I enjoyed the virtual experience. The review of my lab work was well done and questions were answered. I appreciate the Rx changes and choices given. The only draw back was she spoke very quickl... See more

These folks have been amazing
These folks have been amazing! I don't have a family doctor and accessing health care locally is REALLY hard. I've been using Science & Humans for a few years now and they really have made such a difference for me. Their customer service is so great, they are so helpful, even with silly questions! The NP's are personable and easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and have had some great recommendations. By far the best online health group I've used!
Why didn't I do this sooner?
It's so easy, I can't believe that I didn't do this sooner. I was short fused for so long with no energy. You start with a blood req from any life labs or dynacare location. Afterwards, you see an NP to go over your results. You discuss a treatment plan and S&H helps you in every step of the way. Any issues you have like spilled medication, they'll take care of you.
As someone from a rural community
As someone from a rural community, self-advocation has been my only option in order to seek help. Science in humans exceeded my expectations. I have never felt more heard, more seen and more genuinely helped by any physician in my life. Having struggled with hormonal problems my entire life and left with nothing but self-education and research in order to seek proper medical treatment, after just 40 minutes in a consultation with one of their hormone specialists physicians, I now have a plan, prescriptions coming to my door all covered by my medical insurance. And I finally feel like my health is being taken seriously. I am beyond thankful. I am beyond grateful. This was one of the best decisions of my life.
They advertise $1 to get your bloodwork…
They advertise $1 to get your bloodwork done. Then they charge you $200 to get assessed. And you wait weeks with no one reaching out. Had to follow up myself. Still no assessment, weeks after bloodwork.
Untrustworthy, horrible service.
I have been working with the folks…
I have been working with the folks (consultants and administrators) at Science & Humans for nearly 18 months now. Throughout my interactions with them, I have found everyone to be knowledgeable and approachable, and I highly recommend their services.
Very Misleading
Its a shame because it looks like a great service but the way they handle their billing made me lose trust. Long story short, I signed up for a $1 promotion and they took out $200 without telling me and then lied about it. They refused to refund me and I ended up disputing it with my bank to get the money back.
I signed up through an Instagram…
I signed up through an Instagram advertisement. On a mobile device, the pricing information is not clearly visible, as it appears only at the very bottom of the page. Additionally, after clicking "Get Started," there is no clear disclosure of the consultation fees.
The initial bloodwork fee of $1 seemed like a great offer, so I proceeded. However, before I had even decided whether I wanted to continue with the service, I was charged a $200 consultation fee despite not having booked or attended an appointment.
When my bloodwork results came back, I was advised that everything was normal, with no significant concerns or abnormalities identified. Despite these results, I was informed that a consultation was still required to discuss potential treatment options, which would involve the $200 fee.
After reviewing my results, I advised the company that I was not interested in proceeding with the consultation. Unfortunately, my request for a refund of the $200 consultation fee was denied.
Prospective customers should carefully review all fees and terms before signing up to avoid unexpected charges.
Amazing company been with 5 years
Amazing company been with 5 years. Get your Trt needs here!
I initially had difficulty…
I initially had difficulty understanding and setting up my profile in the Telehealth portal (partly user error). The staff were timely in sorting things out and setting up my first consultation appointment for me.
Great service
Great service. Doctors and staff are always very supportive. I ve been in treatment for 2 years and a half and I cannot complain about anything.
So far everything was seamless
So far everything was seamless. I got the labs requisition immediately. The day after my results I had a response on a review of the labs. I did have a little issue with the app but an associate was able to assist me all the way to booking an appointment with the most qualified doctor in my region.
I am looking forward to the next steps as the experience up to know has been very positive.
So far, so good.
Had some conversion issue when starting out along with some provincial regulations that got in the way, but it all worked out in the end, thanks to the staff at science and humans.
Most support staff are very personable and quick to respond. When dealing with the same person for a while, it's good that they remember you so you don't have to explain yourself over and over again. I'm not sure if that is intentional or if it just worked out that way in my favour.
Most NPs are very good as well and attentive to your requests and needs. They treat you like a person and take the time to listen; not treat you like a sheep going through a turn style...
In a health system that seems to be at least a decade behind, it's good to have some of these people here to help achieve your goals.
deceptive clinic
deceptive clinic , charges you a fee without your consent, just asks you to put credit card on the file , and then charges you out of nowhere.
customer service is awful
I signed up for the $1 blood exam…
I signed up for the $1 blood exam promotion, but they buried the fine print and automatically charged me an unauthorized $200 fee without my explicit consent. This company uses deceptive billing practices to lock people into recurring charges. Avoid Science & Humans unless you want unexpected money taken from your bank account!
Always a quick response to inquiries
Always a quick response to inquiries. Very knowledgeable staff who are quite helpful. I highly recommend their services.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. I have appreciated the knowledgeable practitioners and the "human" aspect of this process. Shoutout to Nourane who was so helpful.
Conflicting information regarding medication handling left me without confidence in my care
I am extremely disappointed that my experience with Science & Humans ended this way.
I originally chose Science & Humans because I believed I had found a healthcare provider that genuinely cared about their patients. This treatment and service were also being paid for entirely out of pocket, and as a patient making a significant personal financial investment in my healthcare, I expected a high level of communication, coordination, and confidence in the information being provided.
The clinical support I received from NP Bonnie and Jihane was wonderful. Bonnie especially went above and beyond to support both myself and my husband, and I am truly grateful for the care and compassion they provided.
Unfortunately, my overall experience was impacted by repeated communication issues and inconsistencies that ultimately caused me to lose confidence in continuing my care.
My concerns began when my temperature-sensitive medication arrived warm. The package contained only one small ice pack, and it was delivered to a metal mailbox sitting in direct sunlight. Because I was not provided with tracking information, I had no way of knowing how long the medication had been sitting in those conditions before I retrieved it.
I contacted Science & Humans regarding my concerns and was reassured that the medication remained safe and effective to use. Based on that information, I continued taking the medication as prescribed.
However, when it was time to refill my prescription, I contacted the dispensing pharmacy and was informed that they would no longer ship the medication due to concerns that heat exposure could impact the medication’s effectiveness. This was extremely concerning because it conflicted with the reassurance I had previously received regarding my original shipment.
At that point, I was faced with the possibility of another interruption in my treatment while waiting for answers and a resolution. Because my next injection was due and I could not risk another missed dose, I made the decision to seek care elsewhere and have my prescription filled locally to avoid another gap in treatment.
During the time I was using that pen, I also did not experience the progress I expected. I continued to struggle with hunger, cravings, and food noise, and I did not lose weight during that period — I actually gained some weight back. While I understand results can vary from person to person, receiving conflicting information about the medication’s effectiveness made me question whether my concerns had been fully addressed.
I also experienced frustration with communication and account issues, including a missed follow-up, an appointment that was cancelled and rescheduled less than 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment time due to the provider being double-booked, and confusion regarding goodwill credits that were discussed.
At one point, I was advised that the dispensing pharmacy had offered a $103 credit toward my next Ozempic pen purchase, and I was also advised that Science & Humans would apply a $100 account credit. I specifically asked how both credits would be applied individually. Later, I was informed that the credit was actually only from Science & Humans, which added to my frustration because the earlier communication did not appear to match that explanation.
Before sharing this review, I gave Science & Humans the opportunity to investigate my concerns and provide clarification. While I appreciate that they took the time to respond and process my cancellation request, I do not feel that the conflicting information I received throughout this process was fully resolved.
I want to be clear that this review is not a reflection of the clinical providers who supported me. NP Bonnie and Jihane were amazing, and I truly appreciate everything they did for me and my husband. My concerns are with the communication, coordination, and processes between the company and pharmacy partners.
I truly hoped this situation would be resolved differently, but after multiple inconsistencies, the stress of trying to get clear answers, and needing to seek care elsewhere to avoid another interruption in treatment, I no longer feel confident continuing with Science & Humans.
I hope Science & Humans uses this feedback as an opportunity to improve communication between teams and ensure patients receive clear, consistent information when making decisions about their healthcare.
Do not recommend science & humans
I was a Science & Humans patient for approximately a year and a half, and unfortunately, I recently had to cancel my subscription due to ongoing billing issues and consistently poor customer service.
I want to start with the positive because it’s important to be fair. My clinician, Dr. Abida, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, and one of the main reasons I stayed with the service for so long. If you’re considering Science & Humans, I highly recommend requesting her as your practitioner.
Unfortunately, everything outside of the clinical care was a very different experience.
From the beginning, I repeatedly encountered billing and system errors. Every couple of months, I found myself acting as the middleman to resolve issues that should have been handled internally. This often meant spending 30 minutes or more on hold, having calls disconnected without a callback, and repeatedly explaining the same situation to different representatives.
Two months ago, I left a review after the leadership team reached out and assured me these issues would be addressed. I genuinely appreciated that outreach and hoped things would improve. Unfortunately, the exact same problems happened again.
When I contacted customer service this time, I experienced the same frustrations. What disappointed me most was that, instead of taking accountability for the recurring service issues, I was told that my best option was simply to cancel my subscription. So I did.
There are many excellent alternatives available today, and I reached the point where I could no longer justify spending my time fixing recurring administrative problems. A year and a half is more than enough time for a company to address ongoing operational issues.
Over the past year and a half, I referred several family members and friends to Science & Humans because I genuinely believed in the clinical care. After my recent experience, however, I’ve shared with them why I chose to leave so they can make an informed decision.
If you’re considering Science & Humans, make your decision with realistic expectations. The clinical care—particularly from Dr. Abida—was excellent. However, in my experience, the customer service, recurring billing errors, and lack of accountability ultimately outweighed that positive experience.
I sincerely hope the company improves its customer service and operational processes because patients deserve better. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can no longer recommend Science & Humans to my family, friends, or anyone looking for this type of care. I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision.
