After three failed attempts to produce a ring of satisfactory quality I will no longer consider doing any future business with Segal nor recommend them. Instead I have opted to take a considerable monetary loss on my ruined Segal engagement ring and purchase an entirely different ring from a reputable business.

My wife owns jewelry from various designers but nothing nearly as feebly constructed as the rings received from Segal which would break just as soon as look at them. Segal is exceptional in this area since two of their rings were quickly broken. The first ring broke a prong within a few months. The owner Yaniv claims he doesn’t fix prongs and would make a new ring. Odd but ok. However the new replacement ring broke irreparably at one of the accent stone settings within days of its return!

If that wasn’t bad enough the fact that one of the times Segal shipped our ring back to us it was missing stones! I was already questioning the quality of the brand by that point but sending a ring missing three very obvious accent stones then left me with zero confidence in their quality control and made me wonder how much they actually care about their overall workmanship.

I dislike dealing with the owner who when first bringing the defective workmanship to his attention initially insinuated that the defects were due to the wearers “wrong handling” and asked for payment to repair the ring until pressed that out of all the rings owned by us its only his unknown brand that have these issues. The owner had attempted to resolve these problems but after three times we’ve had enough and are getting off this merry-go-round.

Sadly in order to put and end to the embarrassment of having my wifes engagement ring break so easily and save myself the frustration that has come from taking a chance on this unknown brand all because the setting was unique and looked nice I had to start over with an entirely new ring from a different designer.

Hopefully no one else will have the same experience we’ve had dealing with this company. I removed my previous review while the owner was trying to resolve the issues but this one will stand as we’ve no more patience to spare on Segal. And as an extra courtesy to Yaniv I’ve not left this review until after my wife has been wearing her new non-Segal ring for well over a month without any issue just so we can eliminate “wrong handling” as a factor and clearly say it was your workmanship all along.

Yaniv was able to get us a great price on a black diamond engagement ring that we ultimately didn't buy, but he did do a lot for us, and the diamond he showed us was beautiful. While we did find a better deal elsewhere, we can definitely recommend working with Yaniv.
