Great quality digital telescope

I bought a Seestar s30 for my boyfriend for Christmas. We have taken very clear photos of the moon and stars. We are excited to take photos of nebulas and the moon on special occasions. The quality is fantastic and it’s great that it works in colder temperatures. We live in the suburbs so light pollution was expected, but we found that to not be an issue with this telescope.

Fees ain't included.. watch out!

Below you can read both emails after claiming for having to bear 200 additional dollars... and they just refused to refund anything... blaming on taxes in my country!

Dear Betty I was appealed by the price.. and it turned out to be 40% more expensive independently of your explanation, the truth it’s that I just realized about the possibility of fees when I received the order notification, before it wasn’t obvious at all… probably it’s explained somewhere in your website but not clear enough in the shown price.. so it’s very tricky… I am sure you get many claims related.. that should be warned in the displayed price.

I would appreciate if you could refund 100 dollars, since taxes in Spain are 21% and I am being charged around 40% which is very upsetting…

The money should be refunded back to my credit card and not a coupon! If you want a good review and a satisfied customer do it… otherwise I assume this pricing strategy is bad faith strategy and I will have to post bad reviews.

Thanks for your understanding.

Their response of copy and paste:

We know finding additional tax fees can feel like an unwelcome surprise, therefore we have stated that the recipient is responsible for the taxes/duties. And also inform this in the order confirmation. Maybe you did not notice that, we regret that this has influenced your experience.
Please know we value your business deeply, and your satisfaction matters greatly to us. While customs duties and taxes are determined by your local government’s regulations (not our company), we want to support you in any way we can: if you have questions about how the tax amount was calculated, we’re happy to provide documentation to assist you in verifying it with your local customs authority.
