They have no system in place if one of…

They have no system in place if one of there case handlers leaves, go on on holiday to redirect emails.
Delays with the excuse they have been too busy have made it take ages to go through the accreditation process even though they want your money six months in advance. I will find another company next year

While we do have systems and processes in place to ensure continuity of service, on this occasion a human error meant that the assessor assigned to your account did not correctly set an out‑of‑office redirect. We fully appreciate that this resulted in an avoidable delay, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this caused.

Our wider team remains available at all times via phone, webchat and email, and we’re always keen to help where urgency is identified. That said, we understand that this experience did not meet the standard of service we aim to deliver, and we are reviewing this internally to prevent a recurrence.

In respect of invoicing, we appreciate how this may feel. However, we issue renewal invoices and notifications approximately three months in advance of expiry to give customers sufficient notice and time to plan for this business cost.

We’re sorry to hear that this experience has led you to consider an alternative provider. Before it reaches that point, we’d really welcome the opportunity to speak with you, better understand your concerns, and see if we can help put things right. Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Mis-sold the service. Was talked into paying for a premium service which would take 2 days. Been a week already and nothing. Complained only to be basically told tough, and because it's a business to business transaction I can't cancel or be refunded even though they have not delivered the service as sold. Awful company and awful service. The only contact I have had with them without having to call them is to try and sell me additional services.

New to Safe Contractor

An important Customer for Opal Contracts (UK) Ltd requires Safe Contractor. The sheer number of accreditations needs by SMSs seems excessive so I was not looking forward to being audited by yet another company. However from beginning to end, Jon Brown, Adie Fletcher and Ben Groves were knowledgeable, speedy, easy to understand, and listened carefully to what I needed. All in all a simple process. Thank you

I was a young man when i started this, i am now an old man with grey hair and its only year 1.

At every step the whole process was made difficult, like on everything they rejected and asked questions and made the whole process longer than it should have been. A great example is that they wanted me to supply evidence of a tool box talk and supplied me with a template to use. I used their own template but changed the details to my company's name and filled it out correctly. They rejcted this as they said it was not a correct example of a toolbox talk!! It was their own template that they asked me to use and they rejected thier own template. Its only when i went back and told them it was their own template why is it not suitable they then accepted it.

The whole process and journey was really teidious and long winded, that it is ALWAYS a pain to complete this. IT should be really simple and quick for companies to do but it aint.

Just prepare yourself that you will be spending alot of time on this and guarrentee it will be a slog.

EDIT: Responding back to thew reply, it was long as the process is long, information needed is tedious, longwinded and this happens year after year. I have done this for another company too and each year it gets worse. Hopefully you can make it easiser and smooth but based on my previous years of experience I wont hold my breath. For anyone going for this process make the time (lots of it) allocated to this process, which will take a while as they will question and reject everything, even their own templates they recommend you to use!.

Best of luck to anyone that decides to go on this journey....you will need it and more.
