Charged 36 months in advance and when device was stolen, was told there would be no prorated refund. Instead, they would also charge an addiitonal "early termination fee" in order to add insult to injury. With business partners like this, who needs enemies?

The product and service is fine. Billing practices are horrible. Billed about $7,000 too much on CC. Samsara says it will take 15 weeks to rectify. Claims to have major issues with billing and it will take time to resolve. So far it has been about 8 weeks. Not sure if this true or just deceptive practices. Either case it is not good.

DO NOT USE! Would strongly recommend against using Samsara. We purchased the subscription in 2021 a 36 month agreement then year to year after. We found that the software didn't do some features we were led to believe it did so it didn't work for our application. We have been trying to cancel the subscription for 2 years now and have received little response from them only to state that we can't cancel service and we are locked in unto 2027 however when asked to provide information that shows that noone could be. I have reviewed the signed contract and it clearly states its annually renewed after and only requires a 30-day written notice to cancel which we have fulfilled many times over in the past two years of trying to cancel yet they keep ignoring our requests and charging us. Incredibly shady business practice with a huge lack of professionalism. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I have found Samsara very good to deal with , from first contact with Callum, the teams meetings and the follow up to see how and if we are getting the most from the product very professional. The product itself is a game changer for us in regards to safe guarding our drivers and driver training. Would recommend anyone to try there systems.

An email was sent two weeks ago to the Sales Rep who convinced us this was the right system to use and we still haven't heard back from them! You can't get to speak to anyone its all emails which isn't helpful when you have problems with the units! I'm not sure I would renew when the contract ends.

DO NOT use this company. They charged my card almost $20,000 a month ago and have completely ghosted me. It’s happened to multiple people. I’ve been with them for years and have over 100 vehicles with them, and now I will be canceling. It’s my belief that the company is failing. Look elsewhere!

SAMSARA has got to be the worst company as far as customer services goes that I have dealt with in over ten years. I sold two vehicles and no longer require service for those particular vehicles. I requested a cancellation and was refused when my contract is set to end in 3 months. As a result of the decision by SAMSARA I will now be moving and not renewing services for any of my fleet vehicle and will sign with another company. I will also let others know SAMSARAS intentions and that they treat customers as a number with no one on one interactions.

Service was good for three years, but on renewal they will take you over the coals. Renewal rates are 2-3x what your original price is and they make it extremely difficult to cancel. I worked for 45 days sending multiple tickets (they never answer the phone) - waited 48 hours most times between responses and even after confirming my renewal contract was cancelled they still charged me at a 2.5x rate that I was on previously. I have initiated a charge back from my credit card because they answer their phones. Will never do business with them again just for the experience renewing/cancelling.

What an awful customer service they have here. They must not understand being in silicon valley that trucking companies are moving everybody and need immediate assistance. These guys just basically sell you the equipment and dissapear. No actually U.S office and anyone that picks up the phone is useless. Can't speak to a supervisor or solve a problem. I've been waiting 20!!!! Days for a call from renewals or a supervisor becuase they charged me 3k that I didn't approve. No one has reached out other then the generic copy paste emails asking me to "patiently wait" This is what happens when you out source all your help. I'm beyond frustrated with these guys. What kind of backwards business practice is it to charge a customer 3 years of service up front??? Are you guys not aware of the struggles with the trucking industry? I give you guys zero stars for service.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Great software with ghosts for customer service. I have used them for over 10 years and regret every second. Their customer service is only a contract collection company. No one can actually help with problems. Use a different service, there are plenty of them out there that actually care about their customers and the software is the same.

The platform is very comprehensive, the video notifications and the coaching elements work well. The tracking is good and much better than alternatives when looking in real time - and considering the price it should be!
However we were oversold. We had 2 key requirements, firstly that trailer tracking worked properly and trailers were associated with trucks/tractors. This doesn’t work properly, there’s also no real integration on the API side for trailers so updates must be done through the front end. Our second hard requirement was good integration with our existing systems, this is where samsara on paper is much better than the competition. However, their documentation is incomplete and some parts are just incorrect. When raising these as issues, they get recognised, but elevated to 2nd line and dev teams and we never receive updates/resolutions. This has made it impossible for us to have full syncing between our systems and vehicle properties in samsara, leading to updates in one system that are not mirrored in another.
In summary, the tracking and behavioural coaching is very good. On paper, the integration (API access) is the best out there, however the reality is somewhat different, the tech team is responsive before you sign the contract, less so after signing and paying.
