Extremely disappointing experience with SCS. I placed my order over 4 months ago, with an estimated delivery date of 24th April. Just a few days before, I received an email saying the sofa had arrived at their center and I needed to make full payment—which I did immediately, trusting the information provided.

Then, suddenly, I was told that the sofa is now delayed again, with no clear delivery date in sight. This is completely unacceptable. It feels like SCS is lying to customers, taking full payments with no intention of fulfilling orders on time.

There’s been no real accountability, no urgency, and no compensation for the stress, inconvenience, and wasted time they’ve caused. I deeply regret choosing SCS and would strongly urge others to think twice before buying from them. This level of service is unprofessional, and frankly, it feels like they’re taking advantage of people.

Didn’t follow us around pressuring us to buy something. Was helpful and thoughtful for what we said we was looking for

Should be in Rip off Britain . Best thing I’ve learned from my experience with this company is never pay whole amount in cash etc . At least with a credit card you have some assurance

We came in to look for a new sofa. We were advised by Cathy, in the Oldham store. We found her to be very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. With her advice, we found a sofa which we both liked. A credit to the company.

Visited the Elk Mill ScS store today & was greeted by Joanne. She was friendly, warm & unobtrusive. She briefly explained the best deals & then allowed us to browse freely. Joanne was on hand if we had any queries & then once we had selected a sofa, she was most helpful in finalising the details without being pushy.
The other staff dotted around the store were friendly also.
We had been putting off as long as we could purchasing a sofa but Joanne & staff made a dreaded task into a stress free & easy accomplishment.
We had looked at another store prior (not out of name but more because it was a little nearer) but they didn't capture what we had in mind. Turned out that ScS actually have a better range & wider colour schemes of what we were after & they felt more 'solid & comfortable.

We had a great result at your Oldham branch a few days ago. Your staff member Beverley was a dream to do business with, very knowledgeable about your products nothing to much trouble. Wrap her in cotton wool as staff like her are hard to find.

Visited the Elk Mill store in Oldham on Wednesday. Approached by Beverley who was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We told her what we were interested in and she pointed out a sofa on special offer that met everything we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for Beverley and we ended up buying the first couch that she pointed out. Thank you Beverley for all your help.

We were greeted by Cathy at Oldham. She was extremely polite and helpful. She took me and my dad to try different sofas to find the perfect match

After a long wait for The new sofas to be made ,the communication about delivery was excellent , we were kept up to date with delivery schedule right up to the day of delivery with a neat tracker for the delivery van. The scs crew that delivered and assembled the sofas were great , really efficient and friendly.

Cannot fault the people who work here at Oldham, every member of staff were friendly and there to help, we were shown around by Cathy, she was very comfortable to be around and we didn't feel pressured to buy in any way. She gave us a quote, and off we went, within 10 minutes we went back and purchased the sofa. Usually you buy something because it's the better item, and it was, but Cathy made the purchase more worthwhile, she was extremely knowledgeable and was professional throughout.
But have to say ALL members of staff were approachable and friendly, would highly recommend.

On arrival at the Oldham branch, we were met by Cathy, I explained what I wanted & that I wouldn't be hassled into buying, I'm one of those customers, she directed me to the sofas that were relevant to me.
Once I was happy and wanted more info she was there to help & advice me on everything...she is an asset to your company you are lucky to have such a wonderful person working for you!! Definitely go back in the future.

I visited today with my partner who decided, spur of the moment, to buy 2 sofas. On the way home he said that, if it hadn’t been for Beverley and her lovely approach, he wouldn’t have gone for it! His review says it all but she really did make his day! I can’t wait for them to be delivered so that I can go round and lounge in luxury on his gorgeous new recliners! Roll on June!!!

My friend had got new sofas from the Oldham SCS branch. I popped in today and got a VIP appointment. The service from Beverley was above and beyond. We sat on a sofa and were left to our own devices to play with the excellent recliners. Great music, air conditioning and we browsed round the whole shop out of interest. Some great deals. We ended up back at the first sofas we had been enjoying. Beverley explained all the details and options that we had. Together with James the manager’s help, we had a mind to rush home to measure my old sofas, the deal and service was just too good. We hot footed it back and I bought 2 gorgeous comfy sofas. Beverley and James gave me a fantastic deal on a lamp and canvas that I liked. Everyone was so so helpful. Beverley even loaded the huge lamp and canvas into our car. If it wasn’t for you Bev we would have just been browsing. So nice to meet an enthusiastic down to earth person. It makes a big difference. Please can you recommend the staff for reward and recognition for all their hard work and uplifting chat. Am over the moon with the new sofas. Thanks so much.
