Everything was amazing!
The service from staff was incredible from before the visit began, during and after - could not fault it! The facilities were amazing, and equipment was all safe and well looked after. The activities themselves were well planned and incredibly fun for the children.
Very good staff
Staying on site was fine BUT paying for it, not good this year
Staying on site was fine - good experience all round BUT paying or adjusting numbers last minute was a nightmare. Dealiing with children (Duke of Edinburgh Award) there are always going to be times when one or two children are eitehr ILL or just don't turn up. We are self reliant - just borrowing the camping space - nothing else. Yet there was NO flexability built into the system to just 'print out' another invoice when i arrived on site this year. Past year's - that is what has happened but NOT this year. The automated system doesn't read replies to invoice emails such that (in my expeerience this year), the emails became more and more threatening even when i had replied to them, saying that ' a cq was in the post' etc. I would much prefer to have a conversation with a person rather than a PC. That, and more flexability in terms of actual attendance on the day rather than proposed attendance 3 months before the camping date, in order to secure a site. NB: After contacting the site by telephone, all (hopefully) was sorted, but, waste of my time ref: the above two points, in writing an email(s).
Great campsite
We had an amazing summer camp with our scouts for a week, the facilities are excellent (including a whole new shower/toilet block). The staff were amazing, even the scouts commented on how nice the international activity instructors were!
Fantastic stay once again in the lodge
Fantastic stay once again in the lodge. Well equipped , clean and right in the heart of the activities. Love the upgrades around the site and great new activities to book. Staff lovely, happy to help with any questions
Excellent experience at Broadstone…
Excellent experience at Broadstone Warren. Organising the trip was made much easier due to flexibilty and options offered which made payments from parents so easy. Staff were so helpful in booking process and fantatastic on site too. Facilities were great (we stayed in tent village) and catering was spot on. Nothing too much trouble and the students had a great time with the activities. Will definitely return!
An excellent site as always
As always the staff on site are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They were very attentive when asked to ring across a couple tables to our camping area and the shower / toilet block was very clean and well cared for. We’ll see you again next year!
We had a great time in the Tented Village
We had a great time in the Tented Village at Broadstone Warren. The kitchen and dining areas were great as were the size of the bell tents. Plenty of room for the cubs and Scouts. The young people thoroughly enjoyed the zip wire and abseiling.
Cub/Scout Summer Camp 2025
Lovely staff, beautiful location, would have liked more goes on activities for time allocation, as young people get bored if they only go on a zip wire once in a 90 min session. Tented village needs to ensure tent zips in working order and that the kitchen facility has a sink.
We had a fantastic stay in the Broadstone Warren Lodge. We were blessed with fantastic weather…
We had a fantastic stay in the Broadstone Warren Lodge. We were blessed with fantastic weather and so were able to spend the majority of our time outside, enjoying the facilities and activities on offer. Our only criticism would be that the main hall of the lodge is very bare, so when 20+ Scouts are inside for any length of time, it gets very loud. The room could really benefit from something on the walls to absorb some of the sound.
Beautiful site, amazing activities
Close to nature, the camp sites are stunning. The toilet and shower facilities were reliable and clean. The activities on offer are wide ranging and the instructors great with the young ones.
Its a great place for a residential
Its a great place for a residential. The site is fantastic, with lots of activities available. The staff come from round the world which really adds to the experience!
Easy to book
Easy to book, slightly slow to respond. Friendly and welcoming staff at the site. Good facilities.
Good but surprised that nearest toilet block was closed
It would have been nice for the site to have the nearest toilet block to us open when we arrived rather than us having to ask for it - the site was a good 10-15 minute walk from the nearest open block. Too far. But, to be fair, the block was reopened quickly after our request.
As again fantastic place and lovely…
As again fantastic place and lovely staff so very helpful
Broadstone is a truly lovely place .
Our Beaver Scouts had a fantastic day…
Our Beaver Scouts had a fantastic day at Broadstone Warren and loved the Low ropes activity. Amber and her team were so helpful and welcoming. Many Thanks
don't listen to dietary requirements…
don't listen to dietary requirements and the catering staff were rude
Cub camp
The setting is incredible. We used the tented village for Cub pack. It has a well equipped mess tent with benches and tables. Excellent toilet facilities are not too far away.
The range of activities is fantastic and the Cubs enjoyed theirs and overcoming the challenges.
The down side - several tents were out of commission due to broken tent zips - they are not robust enough. The kitchen oven could do with a deep clean.
Summer Camp - Great friendly and helpful staff
Great friendly and helpful staff. The activities were all excellent. Modern, clean toilets and showers. Large enough site to be isolated if you wanted to be.
