Ive been hunting for days

Ive been hunting for days, Europe wide, for the right snowboard, in the right size, watching a million different reviews online, only to come across S2AS in UK and some of their in depth reviews.

So glad I took S2AS sports advice…

So glad I took S2AS sports advice before purchasing an Ocean Rodeo 10m Razor kite from them. Having read a few industry reviews I had some reservations that the kite wouldn’t suit me as an intermediate level kiter. Having now thoroughly tested the kite out in wind strengths from 20 - 30 knots I can report it’s a great kite. It sits towards the front of the wind window and drives you upwind effortlessly. The kite responds well to bar input and handles stronger gusts of wind with ease. It depowers quickly and also delivers power smoothly if required. Should you wish to get airborne it has plenty of lift when you get your timing right. Altogether a well made and designed kite that I’ve really enjoyed flying. Thanks S2AS for your advice and great service.

I ordered Volcom hoody

I ordered Volcom hoody, I received a call to confirm my order and given an idea on delivery. Team was great and item arrived as stated. I don’t usually write reviews but before I ordered I had read the reviews on trust pilot and I thought I would give the company the benefit of doubt. I am really happy I did this as product was at great price and great service from the team.

I paid 400,-€ and got nothing!

the board was shipped with DPD. DPD sent a link for customs clearance but this link was not usable...can happen. The package was sent back to the shop, but they simply stopped responding to my emails and didn't think it was necessary to react when I pointed out that the link didn't work and that they should please contact the sender. Bottom line: I paid 400,-€ and got nothing!

Very bad service. Since Brexit, trade between the EU and the UK is really bad, but when the dealer doesn't even respond to emails, it's no fun at all.

Hi Romy,

We agree that Brexit has not made things easier for us or any UK exporting business be honest. But we only ever had a few issues with other European customers with their customs or not receiving their items. We shipped hundreds of items from the UK to Germany and beyond with a great success rate.
Please understand that the moment we ship the ordered item we have no control over the handling of the courier, other than by email or phone with them, if delivery issues arise.
Unfortunately, we do not have control over customs and import issues in your destination country. ( as stated on our website)

According to your tracking from DPD, it was held at your local delivery depot in Germany, waiting for the "importer" customs clearance on Thursday 21st of September at 8:05 am.
You contacted us via email that afternoon at 14.37 pm for a new payment pin link from DPD.
The parcel tracking was updated on Friday 22nd of September at 12:00 that it is being returned to sender ( S2AS)

DPD ( or any courier) does not do that without any reason.
They'll normally hold your parcel for about 3 weeks. If you have not paid the bill by then, your parcel will be returned to the sender.
We have replied to all your emails and have tried our best with DPD to NOT get the wakeboard sent back to us but it was already in transit, the next day before we even had the chance to help you.

We can only apologise for the inconvenience and explain what really happened. The complete order has been refunded to your request

PHONE THEM TO CHECK STOCK BEFORE ORDERING

Ordered sunglasses after checking around for best price, placed order, called me day after to say out of stock.

Was offered another pair similar but a bit better, which I was going to go for, but they wanted me to pay the extra £30. So still getting a sale from me was most important to them, wasting my time doesn't matter.

Edit - The sunglasses offered to me were £100 more if not on sale that is true, but they were on sale and with discount code were £32 more than what my original purchase was. So it wasn't a special discount for me.

Sorry you felt we waisted your time, Sometimes items do sell out fast especially a sale item like you purchased. we offered you a new 2023 Oakley pair that were £100 more than you paid (£90) the Oakley Turbine Prizm Polarised were the same model just much better lenses and we offered it at a reduced rate of £30 extra for the error. The reason for this offer was NOT to get a sale (we would have not made any profit at that price) it was more a offer of goodwill as the original product had sold out. I understand you did not accept that offer I’m sorry for this. Thanks for the review all are welcome good or bad.

Dealt with these guys twice now and…

Dealt with these guys twice now and both times communication and attitude has been super friendly, knowledgable and bent over backwards to help. Both snowboard and second order of bindings arrived next day in perfect condition and they sounded really excited for my upcoming trip. Definitely a recommend. Their prices were also the lowest advertised - get in and order from them. Matthew.

Amazing customer service in this…

Amazing cutomer service in this day and age is rare thing, A big shout out to Angelo who could not have been more helpful with my purchase as he gave me advice on the best board to choose for my level and budget. Absolutely delighted with my wakesurf board and I will be a loyal customer for life with customer service like this.

Good customer service

Placed an order but forgot to add a couple of items, the guys were fast to respond and make sure they add the items in the same delivery batch, even substituted a couple of items that were about to arrive later, which was crucial for me since I was tight with the dates for my vacation.

Everything was good except for the fact that I didn't receive my ski goggles, i wasn't able to open the parcel the same day of the delivery since I was not home. When i opened it, the goggles were missing, not sure where they got lost, but I ended up losing around 120 pounds.

Service Couldn't Be Better

Our sons have recently got into wakeboarding so decided to get their own kit. Much of it came from S2AS.

All the kit we ordered came quicker than expected, was well packaged and all was fine - except one of the 2 wakeboards we ordered didn't arrive.

We had a call from Angelo to let us know the board was stuck in customs but should be with us in 3 to 5 days - but if that was too long they could offer an alternative for next day delivery. Excellent - but we decided to wait for the board we ordered.

A couple of days later Angelo called again and left a message to say he was very sorry but the board wouldn't make it through customs for whatever reason - it was great that he called us to let us know what was going on rather than the other way around. He e-mailed with suggestions for alternative boards.

We looked at the alternatives and discussed some options with S2AS - the guys at S2AS really do know their stuff and are a pleasure to deal with.

In the end, we settled on a board that was probably better than the one we ordered originally at a slightly lower pice in their sale. The board arrived less than 24 hours later and our son is thrilled with it and the difference between what we ordered and what we ended up with was refunded the same day.

Altogether - a great company to deal with. It's always how a company reacts when something doesn't go right that really tells you what sort of company they are. In this case, S2AS couldn't have done any better - outstanding.

Shout out to Angelo and Glenn - awesome service and help and expert advice - thanks again.

Swift service and good prices

Never heard of this website before but due to their outstanding score and number of reviews on Trustpilot I've pulled the trigger. I've bought a pair of ThirtyTwo Spring Bib Pants and the postage and delivery was prompt and well received. Very happy with my purchase and will keep an eye out for more deals from them.

I ordered a pair of Flow bindings

I ordered a pair of Flow bindings and 32 boots for my snowboard trip happening in two weeks. I ordered the wrong size bindings, I needed XL not L. Totally my fault, I messed up. There was a problem with the boots not being in stock, they sent me an email to automatically refund the amount, they even called me to let me know.
I called the team to swap the bindings, they had a similar pair, just £20 more expensive, I returned the bindings easily and when I called the shop, they couldn't be more helpful. they were busy in the shop due to the majority of them being at the boat show. I left a voicemail-they called me straight back.
the bindings were with the courier before I even finalised the extra fee!
I got my bindings today, really pleased, well in time for my trip to the slopes.

You can tell these guys really care about their customers. super friendly on the phone and go above and beyond.
This is now my go-to shop for snow, wake and kitesurfing gear.

Poor service

I bought some waterskis after getting good advise on the telephone and explaining that I was on holiday and needed them immediately.

A day later, after taking my money, they told me that they were out of stock… not just in this waterski, but in ALL in this category. They admitted they knew this all along. They have refunded me - all well and good - but I’ve lost the opportunity of purchasing elsewhere now, as no time left on my holiday.

A business being casual and reckless with their customers time. There are many alternative providers of what they offer, on the basis of my experience I’d recommend finding one of them.

Hi Ben,

Firstly, am pleased our team were able to help advise appropriately for your purchase.

Secondly, we take our customers time and holidays very seriously. You placed the order for Next Day delivery at 2:31pm, it clearly states on our website that the cutoff for Next Day delivery is 2pm as this is the collection time from our couriers, so based on your review the ski's would have arrived too late for your holiday even if we had them available.

As soon as my colleague Glenn saw your order, the next morning after you'd placed the order, he contacted you via email and phone, to let you know that we were unable to complete this order on Next Day delivery as we would have to order the Combo Skis direct from the UK distributor and could not guarantee Next Day on this as it was not coming from ourselves.

With regards to not having any alternatives available, this is the busiest year for towed sports (wakeboard, waterski, etc.) and right in the middle of the season, we are constantly re-stocking and re-supplying our store and sometimes we might have periods where certain items are unavailable, however we are still striving to get all orders to customers as soon as possible and keep them informed at all times.

Furthermore, if you had allowed Glenn to speak on the phone yesterday you would have learned all of this information, rather than blaming us for ruining your holiday.


So to sum up, S2AS gave good advice on the phone, helping you select a product that you wanted, then contacted you the same morning that your order would have shipped out making you aware of the delay, offered to order the item direct from our supplier or allowing you ample time to order from another retailer on Next Day if you wished.

I personally do not see this as being "causal and reckless" but effective and timely service in an unfortaunte situation where we did not have an item in stock!

BEST KITE SHOP UK

It's been a great experience ordering my first kite set-up from Glenn and the guys at S2AS. Very helpful and could always answer (within a minute) all of my questions on chat, phone and email. I will most def keep order my kite-gear from S2AS. Even got my 10% back after i missed put the code on their website for first time purchase, awesome /happy kiter.
