They sent the wrong product. Left with no response after asking to resolve the issue.

I purchased a SeeedStudio synth module, but received a camera module instead. I asked a refund or exchange after receiving the wrong product from SeedStudio. Customer support is ghosting all channels, email, chat support,... name it. After 10 days of trying, I get no response on how I can exchange the wrong item for the right one.
I ordered all my items from the German EU shop, hoping this would give me the least trouble, but turns out to be wishful thinking.

Poor return policy

Delivery was ok and fast but ... product did not perform as expected, so I asked for a refund. Not possible, simply because the item had already been used, as stated by Customer Service.

In the early days of web shopping this was a common 'web shop attitude' but later forbidden by EU law. A customer has the right to test the item and return it in case it does not perform or does not meet expectations (with the item in original state and packaging). After all, such a device can be reset and is not a consumable.

WoW Seed Studio Stink

WoW, wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering from these clowns. Ordered RPI CM4 a week ago have asked for order/shipping status 3 times and no response even though it's supposed to ship from US warehouse and to me in US. Last and only time I purchase anything from them.

I purchased a reSpeaker AI Kit on…

I purchased a reSpeaker AI Kit on Saturday and cancelled it a few minutes later. The purpose of the cancellation was to purchase with expedited shipping. Instead today I get an e-mail today that they cannot cancel my order and that I will be charged 13% to return the product. I find it very disheartening to be treated in this way as a customer. I would warn anyone against purchasing from this vendor as they have very unsavory tactics to sell their products.

At the time, your order had already been uploaded to our overseas warehouse's packing system and could not be automatically canceled, so the package was ultimately shipped. Please note that the overseas warehouse is a third-party facility we lease, which does not accept return processing. As a result, the product had to be returned to China. This situation arose due to deficiencies in our return policy at the time — you should not have borne any of the associated costs.
Since last October, we have fully improved our policy: for any returns resulting from system failures to cancel orders, we will bear all related costs — customers will not be exposed to any risk. In addition, orders valued under 500 USD can now be returned to our overseas warehouse.

no tech support, no customer service

This company sells computer hardware. I purchased Home Assistant to bridge by Ring cameras to my Apple Home Kit. When I got the unit up and running on my own because there is zero tech support I did get the cameras to show in a little dashboard, however when you click on them they lose connection. I tried tech support throughout their community help page on Facebook, and I was laughed out of the room! I've had the unit a little over a week, and had to dispute my charges on Paypal and they finally got back to me and said they weren't going to give me a refund. Said it was a user error. First of all it's been a week second of all it didn't work And lastly if I had to purchase this through Amazon it would already be on in the mail on its way back! horrible customer service stay away!

Damn, what a bad shop

Seeed Studio offer's pretty cool hardware for your smart home. I ordered a set of epaper display, epaper driver board and fitting ESP32-C3 from them. epapers shipped from China, the rest from Germany. After fiddling around with it, I had to find out, that I either had defect epaper, or ESP32 and driver board. From their perspective it's the cheapest, hence ESP32 and driver board, which they wanted to send me.
After 3 weeks of waiting, I started issuing a paypal claim and out of the sudden the replacement hardware is shipping.
Still my epaper display's are the problem, as also with the original ESP32 driver board from Waveshare these displays are not getting to work.
Don't waste your money on them, if you're unsure to receive working parts. Btw. if you read their site thoroughly, all parts must be returned to china on own cost!!!

These guys are lying thieves

These guys are lying thieves; I've ordered a home assistant yeloow, and cancelled the day after in the morning. (website stated i could cancel as long the order was in processing).. An hour later i received a mail, instead of my cancellation it stated that the order was shipped. After contacting them and explaining there was something wrong; They just said, i should keep it or send it back to china with a 13% surcharce tax and shipping fee..(it shipped from germany by the way) Or i should refuse the shippment, that would mean stay at home from work to refuse the package. Never in my life have I experience such unproffesional behaviour with an onlne shop .. If you are in europe or usa DO NOT ORDER from these guys

Extremely opaque return policy, international returns make refunds unreasonable

I ordered a product worth €70, but canceled the order before it was shipped. Despite this, the item was still sent out.

When I requested a return, I was told:
I have to return the item at my OWN expense to CHINA, even though it was shipped from a GERMAN warehouse (This is not stated anywhere on their website).

The return must include a tracking number, increasing the cost to at least €30.
They told me to declare a very low value (5 USD) to avoid Chinese customs fees which they would deduct from my refund.

After all deductions, I would only be refunded $54.78 (about €48), meaning over 30% of the original price is lost, even though the item is unused and unopened.

Nowhere during the purchase process was it made clear that returns must be shipped to China at the buyer’s cost. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. The return conditions are buried in email threads after purchase, not visible before buying.

Return only possible to China

Customer pays for all return shipping and risk

Refund heavily reduced by unclear extra charges

I do not recommend buying from Seeed if you expect any kind of fair or manageable return policy. Once you’ve placed an order, you’re basically stuck with it—even if you cancel it right away.

They did not ship order, if you try and cancel thet delay and don't give you a full refund.

Not sure what has happened to this company but I would avoid.

Never recieved item

placed order, per website order would be shipped within a few days. a week went by still processing. I contacted seeed, it took them 3 days to respond, they lied and provided a tracking number that didnt work and said it had already shipped. Then no updates no communication. my order page still said processing so i reached out again and they said the package was lost and no inventory for 2 months. they only said something after me reaching out. Terrible communication and dishonesty. I dont think anything was ever sent. avoid this company.

Nothing is special about this product…

Nothing is special about this product and I question its legitimacy.. Once you order you better watch that account, they start doing re-occurring charges and not sending any product... ITS A SCAM out of southern California of all places.

Extremely Frustrating and Inefficient After-Sales Process

I am deeply disappointed with Seeed Studio's after-sales service. I purchased their HA ZBT-1 device in September, which turned out to be defective. While I appreciated their announcement of a replacement program, the actual process has been nothing short of a nightmare.

After following all their instructions—submitting a ticket, providing the order number, and sending photos of the defective product—I was repeatedly asked to fill out the ticket again and again. Despite weeks of back-and-forth emails, they claim they cannot locate my information even though I’ve provided everything multiple times.

What’s most frustrating is that the responses from their support team feel robotic and lack accountability. There’s no sense of urgency or ownership, and I keep getting the runaround with no resolution in sight.

At this point, it feels like they are intentionally avoiding replacing the defective product.

I would strongly caution anyone considering a purchase from this company to be aware of their poor customer service and unreliable after-sales support.

Bad experience with defective hardware

Web site is ok and shipping was fairly prompt. But you better hope that whatever hardware you receive isn't defective. Their support will make you jump through hoops blaming your setup and/or the software. I complied with their requests and submitted fairly conclusive proof that the hardware board was defective. It became clear that they were not going to replace the hardware no matter what I submitted as proof. This was a $20 product and not worth hours of my time. So, they win. I tossed the board in the trash and moved on. Will never order from them again.

Seeed Studio Waterblock

I purchased a water block for a raspberry pi 5. It was and still is advertised as having G1/4 threaded ports. As I have been water cooling for nearly 25 years, I have a lot of excess parts and was interested in watercooling a cluster of pi's. I purchased 2 of these blocks and gathered the rest of the parts for the system. Once received, I removed the original barbs and immediately noticed they were not G1/4. They were actually G1/8. I sent an email to support with a picture of the G1/4 fitting I owned next to the original fitting supplied. They replied that the ports should be a standard G1/4 (which is why i purchased them) and referred me to the installation wiki and if I had further issues to send pictures. I don't need a wiki to screw in a fitting that is too large for the thread its intended for. Also asked me to send pics if I had further issues, which I had already done with my initial support request. Postage was extremely fast. China to Australia in 1 business day. But their lack of support and clear error in advertising is disappointing.

XIAO nRF52840

Are you interested in exploring the world of microprocessors and BLE communications? Well the Seeed Studios XIAO nRF52840 is not the way to go. Like many other Chinese manufactures, the electronics are sound and have great results in past however, their failure to keep the hardware drivers and software libraries up to date have rendered the product useless for the beginner. Trying to use the product today in the Arduino IDE is nothing short of heart wrenching frustration as the simplest program won't compile due to out of date libraries. Save your money. Use a non Seeed Studio device.

Purchased a "plug and play" mmwave…

Purchased a "plug and play" mmwave presence sensor. Followed instruction on their website couldn't get it to work. Asked tech support via email how to get it working, provided logs, detailed description of problem and screen shots. Week later got response on how it is supposed to work not how to fix it. Resent email a week ago no response. If you read prior complaints you will see a trend. They have no intention of supporting their product or worse don't know how. If you purchase from them don't complain if you don't get support. Enough people here have warned you

False advertising & no support SCAMMERS

They sold me a "plug and play" device. They would not allow returns or refunds, once you get it you quickly learn its not even close to a plug and play device! Thier support is by far the worst I've ever tried to deal with I now have a $400 paperweight because I'm not a computer programmer. They are a rip off stay as far away from them as you can! SCAMMERS
