Warm welcome from the shop assistant. Listened professionally but at the same time helped me in finding the perfect sofa and armchair required. Especially for my need being disabled. Would also like to thank Poltrona'sofa for allowing my little dog on the premises. Would recommend.

Very warm welcome from Ian, allowed us to browse shop without feeling pressure. Eventually when felt ready Ian was very knowledgeable and helped me to pick the style and colour of the couch I was interested in, also got an affordable deal. Whole process from start to finish was stress free, all staff were lovely in shop, great vibes.

We were welcomed by a lovely salesman who I think was called David at the SCS store in Birkinshaw.
He allowed us time to browse and explained the sofa colours etc once we decided to purchase.
It was a pleasure to visit this store and we're looking forward to our new sofas

As soon as we walked through the door, Andrew was there to greet us with a friendly smile, gave us all the information we needed to navigate the store, offered tea, coffee or water whilst we browsed even sat down engaging us in conversation outside of sofa shopping. He wasnt pushy like other salesmen in other stores, made us feel comfortable and welcome. We left after choosing a few sofa's we liked and went back a few days later. We appreciated Andrews good customer service that we requested to deal with him directly and left the store that day with a brand new sofa. Quality of product 10/10, ticked all our boxes and more. Would 100% recommend Andrew to anyone looking to purchase a sofa from Poltronesofa. Customer service second to none.

1 visited both Uddingston and the branch at thr Fort, Glasgow. I bought a sofa in both shops and was delighted that the sofa from Uddingston was,delivered in days as it was old stock. Unfortunately I'm having to wait until July for the sofa ordered at the Fort to arrive ( ordered in March ) . My husband died in March and I am trying to decorate our house in memory of what he was trying to achieve. Apart from the wait everything went well including pleasant, helpful staff in both branches.

We are absolutely furious with the shocking service we’ve received. I have taken time off work and rearranged my schedule multiple times for deliveries that never showed up. Our sofa was scheduled for delivery several times in one day, and each time I waited around for nothing. No proper updates, no clear communication — just constant changes and empty promises. It’s completely disrespectful of a customer’s time.

After waiting 11 weeks, I was then told the company doesn’t even know where the sofa is and suggested I place a new order instead. That is completely unacceptable. How does a company lose a customer’s order and think starting over after nearly three months is a reasonable solution?

The lack of organisation, accountability, and basic customer service is unbelievable. This has been an extremely frustrating and stressful experience from start to finish. No customer should have to chase a company for weeks only to be told their order has essentially disappeared.

Sort out your delivery system, communication, and customer service. This has easily been one of the worst purchasing experiences I’ve ever had.

The delivery team were curteous and kept in touch before delovery. They took care and time to constuct the suite and ensured that everything was fine.

Been waiting for my sofa to be delivered since 17th of December. I payed in full before delivery with the added insurance plan. Two failed deliveries and missing parts on the third attempt. I’ve sent letters, emails, and called multiple times a week for months now only to be told I would get a call back and nothing ever results. My wife is pregnant and I’ve had to take days off work on the delivery dates which ended up not being delivered anyway. What is actually going on? This company operates shockingly and I am now considering escalating the issue through the courts or bank to just get a full refund.

We bought 2 sofas from SCS Uddingston in February 2022 and were sold a cover for the sofas with the sofas. We paid £355 for the sofa cover protection. We had an accidental spill on one of our sofas and made a claim directly with Castelan Furniture Warranty. Castelan have tried their very best not to accept our claim. Most people will and have left negative reviews for Castelan Furniture Warranty but don't realise that 'SCS' were the ones who sold you the customer this Warranty. When you buy anything from SCS, they'll say many positive things about a so called insurance. SO BE AWARE, DON'T BUY A COVER PROTECTION FOR ANY PRODUCT FROM SCS. You'll regret it. I hope to make every customer aware of this Castelan Furniture Warranty companies known bad reputation on every SCS reviews.

Castelan are known to disappoint. Castelan customer service is one of the worst.

Kept fully updated with delivery expectations, then on delivery day, given initial time slot, which was then shortened & verified by drivers.
They were very professional in ensuring proper set-up, overall very good from start to finish.

No pressure to purchase when browsing in store. Helpful staff. Straightforward steps to order in store once you've decided which sofa etc. suits your needs (and budget).

Delivery emails and texts give a good indication of your delivery window. Only downside is no updates on delivery tracker once your delivery window time has passed. Would be helpful to know if the delivery crew are delayed.

Delivery crew were fantastic. Polite, tidy and clearly well accustomed with setting up the furniture and checking everything is in working order.

I was kept informed when my delivery would be. I was given a time slot the day before. Thst morning I was given a more accurate time slot. The guys then called that morning aswell. They were on time. They were friendly and professional.
I would definitely recommend this company.

i could honestly not recommend enough that you stay away from SCS. The aftersales is shocking, delivery delays and miss sold info is the worst i have ever seen. Currently waiting on my couch being delivered today 8 weeks after the date i was given and have zero confidence it will arrive as it was supposed to come yesterday!

So after writing a review about how bad the service we have received has been, we were told the couch would be collected on the 06/02/26 however since it’s now the 09/02/26 with the couch still not being collected. If tomorrow we still have the couch it will be left outside, 2 days I have waited in for this to be collected with loss of work with no phone call to say someone is or is not coming to collect it. We are done!
