We are unsure what this review refers to- however we assume it is perhaps from someone we were unable to assist due to their financial situation and are upset about that.

Absolute joke

Applied on Monday and was asked to provide 8bweeks worth of bank statements, plus provided bank statements to show where all my income went and the reasons they were in different accounts. The Credit Committee reviewed everything and said they just had to see.proof that all the income stated was mine so to send in award letters which I did. The next day I got an email sayingnit had been rejected based on the information they had. They had that information before requesting award letters so why have me jumping through.more.hoops?? This company don't help people with bad credit or unemployed and the time it takes them to get back to you you're in a worse predicament than when you applied. Bad service

Applied online 2 days ago couldn't for…

Applied online 2 days ago couldn't for some reason send statements electronically so had to travel to bank in town get 8 weeks of paper statements and hand them in to scotcash today done all this in horrendous weather conditions today with my 6 year old so praying its not been for nothing and I'm accepted. Have to say until now scotcash have been great with replying to emails and where friendly when I popped in today even offering help to my 18 year old with regards to opening a bank account. So yeah providing I'm accepted I'll happily stick with this company
Update:: after being asked today to email a breakdown of my income which I done and which confirms exactly what I stated in application and what shows on bank statements after speaking twice on phone with them today and being told I would get a decision tomorrow I received an email at 8 at night telling me I've been refused! Banging on to me about debt which I'm confused with seen as how I have no debt. Feel like I've been strung along for 2 days why not tell me from word go I was refused why ask for more info knowing the answers only to then refuse take back anything positive I had to say with regards to this company!!!!!
2nd update on this review and the plot thickens scotcash rung me today went over all my finances turns out they had made an error and so I was offered max amount for 1st time loan it was gillian who dealt with me and she was lovely so helpful so plz ignore my second update guys and stick with the 1st the error was an easily made mistake. So yeah great company

cant fault scotcash

I had appointment with Scotcash on 5th this week for a loan. Got the loan approved quick and easy. Staff great, girl I seen Gillian couldn’t have been nicer. With her looking at my statements she was able to spot that I was not getting all my entitlement that I should be and today I have been told I’m owed money and my money has been fixed because of her. Thank you very much I am a repeat customer and can not wait to come back and see my loan officer again.

I've had no problems so far

I've had no problems so far, I think this company is great, I have been to many of lenders and these are the cheapest by far, you need to wait for a decision but that's OK as it's a very busy company, lots of customers as they are so cheap, staff have been very nice, friendly and helpful, can't ask for anymore, great service, I would definitely recommend and will definitely use them again, thank you for your services. Much appreciated, j rafferty

Great lender. More ethical than payday loan sharks ...

Much lower interest rates than the extortionate rates charged by payday lenders/loan sharks, and one can repay in manageable instalments. So in my opinion well worth the wait of a few days to find out if one has been approved. My credit rating isn’t the best so it’s great they look at outgoings/income and affordability instead.

This seems a more ethical, Not-for-Profit lender which also helps people open bank accounts and save with Scottish credit unions if local to Scotland. Waiting for my loan to be paid out in 2 working days once one has paid the modest admin fee, which one only pays once approved. My loan has since been paid into my account within 2 working days as promised. Simple and transparent.

Very Poor Communication

I have recently paid off a loan with Scotcash - no problems, and if anything my financial position has improved.
So I thought I would apply for a new loan - applied over a week ago and gave them access to my online banking, as before. didn't hear anything so I asked if they had received my request. I got a reply saying yes, and they would get back to me within 5 working days. So late on Friday of last week I received a text at 17:00, saying they were busy but hoped to get an answer within 5 working days. So I left it to give them a full 5 working days, heard nothing yesterday and today mailed them. They say I have been unsuccessful, I don't mind that but refute their reasons for not giving the loan. What annoys me is that a company that promotes themselves as being on the consumers side and claims to have awards don't communicate with you, and also charge you up front for a loan if successful. So all in all - Scotcash would be best avoided. Others have said similar about their lack of communication, if they are that busy - more staff could help, but that would bite in to their profits......

I cant believe that Scotcash have now emailed saying they did send an email, but I didn't receive it. However, they also say that it is not very helpful to post bad reviews as it means other people will perhaps go elsewhere, that's a shame. Perhaps if Scotcash improved their communication skills then others would not be complaining along with myself !!

Scotcash is ok just don't like waiting for a decision

Scotcash is ok. I've had a loan with them since April. So I applied for another one on 6th August. Where I had to send a electronic bank statement. That didn't work for some reason so had to send 8 weeks worth individually using PDF. Two Weeks later and I'm still waiting to see if I can get the loan or not. first time I applied it was so straight forward. As I had a answer right away. I understand they must have loads of applicants but its not really professional leaving people waiting. Not impressed this time.
