Installed the Schlage Ease S2 on our front door and the finish on the keypad cover started bubbling/peeling after normal outdoor use in full sun. Support confirmed the Ease S2 only has a 2-year warran... See more

Terrible customer service and product
Horrid, non-existent customer service. Wish I could rate a zero. Finish has peeled off. I have submitted 4 online complaints and photos to Schlage and called three times. Three calls and they never answer the phone after being left waiting for over 30 minutes. During one call I requested, at their request, to be called back. No return call was ever received. In one (last one) of the four online submissions I received an automated response with a case #. I was then sent a customer satisfaction survey. I filled it out and asked to be contacted and nobody has responded. I had a similar issue with Kwikset and it was resolved within a week. The parts arrived within 2 weeks. It is clear they don't care about their customers or back their products.
Absolutely HORRIBLE products
Absolutely HORRIBLE products. Our experience since moving into our home has been awful with the schlage keypad lock BE469ZP. The products are cheap and ineffective. Nothing works how it is supposed to work and adding and switching codes never works using the instructions they provide. It's all BS. On top of that, you have to purchase some "hub" just to link the lock to your phone otherwise you can't make the changes to the lock from your phone. It's pathetic. I have used many keypad door locking systems and Schlage is by far the absolute WORST one out there. I would not recommend this system to my worst enemy.
Not a good lock (most of them) for rekeying.....
Schlage locks are very secure but are the absolute worst on the market when it comes to being rekeyed. Their new Dexter line is unable to be rekeyed and about one third of all their others are not user friendly as they are a royal pain to get the pin cover plate off of if you need to do so. If you happen to have a pin and spring pop out you are going to be very unhappy by the time you get it back together. Imo they are garbage and over rated. Kwikset is by far a more user friendly brand.
Schlage is the best option for Motel and STR Owners
We've been using Schlage locks at our vacation rentals for almost a decade and couldn't be happier. We love that we can use the app to set key-codes remotely and with time access intervals.
We recently integrated them automatically in our reservation management platform Hostaway, and have had very few issues.
We talk with other motel owners, and many have switched to Schlage because of us.
I purchased a very expensive dead bolt…
I purchased a very expensive dead bolt front door keyless entry lock. It squeaks miserably and Lowe’s won’t give me credit. I hate Schlage. Can’t get through to them and lots of red tape. Waste of money! Don’t buy!!!
no customer service at Schlage
no customer service at Schlage - unbelievable
No customer support.
Worst lock experience
Bought Schlage lock and less than two years it stopped working, then had to wait 3 months to get a replacement from Schlage, had to pay to get it re installed and less than a month later the lock is not working. Really regret buying Schlage, worst lock ever. a real headache!
Their encode plus locks are defective
Their encode plus locks are defective. Amazon kept sending replacements for the smart wi fi but both were defective. Schlage has the worst customer service. Wait times to reach someone well over 1 hr then the person you speak with is clueless. They ask for email documentation but never respond once you send the information in.
Nonexistent customer service.
Exact same complaint as everyone else here. Program code doesn't work, customer service won't answer the phone, no help videos online for our specific model, manual gives no explanation for our issue. Ridiculous. Will definitely be looking to replace for another brand.
Absolutely no help
Absolutely no help. Over an hour on hold and still no answer. Just to ask about using the warranty since the lock went dead after 3 months
No Customer Service Whatsoever
Same as all the others. Program code is not functioning and Schlage customer service will not answer the telephone.
Quality product; process of accessing Customer Service is terrible.
Actually, it seems that the product is very well made. However, the instructions refer to User Codes and a Program code, but instructions not clear regarding the purpose or use of program code; so, I called customer support. Here is where things headed south unnecessarily. This line gives absolutely no indication of estimated wait times (like real companies); nor is there an option to receive a call back when a rep is available. I was on hold for just under an hour with no hint of how much longer. Eventually, I spoke with and delightful, helpful agent who answered my question very quickly and professionally. He noted the source of my confusion, which I suspect will not be addressed. He also apologized for the system giving no anticipated wait time, nor options for a call back; stating that he has raised this issue in the past, but it goes unaddressed: WHY, this is 2023!!!
In conclusion, the Schlage Keypad Deadbolt I purchased seems like a fine product; their instructions could have been clearer regarding the purpose/use of Program Code; the phone prompt system used to connect to a customer service rep is outdated, inadequate, and frustrating; once I FINALLY navigated the obtuse, irritating, unresponsive phone prompt system and eventually spoke with a customer service rep, he was a very helpful, knowledgeable employee in the United States who spoke English... a refreshing end to earlier frustration.
trying to get to someone for customer…
trying to get to someone for customer service after i am locked out, tried it for hours no response at all, no body picks up the call
No Customer Service!
My Schlage Touchless electronic lock would not turn the bolt even after trying all the suggestions in the manual and online. Have tried for over a week to speak to customer service. Unsuccessful. Also sent email with no response.
Today, I replaced it with another brand... ended my frustration.
Schlage electronic lock fails to unlock…
Schlage electronic lock fails to unlock shortly after 3 year warranty on the electronics expired. Product was over-priced but I bought it because Schlage used to sell quality products. Those days are gone. Specific lock is BE365 PLY 716, Plymouth keypad deadbolt. It cost $177 in 2019.
