgraceful. I’ve called the store and told them we don’t have 3 hours to travel there and back to get a refund and I need them to call back tomorrow with a resolution.
Disgraceful! I would avoid shopping with them, it’s unacceptable customer service!
UPDATE after calling to complain Sunday, refusing to go back a store that is nowhere near us, we had a call back the following day saying they will send courier for shoes and give us £50 voucher but HQ needs to deal with it. Great, but it took 2days for that call, they tried swerving the voucher offer but we managed to get it sent through, will we spend it with them, I’m not so sure.
Very poor quality
Very poor quality. Boots purchased in December, worth €350 and sole is split in just two months. Needless to say I haven’t even worn them much.
Beware of poor quality control.
I've had a few R&B shoes over the years, generally fine. However, the last pair of boots I bought gave me a terrible callus which got badly infected and contributed to a permanent leg injury. Looking inside the boots there is a bump in in the sole where I had the injury. Poorly made, and poor quality control.
Faulty boots, poor customer service
Bought some boots, supposedly reduced from £425 to £95.
Arrived and the quality was poor, wobbly, wonky stitching which meant there were places the lining and outer part of the boots were not attached at the top.
Returned but despite the items being faulty, my postage costs of £5 are not being refunded. Customer services has not replied to me.
So, I do not recommend and will not be returning.
Love this shop in Chester
Love this shop in Chester. Assistant really helpful and honest about what suited me. Didn’t just try and sell me a shoe. Loved my purchase and it is my go to shop for high quality shoes. Even got a discount with my loyalty card. Well worth getting the card as it mounts up over the year.
Russell Bromley Liverpool
Russell Bromley Liverpool, Manager & Staff, after my wife had chemotherapy she went to buy a pair of shoes and the staff & manager were absolutely amazing to her. Thank you for your kindness and being amazing to her! We really appreciate it! You're an absolute credit to Liverpool. Thank You
Great Customer service
Somehow managed to input the wrong address in when ordering my boots. 1 email to customer service and the shoes arrived at my correct address the next day. Not worn the boots much so can't comment on the quality - very happy with the service.
DO NOT purchase from R&B!!!!
DO NOT purchase any goods from this retailer. I have been a loyal customer for several years but I think the quality of their products has decreased recently. Back in October 2022 I purchased a pair of shoes for almost £300 they were defective and I was offered store credit. I got the store credit and purchased another pair of shoes. This second pair was extremely uncomfortable I only experienced this problem after about 45 minutes of wearing the shoes. I was in such horrible pain I got cramps on my calf, got horrible blisters and my feet even bled, this was after wearing the shoes for 45 minutes! R and B refuse to give me a refund and want to blame this on my individual fit. However, I know the law protects me regardless f what they may say, the shoes are "not fit for purpose". Moreover, the inspection for defects is done in-house, this is a conflict of interest. I am fighting this through my CC and the ombudsmen. I am so sickened by their customer service.
Worrying signs
I’m a long term customer who thinks they actually make good shoes but appalling service on recent repair. Left shoes in early November having been told they’d take a month. Still don’t have them in mid Jan and despite multiple requests and complaints no one can give me any information. Worrying as kind of situation where company goes bust and you never see your product again. Fingers crossed but avoid for now
Poor quality
I recently has to return a pair of trainers after a couple of hours wear. The leather looked awful more like they had 6 months of very frequent wear. Anyhow I got a refund from a very condescending store manager who basically gave me the whole goodwill gesture spiel and saying the shoes were fine and this was normal, totally insulting my intelligence in the process.
It's the last time I give then my business.
Do not buy the Flawless shoe
Do not buy the Flawless shoe! What an ironic name ! One wear and it is far from flawless! In fact we couldn’t even purchase a pair without marks! Nearly three hundred pounds for imperfect shoes and only purchased as they were perfect for my daughter who was maid of honour at her sisters wedding ! After the day they are completely ruined abd she wasn’t outdoor trekking in them! What a waste of money, totally overpriced tat! Primark would have served better!
Overpriced, shoddy workmanship.
Shoddy workmanship.
Less than 2 years ago a friend bought me some leather R&B ankle boots for about £250. I have rarely worn them yet, very recently, the heel fell off one of the boots (during a memorial service). I emailed customer service, and they are not interested because I don't have a receipt. My friend doesn't have it either and I'm not going to ask her to go through her credit card receipts.
60% of the reviews for R&B are 1 star. That's pretty dreadful for a brand that prides itself on great quality. On average, only 10% of customers make complaints about products. There are lots of disappointed R&B customers out there....
I have a pair of suede ankle boots from Jones the Boot Maker. They were £80. I wear them everyday and have done for three years. They have never broken. Look at Jones Bootmaker trust pilot scores and you will see 73% are 5 star reviews. So you know where to buy your shoes....
Thanks for your great customer care R&B! Perhaps its unreasonable to expect your customers to hold on to a receipt for the lifetime of a "high quality" product, or even for 2 years for a shoddy product...
I purchased some Gold trainers in the…
I purchased some Gold trainers in the summer sale . They were beautiful but sadly gave me blisters . I phone customer services at Russell and Bromley they apologised I’d not been happy with my purchase , sent me a returns label , and have just offered me a full refund or a voucher .
I’d worn them twice , so wasn’t expecting this . I think they are excellent .
I have a pair of Russell Bromley shoes
I have a pair of Russell Bromley shoes. You can feel everything you walk on with the sole. As anyone else found this with shoes which have heels.
I have just paid £395 for the ATOM boot…
I have just paid £395 for the ATOM boot which I have worn around the house for a couple of hours to check for comfort. I now have two indentations on my shins where the hard leather has cut into me. How much does one have to pay for a comfortable boot? These are not even long boots. Fortunately I hope to be able to return them which I would not have been able to do had I immediately worn them outside. Russell and Bromley has always been expensive and if people are going to continue charging these prices they need to improve the quality.
scamtastic?!
I just bought the chelsea boot 'Company'. The boots are lovely and fit fine. The delivery was super-prompt. The staff in the shop were brilliant. However, my shopping experience was difficult. Here's why:
1. I had intended to buy the boots online but the website was super-glitchy and I had to go in to the shop to buy the boots. One minute the delivery price was £5.00, the next it had changed to £10.00. Furthermore, it wouldn't let me get to the checkout page. In the shop, the staff also found the website glitchy and had to order the boots in via a different method.
2. The boots are priced at £245.00. This price was the same on the website and in the shop. But when the boots arrived I noted a sticker price on the bottom of the boots said £225.00! So now I am suspicious of this company, who are always very expensive. Is this some kind of scam?
BAD QUALITY
bought the driver shoes in blue and orange £ 195 each , just after 3 or 4 wear the leather starts to peal , bad quality , very bad quality .
According to The Manager at White city , you should not walk in driving shoes from Russel and B just wear them when you drive lol , quite funny solution to a concern , I have driving shoes from Gucci as well as Zara and they perfect after regular wear so cnt really understand they bad quality for the price paid
Wake up to buy shoes
Wake up to buy shoes - change heels immediately. Mine broke within a week.
Poor customer service! dont care attitude!!
Unfortunately after ten years of committed loyalty as consumers to russell and bromley from Kent oxford exeter establishments me and my husband have had the last day and have decided to move with the times and shop at elizabeth ann and mayfair, the day in question started on the 09/09/2022 one week before my partners mother passed away with a short term illness and decided to take our minds away from the negativity and purchase a pair of boots on the day we both entered the shop in exeter and on seeing five customers but no staff anywhere downstairs and speaking to two customers one elderly lady mentioned she has been waiting for ten minutes on advice regarding a leather shoulder bag and spoke to a young camp dressed suited man who poked his head from a staff room fixing and shuffling his tye said he will be back in a minute he has to do some security checks to no avail! me and my husband looked bewildered and waited another five minutes going back and forth to find no staff in the end my partner decided to mount the stairs and find help! upstairs on his arrival he was met with two ladies walking from a back staff open door talking loudly and giggling one blonde middle aged lady who said morning and a short stout brunette lady who gave a confused look with a facial expression as to say what are you doing up here! we now believe supervisor/manager after he explained there's five customers downstairs including my wife wanting some advice and help they mentioned they have been stock taking and spot check cleaning and in there words was on there way to deal with the customers! My partner didnt except this poor answer and we didnt purchase the items we looked at originally and left immediately we are now taking our buisness elsewhere!
Not happy customers!😕
