Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 29 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people expressed significant dissatisfaction with payment issues, frequently reporting delays, non-payment, and difficulties in receiving their earned compensation. Customers also found it nearly impossible to contact the company, with unresponsive project managers and support systems that directed them to non-reply emails or support tickets. Reviewers also consistently highlighted poor management practices, noting that employees often felt undervalued and could be removed without warning. The lack of clear communication regarding contract duration and extensions further contributed to a negative service experience for many.

BEWARE

Private individuals, freelancers, and all please beware. I signed up on their platform over a year ago never receiving a single project. Then in September they contacted me wanting me to do an assessment and I did it on the spot right then and there.
A very well-known tech company gave them a lot of work for workers. I started in September and worked for over two months and I've never been paid. I reach out to their customer support and they never answer. If you look at the RWS subreddit you will see that there is an entire thread dedicated to this.
The thing is the projects were cool, creative and enjoyable. I was also made to be a reviewer because the work I submitted was high quality. But that all went downhill when you work for weeks at 40 hours per week and more and never getting paid. This is the truth and it's despicable that companies do this to workers that put their heart and soul into this type of work there's never an excuse for it, it doesn't matter how many workers that you have. It's unacceptable. No one and I mean no one should ever fall through the cracks let alone hundreds of people never getting a single payment for this long.

Report of Fraudulent Activity Involving Individual Maximilian Christian Lundberg

Just wanted to post a warning. I had a pretty serious situation involving an individual named Maximilian Christian Lundberg, who claims to own this company. He has been in contact with me regarding a potential job position, for which I was hired for a test. However, after completing the agreed-upon tasks, he just refused to pay the promised compensation and has now blocked all communication channels, making it impossible for me to reach him.

Given the seriousness of this matter, I wanted to contact your company directly to verify whether this person is indeed affiliated with you, and to alert you in case your company’s name and reputation are being used fraudulently.

Please let me know if there is someone I can speak to regarding this situation, or if I should forward you the correspondence and evidence I have.

Looking forward for some sort of clarification!

RWS is a scam

This is a scam. Do not waste your time with RWS. They will send all types of emails to lure you in to take assessments that you will not get paid to do. After you complete the task, they send an email stating the job has been eliminated. I completely blocked them from my email and reported as spam. I advise others to do the same.

SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERT: Do not work with this company. They approve you for a project, collect the completed tasks, and then unapprove your account before payment. It's a waste of time.

Perhaps caution with RWS is required

I haven't yet had an experience. Based on the reviews I have read on Trustpilot, I think I will go no further. I am taking exams now and have more to pass as well as guidelines to read. All without pay. I will take the advice of those who have submitted their reviews and look elsewhere for this position. BTW When applying, the pay was listed at 15 dollars/hour. However, their website states that payment is based on the task completed and that the price will be given with the task.>> I didn't like that! You never know what you are being paid.

They will lead you on

They will lead you on with unpaid onboarding. Even with passing all onboarding training and quizzes with 100% accuracy, and emails of encouragement to take the next steps, they will promise the entry exam to the job and then dump your application without reason. I asked if it were a mistake, that I was promised the job exam after training, that I met all the qualifications, so why is there a barrier to entry? Support was extremely rude and told me essentially they don't have an answer or need to give me one either. Do not waste your time with this company. They stole hours of my life away from me, opportunity, mislead/mismanaged without any regret, and were very demeaning to me as a person.

Zero respect

I’ve finally been removed for inactivity after months of having little to no work, all while dealing with ridiculous working hours—considering I’m based in Europe and prefer to sleep at night. Management openly encourages workers to refresh the working tool "multiple times a day," preferably during PST hours, which translates to evenings or nights for those of us in Europe.

They blatantly disregard workers' rights and respond with sarcasm when you point out how unfair these expectations are, often using the threat of project removal to silence concerns. The pay is also among the lowest in the industry, and many people frequently complain about delayed payments.

They want you to work for free!

They asked me to take a test to see if I qualified for them to then send me work (wasn’t paid for doing 23 tasks for the qualification)… have concluded they ask the thousands of people that apply and don’t pay anyone, but get their job done for their client (without paying anyone to do it) - I’d avoid this company going forward and recommend the same for others!

SCAM???

Passed qualification exams with very good scores and was entered on Workzone on 27th August. So far I have received NO work or invites to work and no contact from RWS in 15 weeks!
Pathetic way to treat people.

This job has significant downsides that outweigh its advertised flexibility:

Excessive Testing Requirements: The process to enter the evaluator pool is unnecessarily complex and time-consuming. Multiple tests and hours spent on instructions, paid at only €7/hour (below Germany's minimum wage), feel exploitative, especially with the €10 minimum payment barrier that creates an unfair hurdle.

Broken Promises: Despite passing tests and fulfilling requirements, I was denied access to the projects I was promised. The lack of transparency and failure to deliver on their commitments make the experience incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.

Non-Responsive Customer Support: Attempts to seek help or clarification went unanswered. Their unresponsive customer service leaves workers feeling unsupported and undervalued.

No Work Opportunities: After all the effort, I found myself with no active projects on the platform. Meanwhile, the company continues to post job openings, requiring individuals to create new accounts just to access opportunities, which feels like a deliberate attempt to sideline existing workers.

Deceptive Practices: The company's approach suggests a lack of integrity—prioritizing onboarding new users over supporting existing ones. This makes it hard to trust their platform or the value of the work they offer.

Overall, this job feels more like a waste of time and effort than a viable remote work opportunity.

Experience 2024 from February to June

If you do not need additional workers for your project,
just ignore our pending applications in the queue list until you are sure you really need it.
Don't invite and process us, without thinking about the repercussions. Because it's a matter of our precious time.

You invite us to follow a stack of qualification processes, including:
Pre-qualification, learning, courses and quizzes, which you present to us, until the final exam.
Finally, after we passed the exams at all the stages you presented, you dismissed us as if you were sinless and did not remember karma.
By providing excuses that are not compelling and professionally vague, in the form of bot answers, email templates.

You have indirectly deprived us of our precious time arbitrarily, without providing commensurate compensation.
And that will have an impact on the poor quality of the management team in your company.

Please check the quality of your management team, whether they have the quality of human values or not.

We hope that the government will immediately take action and ban this company in Indonesia,
because it has gone beyond the limit and has claimed many victims.

RWS's training and on-boarding is…

RWS's training and on-boarding is lacking severely.

There is a three part exam which must be passed in order to have an opportunity with this company in regards to Search Engine Results Evaluator.

I took the first two parts and passed, however the third part never became available in their "portal".

The only way to communicate is via email with a training or support email which the recipients apparently do not understand English very well.

I submitted a support request about the third part not appearing in portal after receiving an email stating I passed parts 1 and 2.

Instead of receiving a response from that support ticket, I received an email saying I failed the exam.

I replied to that email reminding them of the fact I never had an opportunity to take part 3.

After getting no "assistance" or legitimate response from them, I get an email saying I can take my 2nd and final attempt at part 3 of the exam, W.T.F, I didn't even get to do it a first time.

If you are thinking about trying to work for these folks, don't, it is an absolute waste of time, and personally I hope their business goes under. If they hire and treat potential employees the way I have experienced, then the quality they provide to customers must be horrible.
