I recently bought a light online, it was delivered quickly and I just wanted to say I was very pleased with it. it looks really lovely, and is very good quality for the price. thank you i will definitely purchase your brand again.

I had a small issue with a light , I spoke to David Haigh in sales and I can not speak highly enough of how you helped me, you are a credit to your company. Thank you!

I want to express my deep disappointment regarding a failed
delivery attempt today. I had been
eagerly awaiting my parcel, as it
contained a crucial light fitting
needed for an installation.
However, to my frustration,
received a message stating, "Sorry
we missed you"- despite the fact
that I was home the entire time!

Please let me know how you intend
to rectify this situation?
To ensure there was no
nisunderstanding, I checked my
CCTV footage, which confirms that
no DPD van approached my
property at any point. No attempt
was made, and yet my delivery was
marked as failed. This has caused
a great deal of inconvenience, as I
had an electrician booked
specifically for this afternoon to
install the light, and now l'm left in
a difficult position.

Ordered a light from the range and it arrived with a broken shade annoyingbut sortedprettyquick,now we have now ordered the matching ceiling light from robert dyas and it's only arrived with 8 shades instead of 9 ! They told us to wait 12 days for a resolution which I thought was a ridiculously long time, that's come and gone and now I'm told to wait even longer, how long does it for a short conversation and resolvment between these 2 companies, I feel like I'm getting the run around ,we've bought from this company twice now and both times had problems and we are stuck with an installed light with missing parts and nobody is helping!!

Amazing customer service! I had unfortunately broken the top glass in our Mother & Child lamp but was reluctant to throw it away even though we’ve had it for years - it has fulfilled our lighting needs since 2008! I spoke to Carol Costello in Searchlight’s sales department & was immediately reassured that, despite the lamp having been replaced by a newer model, Carol would be able to source a replacement glass for us. She did this immediately & it arrived two days later. Carol was friendly, polite & professional throughout, well done & thank you, Trish Dowling, Liverpool.

Very rude manager. I bought a light and collected it from the collection counter. After checking the specifications, I realized it was not what I needed. I went back to the sales manager, Steve, to return it, but he refused. He compared it to taking a taxi and asking the driver to bring you back because you changed your mind. Within five minutes, I ended up wasting my money on something I don't need.

I had a problem with a floor lamp which was out of guarantee and rang Searchlight Electric. Spoke to David Haigh, who was extremely helpful and solved my problem straight away, without the need for a replacement part. Altogether a painless experience and David is a credit to the company.

Very rude customer service that clearly does not know their own products. Huge red flag, do not buy.

I bought a lovely light from the range and i had a problem with it , they weren’t very helpful. It turned out it was from searchlight. I phoned them direct and spoke to a lovely man called Dave. He was so helpful and friendly and resolved my issue. I needed a small part replaced and as promised it arrived within 2 days! Can’t fault you at all. Well done!

On the 25/10/23 we had a terrible experience at the showroom of Searchlight in Manchester. We have bought lighting directly from this company in the past without any problems.
We are about to embark on a major project in our house and our electrician told us to come to searchlight to get our lighting and accesories.
On arrival we checked with the receptionist that we were still able to buy as we would in a retail shop and she told us yes and that the person in the showroom would help us with any queries.
We spent approximately 90 mins in the showroom choosing our lighting. The person in the showroom was disinterested and not very helpful. He kept disappearing off the floor. When we were ready to order we waited 10 minutes for him to reappear. He then told us we were not allowed to buy directly and he was doubtful that our electrician had ever bought from them, because Searchlight only dealt with people like City electrics. When we told him that the receptionist told us we could buy, he challenged our honesty. He obviously didn’t want to engage with us and we were left very frustrated that we had wasted our time and we had no way of buying the products we wanted.
It makes us question why there is such an extensive showroom that this open to non trade people, yet we are not allowed to buy directly, has the companies policy changed ?

Recently purchased two Searchlight wall spots for my son's bedroom. On arrival the exterior on one of them was scratched and the other had a funny bubbling effect over it. I contacted the company I purchased them from and they offered a replacement or a refund, I've opted for the latter. I've purchased many lights from various suppliers over the last few months for our new build house, I have to say these are really poor quality in comparison. Very cheaply produced and I doubt very much if they'd withstand the normal daily usage that you would expect. If you can afford to increase your budget just a bit then look elsewhere as ultimately it will cost you less in hassle and money in the long run!

I had a problem with a light and the shop where I bought it from was no longer trading , I contacted searchlight direct and spoke to David , he was very sympathetic and sorted a replacement out which I received the next day! Can’t thank you enough.

Bought various products from here from an indulgent table lamp for the lounge, to matching bedside lamps and some rattan shades. All have been excellent quality and all have received compliments and questions on where they were from !! I'm a long list of wishes, which I'll hopefully review in the future, especially a gorge chandelier I have my eye on. Ahead of the curve on trend and quality, can't be beaten
