Incompetence after incompetence after…

Incompetence after incompetence after incompetence.

Ordered a rug on August 10th. Was supposed to arrive on august 21st. On August 21, the order tracking showed no updates. Called the store.
First Incompetence:
They said it arrived dirty so they had to seek legal action against the supplier (as if that's any of my business) and it would take 3 extra weeks to arrive. Asked them to cancel the order, which they requested I do on the website.

Second Incompetence:
Asked for my details and IBAN to process the refund (because they're stuck back in 2005 and have no possibility to revert the transaction. Provided the details they requested. They then requested a bank document which contains my details because the IBAN was not enough by itself. Why not request that in the first place?!

Third Incompetence:
The mailing system they use is also from 2005. They send you emails from a no-reply address, which means communication only happens one way. From them to you. Your only option is to go back to the contact form on the website.

Fourth incompetence:
PDF would not upload to the contact form on the website. Provided them a URL shared from google drive so they can download it and talked to them on WhatsApp so they can send it to the responsible person. Apparently the clerk on WhatsApp cannot download pdfs because it is a "messenger only". They could not even forward the link to the responsible person. They must think everyone is stupid or old to be be able to use excuses like that.

Fifth Incompetence:
When they finally somehow accept the bank document, I get an email telling me the case was closed and the refund will be processed - September 6.
On SEPTEMBER 17 I receive a refund only for the rug, not the entire order, basically missing 42EUR for an anti slip mat (which was not delivered/picked up anyway).

I have never dealt with a company as incompetent as this one. NEVER.

VIP customers

We were made to feel that our custom was important and the commercial agent listened to us regarding our requirements and budget. The floor was prepared and the flooring laid by a very efficient technicien. He tidied up after himself too. A really excellent job !

Large choice, nice products, quick purchase

St Maclou Republic is easy to find. Large choice of carpets and many other equipment for inside. Nic welcome from personnel. I am very satisfied with my purchase : a small carpet to place under a glass smal table, elegant and colorful. Available in stocks, so I got it in a few minuts. Very good!

Excellent service in the Niort st…

Excellent service in the Niort st Maclou with the person Giovanni, I am English spoken with little French and all the messages/e-mails were delivered in English, which made me feel better with all the experience. The delivery went as planned and the carpet fitters were very good at what they did in my home . I will definitely use it again and recommend to family and friends.

Terrible for delivery on due date

BLACK FRIDAY DISAPPOINTMENT at SAINT MACLOU !!
We read on the Saint Maclou website that they were offering their customers a nice BLACK FRIDAY deal. Their online advertisements offered reductions up to €2000, so we drove 70 km to their Montauban shop to select and order a new carpet for our living room. The shop was nice and we were well advised by a pleasant, knowledgeable sales person, so we ordered a made-to-measure carpet with a braiding added around the edges to avoid fraying. The total price came to €623,99 and we expected the promised BLACK FRIDAY deal of €100 that was mentioned on their website. However, the salesman could not give us that because the material around the edges of the carpet was not included in the Black Friday deal ... ?!
Maybe the Marketing Department of Saint Maclou should live up to their online promises when it said UNE OFFRE VALABLE SUR TOUS NOS PRODUITS !!

Nous avons dépensé plus de mille euros…

Nous avons dépensé plus de mille euros pour tapisser notre salon dans notre gîte et un petit passage. Le tapis 'shaggy' avait l'air super. Malheureusement, comme le service, c'était de la foutaise et c'était un tapis plat au cours du premier mois d'utilisation. C'est une entreprise que je ne recommanderais pas. Même le personnel de Narbonne a pensé que je devais lister tout ce dont j'aurais besoin pour qu'ils fassent le travail, puis est devenu impoli lorsque leurs poseurs de tapis m'ont dit ce qui manquait et je leur ai téléphoné et j'ai dû récupérer les extras et les ajuster moi-même. Pas du tout impressionné car il semble que je devrai remplacer les tapis de 4 mois qui ressemblent à des ordures à ce stade.

We spent over a thousand euros to carpet our lounge in our gite and a small passage. The 'shaggy' carpet looked great. Sadly like the service it was absolute rubbish and was a flat carpet in the first one month of use. This is one company I would not recommend. Even the Narbonne staff thought I should list all the things I would need for them to lay the job, and then got rude when their carpet layers told me what was missing and I phoned them and had to collect the extras and fit them myself. Not impressed at all as it looks like I will have to replace the 4 month old carpets which look like rubbish at this stage.

Les mèches longues de la moquette Shaggy retiennent plus la poussière et demandent donc un entretien très régulier.
Nous vous invitons à passer l'aspirateur régulièrement (minimum une fois par semaine). L'aspiration apporte moelleux et aération à la fibre, et relève ainsi les mèches de votre moquette.
L'idéal est d'utiliser un aspirateur-brosseur.

Très déçu par cette entreprise

Très déçu par cette entreprise!
I have ordered les stores californien yesterday evening at 17:45. The earliest delivery date that I was given was April 6 (so in 1.5 months!). This morning I realized that I made a small mistake and wanted to change the length of the rail that I have ordered. I was told that it is not possible as my order has already been registered. So even though the delivery is in 1,5 months and no one has even looked at my order yet, it is not possible to make a change. So now I am stuck with something that I do not need. There is no flexibility, no attention to the needs of the client. And I have not even mentioned that the price that Saint Maclou has given me is at least 2 times higher that in other shops sur mesure, and possibly 3 times higher than in LeroyMerlin.
