Absolutely first class and very professional service, from start to finish for our move to Muswell Hill on the 16th of June. The staff were experts, friendly and efficient, and handled delicate furniture with great care. I will certainly be using them again and would recommend them very highly.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! They sound really trusting and fair on the phone yet in real life Sebastian is probably one of the most horrible people I have ever had the misfortune of meeting.
Given a two hour time slot and they arrive 5 minutes after that. In spite of me telling them what furniture etc I have he seems totally irritated with me upon arrival saying that he needs another man and I have not been accurate with my description. With previous experience of removals they come and look at the stuff you have ahead of the move so they can assess but obviously this was not done. He decides I need another man to help, I agree as am keen to get the move done as quickly as possible. He storms through my flat like a dictator getting ruder and ruder as the day goes on. I have paid upfront and given him all the cash I have on me for the extra man but still owe him £25 more. He refuses to take some stuff as its not been wrapped (a few baskets of food/booze, some paintings etc). Im pretty chilled about my stuff having moved numerous times and have carefully packed anything of importance/value. As hes kicked up such a fuss I say I will get an Uber with anything hes worried about breaking so as not to stress him. Just as we are about to leave he says hes not going anywhere until I get the extra money. I have an uber XL waiting for me and I need to collect the keys for the new place en route so I have to beg him to go and assure him I can get the cash on the way. (Bear in mind he has a van full of my whole worldly goods so Im not exactly going to disappear!)
he then refuses to even look at me and when we arrive at the other end the £50 extra I got out isnt enough, he hasnt told me that you cant pay per half an hour for 3 men, only for two. I apologise and ask my friend to go to the cashpoint for me. At this point Sebastian is looking like I have killed his firstborn and the uncomfortable feeling only gets worse. I ask him why he is being so rude and he tells me that I shouldve gotten him the money immediately...
Finally the job is finished and this vile man leaves. Do not use them, they will stress you out and make you feel criminal for using the service they are meant to be providing.
One note is that although the head guy was horrid, his two helpers were lovely and very diligent. I feel sorry for them working with him!

I found these removal men incredibly slow - only carrying one small item at a time, which I could have done myself. They demanded two hours' money up front, which I have never encountered before - surely with all your belongings in their possession, it is you who needs reassurance, not them? They failed to call and let me know their ETA in advance when I had only been given a 2 hour arrival window. They seemed to deliberately slow down when the time was almost up so that they could charge for another half hour after only going over by about 5 minutes. Their supervisor didn't seem to be doing anything useful and did not keep an eye on the van when the other helpers were in the house - leaving it unattended on the road with the shutters wide open at the back. They were also not cheap.

Safevans moved my office from south east to west London. They arrived at the time agreed, loaded and unloaded furniture, computers, pictures and files without any damages, were polite, respectful and positive. This was during the Southern rail train strikes and I was worried about traffic delays. Seb reassured me and on the day there were no problems.

The two guys worked extremely hard, were patient and helpful at both ends of the move, and handled all the material carefully. We could not possibly have done the move without their help.

I have used this company three times now, the first 2 times for small moves in my local area and then for a final long haul move,
As their vehicles have trackers, Sebastian kept me fully informed re the Vans progress and was able to let me know to within 30 mins as to when they would be arriving at my new address,
The driver and his assistant worked very quickly and all my belongings were safely transported; they worked so quickly I only had to pay for an extra 30 mins of time,
I have found this firm to be extremely trustworthy and reliable. This company deserves to succeed; Thank you SafeVan for helping to take the stress out of my move.

I recently used Safevans for a move. The move was for a small amount of antique furniture, books, plates, glasses, usual household stuff. I booked in several weeks before the move date, and queried Sebastian as to their experience of moving antiques. He said they had plenty of experience, he described the processes, and said his people were properly trained.. The move was for 9am, to finish about 12, and transport to an out-of-town storage unit by 2pm. I subsequently rang Sebastian and told him that there were some extra items for the move, and he said no problem.

Come 9am no one had arrived. Many phone calls later they eventually arrived at 11. They were completely untrained and had no idea what they were doing. They arrived with bubble wrap but with no wrapping paper. A ,load of wrapping paper eventually arrived, but they did not use it as they did not know how. They had no tools to cut the bubble wrap and were simply tearing it. They were unbelievably slow, but the Safevans charging structure is £ per hour so perhaps they did not see this as a problem. They ran out of bubble wrap so I had to go and buy some more at a cost of £50. They did not know how to assemble the cardboard boxes for carrying things like books and plates. I was faced with constant demands for cash up front before they would move on to the next stage. I live in an area with restricted parking. They had failed to contact the council to arrange the necessary parking permit, with the result that they got a ticket.

Having arrived at 11am, they did not finish til 6pm. This meant it was too late to transport to the storage unit.. We therefore arranged that they would come at 430am the following day. They duly turned up on time to load the van, and demanded cash up front so that they could pay the parking ticket. As the goods were loaded into the storage unit the badly secured bubble wrap was falling off, and the badly assembled boxes were falling apart. The move should have taken a few hours, and cost perhaps £500. It ended up costing me about £1200, enormous stress, and probable damage to goods. Unquestionably the worst removals experience I have ever had.

I was really impressed how smooth and quick it went. Moving house is a stressful thing but you made it look so easy.
I'll definitely recommend you to all my friends.
