I paid my car payment every month could not afford to loose my car because my wife needed it to go to work and back after hers was stolen last night walk outside and see the tow truck hooking up my car after I just paid a payment last week I have printed out all the papers showing my payments and was behind half a payment and they still took it I am going to show everyone I work with my family my friends this bs and let them know not to use this company to finance a vehicle now we are left walking over 250 dollars worse company in the world I will do everything in my power to ruin this place lawyer will be getting ahold of them

I never got any information from the car dealership about who my loan company was. The finance company never sent me anything either. I contacted the dealership, and they gave me the number to Santander. I called, they had to walk me through the steps of their webpage because it was obviously designed in 1996. Once I created the account and tried to sign in, it said that I could not log in. I called Santander again and they said the system would be down until Sunday. This was a freaking Friday. All I want to do is make a payment!

By far the worst place to finance a car poor I wouldn’t recommend them to petsmart for dog food I tried reaching out to make an agreement on my loan because I was falling on hard times they repoed my car stopped calling all my personal belongings were still in it and yet they still proceeded to take the vehicle to an auction building I am highly pissed with this company and I wouldn’t give you if couldn’t any customers

Customer representative that I spoke to over the phone was very impatient and was getting upset with me asking if Santander Consumer USA had a mobile app I could upload on my phone. He was so confused about the question to the point where he was rushing me off the phone and never even tried to understand me so he could help me in anyway.That’s the reason for my one star.

Hello I have been trying to make a payment now for 2 months can't log into my account because it says it's locked. Can't call the phone number because it's says the last 6 digits of my social and date of birth aren't correct and it won't forward you to a representative at all. This is a very unprofessional company with rates that intentionally cause someone to go into debt. How someone can charge anyone 1000 dollars a month for a car payment is unethical and should be illegal. Just shows you they don't care about the person only if they can pay or not. I'll be returning my vehicle just because they make you decide wether or not you want your car or to be able to feed your family. Special place in hel for people like this

Dont use PayPal and pay with a credit card they'll let you save the card but when you accept and pay it defaults to checking and doesnt tell you so they can collect their $6.75 fee. Avoid this scam company.
Edit: of course they want to do the right thing now after they flatly refused to refund even though their payment method should say no credit card to begin with. What a fraud.
They can deal with bbb and cfpb complaint opened the second supervisor refused to refund my $6.75.
Bottom line its not about the money its about certain companies integrity. I wouldnt count on that from santander. Banks need to remember this that I will be avoiding them like the plague in the future all for $7. Smart.

Santander has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. My auto loan was paid in full on 12/30/2025, yet weeks later they still have not released the electronic lien/title to the Florida DMV.
Despite multiple calls, Santander representatives repeatedly insist on mailing a loan satisfaction letter, even after being told by both the Florida DMV and my new lender (Navy Federal Credit Union) that paper letters are NOT accepted and that Santander must release the title electronically. They either do not understand the process or refuse to listen.
I was given incorrect information, redirected to useless websites, refused escalation to a manager, and spent over 30 minutes arguing with the title department, only to be told—again—that they would mail paperwork that does not resolve the issue. Navy Federal continues to show Santander as the lienholder electronically.
Because of Santander’s incompetence, I am now at risk of losing my refinance rate due to their failure to release a paid-off title. This has caused weeks of unnecessary stress and wasted time.
I have filed formal complaints with the BBB, the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and my State Attorney General.
If you value your time, sanity, or finances, do not finance through Santander.
i keep calling because I'm locked out of my account its saying I'm logging in wrong more times than i actually am i was given a temporary passcode that didn't work i was told to wait 24 hours and try again still did not work earlier today i called again she said she was going to have my account deleted for me to try to set it up new again in 10 minutes i waited hours and i still cannot access my online account

I received a message that my first car payment was not able to go through from my bank. So, I as a concerned customer called to rectify the situation. My auto pay was set up on my savings account and doesn't pull from the checking account; I didn't know this at the time I set it up. I called to correct the issue, but was me with employee's who thought they knew what they were taking about, but didn't. They keep saying that you can't connect it to a savings account. I kept trying to tell them otherwise, but they would not listen. I also kept trying to tell them, my payment was denied. But they kept saying that it was not denied, and has been processed. I think this should be something that should be discussed in your next board meeting. To inform your employees what they DO NOT KNOW. Not sit there an tell a customer who already knows who is trying to inform them. So, that they can fix the problem, and go on about their daily activities known that their payment was successfully made. This is by far the worst auto loan company I have ever dealt with, and i'm fifty five years old.And had a lot of car payments! Let's see if they hear the customer's voice.

Run run run from this company they are crooked. Someone who works for Santander got into my bank account and zelled 900.00 out of my account. Santander was of no help. Horrible customer service. I filed police report and Bank of America tracked the zelle to an employee. Crooked liars. Never get a loan from these thieves.

Santander Consumer USA uses dishonest business practices and horrible customer service. I made my first car payment without issue when my second payment was returned for some unknown reason forcing me to make a debit card payment which resulted in added fees. The payment was from the same account which caused my frustration. The dishonest customer service agent claims that because my payment was allegedly returned that I must make other payments resulting in extra fees. DISHONEST.
