Honest review - breast augmentation and uplift. (27th Oct)
From the minute of enquiry, everything did run smoothly - Berkay my medical consultant was there for anything I need answering, or just reassuring me when I needed it.
From point of enquiry, to having my operation was just under 3 weeks so everything was all systems go.
I originally secured another clinic, however after discussions with other people who had been to this clinic and received exceptional service I changed my mind.
After booking, I was then put in touch with a patient service coordinator - Emre Can. Who advised me what to do prior to my surgery, and what I need to do once I arrive in Turkey.
This run smoothly, with no disruptions or hold ups.
I got into the hotel at approx 1am, and got picked up by the driver at 6am to head to the hospital for my operation. (Breast uplift and implant) vehicle is also shared with other people.
Once I headed to the hospital, all tests are done (blood test & chest xray) please note, you’re not advised of your results prior to your procedure.
Once these were completed, you were taken up into a cubicle while you wait for your surgeon to arrive, in this time you are given a gown, stockings and hair net to put on prior to going down to theatre.
The surgeon then arrived, marked you up and says ‘see you in theatre’ however, I hadn’t yet had a consultation - I didn’t get to see any implants, different sizes, difference between profiles etc. At this point, I was really worried and asked the surgeon come back to reassure me with what I was having.
I then requested why I hadn’t had a proper consultation prior, and he said ‘well you haven’t come to my office’ .. I didn’t know this was an option, as everything happens so quickly.
At this point, your asked to make your payment and you no longer see anyone from Sanamentum after this. (While I was in surgery, my husband and son didn’t see anyone)
I went down for surgery, and got taken directly into the theatre. You are completely aware of your surroundings, you see all equipment, lights, machines etc. Then you are asked to lay on the operating table.
I realised how everything is done so quickly, because it’s like second nature to them, almost like a conveyer belt. Your also asked to sign a document stating ‘as this is a university student hospital, do you consent for them to take part in your surgery’ - what I did not agree to, as I wanted the surgeon who I had researched to carry out my surgery, this was also a quiestion I asked prior to flying to Turkey and even paying my deposit. However, while in the theatre, there was numerous students in there.. what they done, I have no idea.
After my surgery, I got taken to a private room where my husband and son were waiting for me. For the first few hours, everything went smoothly, until the night came. No one was in sight, I was in quite alot of pain and found myself begging for pain relief.
My heart rate went dangerously high, and my husband had to beg for someone to take it serious. I was told it was a side effect of the general anesetic, what I know wasn’t true as I have been under general on numerous of occasions, they sent around a ‘cardiologist’ who reassured I was ok, only to find out he was reading the wrong part of the machine and not my actual heart rate.
They eventually give me a medicine to slow my heart rate down, again I have no idea what this was.
After this, my blood pressure, or heart rate wasn’t taken again… a lady came and took the machine out of my room.
I wasn’t given anything until the following morning, where I got upset that no one had checked on me throughout the night.
A cleaner came and cleaned my room at 3am, and they bring breakfast at 6am.
I had a message of Emre to say I was getting discharged, although I hadn’t seen anyone to check my wounds, or any observations to even check I was suitable for discharge.
While the translator came to tell me the pick up driver was outside, I requested I wanted to see the surgeon, or someone who can reassure me that my heart rate was ok, and that surgery went well… but I had nothing. The man who collected me got quite an attitude while I was asking why I hadn’t seen anyone. They said well your bloods are fine, to what I responded I haven’t had any…. He then said, well the blood pressure is fine… to what I responded I hadn’t had my blood pressure taken for over 10 hours… he then said ‘well they have checked you’ to what they hadn’t.
I messaged my travel coordinator and medical adviser to advise of my frustrations.
After getting back into my hotel, I had a message to say I wouldn’t have a check up, or speak/see anyone until the following Thursday. So I had the op early Monday morning, and didn’t see anyone until 4:15pm Thursday afternoon to get my fit to fly.
I am now under Selin, aftercare. And she’s been great so far! My op went well, and I love my results - but please be vigilant not everyone are treated as promised.

My surgeon was excellent (Dr cadgri sade) i am only 5 weeks post op but my results look amazing so far .

Review of my treatment with Surgical staff and Dr Daghan.
I wrote a review 2 minths ago on how I was refused my surgery.
Although extremely dissapointed at the time. I was grateful to Dr Daghan and the team to put my health as a priority.
My high blood pressure forced the abandoned surgery of Face / neck / lateral eye and Lower Bleph.
So losing some weight, and flying back out was a very nervous time.
Arrived on 14th october. Picked up and checked into the Rox hotel. A very pleasant hotel. Food excellent and the staff equally so.
The tests on 15th from 6am until 0830 were extensive but easy. No waiting around. I was in theatre for 8 hours. Why so long.
Here we have an absolute gentleman, kind, caring, meticulous.
Explained everything as before.
I woke up 2 seconds after drifting off to sleep. But of course that is how it feels.
All night was looked after by the hospital staff. I had wished I had taken someone with me. I had to keep calling. I was in some discomfort but made to feel as relaxed as possible.
The following week picked up daily and a check over re dressing and plenty of time to discuss any concerns.
The result just one week after is this.
Without exaggeration I look 20 years younger.
This surgeon and his team are simply wonderful.
I am sure tgere are other fantastic surgeons out there.
I can only recommend as I see. It is simply this.

I recently visited this clinic for a hair transplant, marking my second visit due to an outstanding initial experience. As expected, the airport pickup service to the hotel was seamless and convenient, contributing to a stress-free arrival.
The clinic maintains a high standard of professionalism and cleanliness throughout. While the environment may initially seem reserved, the staff become warm and approachable as you get to know them. First-time visitors might not feel an overtly welcoming atmosphere at the start, but this improves with interaction.
During my visit, there were several other patients undergoing hair transplant procedures, which created a sense of shared experience. Engaging in conversations with fellow patients helped ease any initial awkwardness and added a positive, supportive element to the overall experience.
I chose to stay for a week, and it turned out to be one of the most satisfying medical trips I’ve had. I would confidently return to this clinic for any future treatments and highly recommend it to others considering similar procedures.

Travel and Flight:- They arranged airport pickup hotel stay and vip transfer. Some packages include Flight reimbursement, witch is helpful.The whole journey was smooth and well organized
Clinic and surgery:- The clinic was modern, and the procedure was professionals.the team explained everything clearly.They used the FUE method no pain during the procedure.
After care :- They gave detailed instructions for washing and recovery .i also recived some products.
Overall :- Good experience,smooth travel,and professional service.id recommend it for anyone considering a hair transplant abroad just make sure follow their aftercare proerly and keep realistic expectations.

Istanbul Dental Experience
I have made two visits in relation to dental treatment. I have been very pleased. Everything was well organised by Efe. Even down to the airport pick up and transport from the hotel to the clinic. The hotel (Rox) was included in the price and was excellent with all you could need and lovely staff. The clinic itself also was blessed with pleasant and knowledgeable employees and the dental work that was carried out was perfect. The overall cost was, I felt, most reasonable. To conclude, I am very happy that I made the decision to use this clinic.

I decided to wait for 4 months before reviewing as every other review seems to be just after the procedure. 12 month review.
I had my transplant 25th of October last year, so a couple of weeks off a year ago, I am so disappointed with the results.
On the day of the transplant I was guaranteed full thick coverage. I have been left with the complete opposite. My results are very thin and very patchy. Two different technicians carried out actually placing the hairs (I was told on booking that a doctor completes the full procedure) both technicians clearly had a very different technique, as one side looks totally different to the other.
I couldn't be more disappointed with the results, and am now booked in with another uk based company to rectify sanamentums awful work.
TRUST ME, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Our trip was to Istanbul/Baskent hospital
Our Journey with Sanamentum began around March 2025, when my daughter and I had a video call with Dr. Aydin
We were quoted for our package which included our hotel, pick ups, and procedures
Efe, our contact, was always on hand with queries and concerns
Some of my concerns were “will there be a safety deposit box in our room in the hospital?” We were informed there would be, another was “will there be someone who speaks English while we are in the hospital?” We were told there would be. Another thing we were promised was that there would be person on hand 9AM - 5PM while we were recuperating at the hotel.
NONE OF THE ABOVE WERE PROVIDED!
The hotel we were booked into “The Volley” boasted a pool in it’s reviews (we later found out that The Volley’s pool is no longer in use)
However the night we arrived to The Volley, September 7th, 2025, they did not have a booking for us. We then had to wait for an hour, after travelling all day, for a taxi to take us to “The Ramada, Alibekoy” - this journey was another 50 minutes
It was after midnight before we got to our room. We had been informed our pick up next morning was 6AM, however at 5.30AM we were called to say our taxi was there. Very stressful to be told this while we were trying to prepare for surgeries that morning
On the way down to reception the lift jammed, 5 times we pressed the alarm bell. No one came. Finally we freed ourselves
We met with Dr Aydin who assured us he could do the procedures as we explained. A lower face, neck, brow lift and upper blepharoplasty for me and upper blepharoplasty for my daughter
I had been assured during the consultation with Dr. Aydin and his nurse, Mera, that I would have a pillow on the operating table for my coccyx as I am very slim. I was assured this was no problem
Now it was becoming clear no one around the hospital - except Seva (who was only around very occasionally) spoke English. In the operating theatre I had to almost fight and sign that I needed a pillow for my coccyx. No one was aware of this request
Next thing I knew I was being anaesthetised, I did not see the anaesthetist, nor did the anaesthetist introduce themselves or ask had I ever had a problem with general anaesthetic. My problem with general anaesthetic is vomiting and migraine afterwards
On return to the ward I had a bad migraine and was violently ill, vomiting over the guard rail, at which point the incisions on my eyes were copiously bleeding into the vomit
There was no one, no staff, anyone to whom I could express my fears that the stitches in my eyelids may have burst. I saw no one for what felt like a long time
The vomit and the blood remained on the floor for hours
I was in incredible pain and my requests for pain meds (in signing, as no one spoke English) were ignored
All the staff (except one lovely girl) were borderline rude, no eye contact, no smiles, no information about what meds we were being given, nothing. One nurse lifted my bed sheet and with no eye contact or any communication whatsoever ripped out my catheter - the pain was excruciating
On arrival back to the hotel we discovered not only was there no pool, there was no sundeck, no outside area in which to sit, no balconies, and the hotel itself was in the middle of a very high traffic area, right across from a very noisy bus station, with no restaurant, coffee shop or green area within several kilometres. Neither was there a hotel in the area who we could ask to use an outside area
Recuperating from a fairly serious surgery you just want to sit somewhere quiet outside
But we spent 13 days and nights cooped up, in an airless room, getting cabin fever, with nothing but room service
There were no English speaking channels on the TV
It was an expensive taxi ride away in to Taksim Square if we were well enough to go there but sadly, apart from one trip at the very end, we were not
On about day 3 in the hotel I was very ill with Migraine and vomiting but there was no one to help as had been promised
Our post op check ups with Dr Aydin went well, he was the gentleman as always
In summary Dr Aydin is superb, a gentleman, kind and professional and at time of writing (One month post op) our results are good
I would advise huge caution around The Baskent and most of the staff and
that you get your quote for your procedures alone and book your own hotel independently - and insure your pick ups can be from this hotel (we heard that Sanamentum have contracts with both The Volley and The Ramada, Alibekoy)
Yes - the cost of these surgeries in Turkey are about one quarter the cost they would be at home so the question is - are the sub standard hospital practises and very poor hotel amenities worth the savings?
Yes - 5 stars for Dr Aydin, Mera, Seva and (to date) Anil…..but my jury is out on the rest

The doctor who operated me was good and very professional and did a really good job as well as the staff at the hospital, most of them don't speak English but they know what they do. A big thanks to all of them. I am very satisfied about the aftercare service, very reliable, kind and always able to answer all the questions!
The hotel was also amazing and located in a very good part of the city.

Hello.. This review is based on my personal experience of my hair transplant which I did with sanamentum in January 2025..
The hospital's hygiene standards are so low was a deep concern.. where you can see Blood all over the floor from previous patients.. an the equipment which were used where totally of Rust an also the floor cabinet ..
One Docter was present with 2 nurses they took Break in between where they had their Lunch..in the same room as I was having my hair transplant was a big concern..As the Doctor left the Nurses were frequently on their phones.. an giving no attention for the patient..
The total process looked unhygienic, Rushed,unorganised, an do it as soon as possible without having a word with the patient..totally disagree..
As of my process I was drafted 4000 grafts an till date as we are in October nothing has worked for me I have no new roots come or the transplant they did was total failure...
So santanmam is the worst place to do your hair transplant ..
I took from santanmam a 3 month hair growth products which I paid separately an also did my 3 PRP session all cost me a lot for my hair transplant, hair growth products, an PRP session where santanmam is not the place for your hair transplant where my experience was totally disgusting an dispointing...
An lastly the after care of their hair transplant services is totally Zero...
