I think the quality and style were…

I think the quality and style were really good but unfortunately, the item was faulty. My first order with S&S and the bomber jacket was stitched in such a way that I couldn't get my left arm through it. Really disappointed. Returning was easy enough but still waiting for a refund!

Terrible fit, terrible returns policy, terrible retailer

I would give them zero if I could. Considering this is a self professed 'premium' brand with only one retail store in the UK, it's already bad enough they don't have free postal returns for online orders. Even worse under the current circumstances when said one store is closed, so absolutely all of their trade has to be online. It's bizarre that any retailer thinks it's acceptable to charge £7.50 for returns postage.

The situation is made even worse by the average quality of the clothes. The fit of the jeans I ordered (full RRP £135) was absolutely awful, on par with mass produced high street fast fashion, i.e no fit and clearly not designed by anyone with real skill (ironic for so called 'Amsterdam couture'). A real shame as a lot of the clothes look really nice online, but I will never be ordering from them again.

A fantastic in-store shopping…

A fantastic in-store shopping experience at Scotch & Soda, Westfield Carindale.

I was buying a gift for my wife for Mother's Day and your Team member, Angel not only gently drew information about my wife - her size, style preferences and wardrobe - from me, but then directed me to quite a few options and possible accessories.

We eventually chose a shirt which my wife loved and she wore on Mother's Day. Angel also suggested I check out the Men's area for myself.

Overall, a delightful experience!

Website / Brand Transparency

Website / Brand Transparency

Retailers should be mandated at Check Out to display return fees, if applicable, particularly if significantly above market average which this is at c£7. Because the brand is not upfront about the cost it provides sufficient deterrent against using the brand or online purchasing (unless you live near a store for free returns)

Sizing is also disappointing because it is not consistent

Solid service

No issues across 3 orders made before and during the lockdown period.

Took advantage of their sale recently and delivery was prompt and items well packaged.

You can never get the same pair of…

You can never get the same pair of jeans twice, If you find a pair you like and want to find another (if they haven't already massively changed the design) the second pair is never the same. For instance, I wanted to replace my beloved Grey jeans (i own 6 other pairs but the grey ones are my favorite) so i bought another pair. They must have changed the way they stretch because the new pair constantly feel sticky, like wearing damp jeans. I'm no longer willing to take a £100 gamble on these jeans, Which is a real shame.

Like others prior

Like others prior, their SIZING is so VERY MUCH OFF. My shirts to knit are all different sizes. PACKAGE & DELIVERY, clothes are just pilled in. Also very difficult and OLD LABORIOUS METHOD FOR RETURNS - Which YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR. What I found interesting was the discounts. I monitored their 10% initial discount and screen shot some items at check out. Over the coming days, the DISCOUNT increased, but interestingly, so did their items initial cost. CONCLUSION: at 50% DISCOUNT, the items actually cost more then when at 10% discount. FUNNY - I was at their local store and one of the items (currently at $85; when at 10%, was $67.98) was $39 at the store. My DISCOUNT was 10%, upon calculation I got 9.13%. I returned some items due to SIZING and also poor quality. Achieved a refund, but they failed to pay back the GST component. GO FIGURE!
NEVER AGAIN would I bother with such a brand and site = Unsubscribed, REPORT TO ACCC and ATO

Charging for returns

Clothes are nice but the company doesn’t offer free returns. If you order online and want to return via courier, you have to pay over £7 and they deduct it from your refund money. It’s either that or take back to the shop. Not convenient or customer friendly at all. Sizing is a bit odd too - you could be a different size across different products, for example an M top, S jacket and 2 different jeans sizes fit me ok too. This makes it more difficult to buy online as you can’t be sure if the size is ok for you or not.
2 stars for charging customers for returns, clothes are very cool though.
