Great price, great furniture.

Hi I received my furniture fine it's a great product I don't know what is going on now but order my furniture a year ago had no issues at all. The best price that you can possibly get on commercial furniture it's held up great and I am very pleased with the produc.

Paid for furniture, never delivered, company ceased to operate, no refund

I ordered and paid for patio furniture in Aug. In late Sep. a company rep said the shipment was late arriving from China, but was due in soon. In late Oct. I was informed the shipment had arrived and my furniture was with a carrier (R + L Carriers) for delivery in the next 4-5 days. In early Nov., a company rep informed me that due to financial problems, the company had gone out of business and my order cancelled. I received an email from Select Furnishings relaying the same info and telling me they were unable to process a refund. Using TrustPilot's terms for the lowest rating, this was a "very bad - unacceptable experience."

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!

I placed and order on - Date/Time: 29-Sep-2014 6:09:09 PDT
Transaction ID: 6534427410. After several follow up's with a guy named (name) I finally received my furniture on November 10th but that required me to track my order all the way to the distributor to coordinate getting (name) and (name) from the distributor on the phone together in order to get my order processed. Until that time which was 5 weeks after my order was placed the distributor didn't even have my order on record. So the whole time I was being told it was on back order was a lie. In addition, I was told they would credit back the shipping charges of $325 to my credit card several weeks ago for the inconvenience and after several calls about that I still haven't seen the credit post to my account. Finally, after waiting nearly 7 weeks for my order to come in it didn't come with the mushroom colored covers I ordered. We purchased the mushroom covers for an additional $150 and as of today December 3rd I don't have them. I had to dispute the entire amount with my credit card company and opened a formal complaint with Visa over this matter. I also have proof of purchase and all email I received from them. Last time I spoke to the rep was the week before Thanksgiving and the excuse he gave me for why I didn't have my cushion covers was because they lost the key to the storage unit where they stock the covers. Now when I call the support number it rings several times and hangs up with an automated "good bye" response. In addition, any of the reps, (name), (name) and (name) I have contacted over this are not returning my email about my order. If this group isn't fraudulent then they are a complete bunch of incompetent people!!!! To bad because from all of the "REAL REVIEWS" I have read they upset a lot of people!!! I took a screen shot of this review because if they take it down I will report them as well for posting fake reviews and removing the legit ones. They keep taking down this review so I have posted this review elsewhere on more reputable review sites.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I researched quite a few sites before making my outdoor furniture purchase, and was originally excited to have found selectfurnishings.com, however my excitement soon turned to nothing but anger and frustration.

When making my original purchase, I actually spoke to a person on the phone. She was very pleasant. There were two questions that I had which were very important.
1. Will you be selling covers for this furniture?
2. Do you offer white glove delivery service? (as my furniture was going up to the roof deck of the three unit walk up)

The answers were:
1. Yes we will, sometime in September. This never happened, they never offered covers.
2. Yes, and because part of your order is back-ordered, we will give you that for free. It is normally $125. – even though this was on my receipt, they stopped offering this service sometime between my purchase and the actually delivery!!

That was only the BEGINNING of the trouble I had. THINGS WENT NO WHERE BUT DOWN HILL FROM THERE. My 4-6 week back-order became 11 weeks. When I called repeatedly, I was told “it will be here in the next two days and will be sent out to you immediately.” I head that comment for OVER 4 WEEKS! At one point I was offered a $200 credit because the order had not come. I asked for another color of cushion covers instead, since that would cost $200 (and it would easier than putting a credit on a credit a credit card that had been cancelled due to fraud). They said they would ship the covers right out – even before my furniture actual order had arrived.

This was all done over e-mail, as they have stopped answering the phones.
The furniture arrived, finally, and the sofa was completely warped (not from weather, but built defectively). I have not received my cushion covers or my $200 refund. I have inquired via e-mail three times. I got one response saying someone would get back to me on a Monday. I have not heard back from him, nor have I received a response to my two other inquiries. NO ONE IS ANSWERING THE PHONE at this company.

While I do finally have my order (even with a warped, defective sofa), I would NEVER EVER do business with this company again, and I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone else does either (regardless of the good prices). You will experience nothing but frustration. It amazes me that they are still in business. BUYER BEWARE!

Great Furniture - Unbelievable Price - Inventory Issues

So first I am a real person. Brad is my name and you can find me at twitter.com/parscale - You never know if people are real reviews!

I was first thinking this place was a scam. I ordered and things went dark. I figured out later these guys were simply overwhelmed by the quality, price and just too many orders. Reminds me of the old UPS advertisement where the internet orders skyrocket and everyone panics because how will you deliver all those orders.

You can see on the site now they are no longer selling items out of stock and my last order from them I received it in 10 days. Now I have it on my patio I am extremely happy.

For all those people leaving bad reviews, I am SO HAPPY I saved thousands off the rip off stores around me, sometimes just relax and do not jump to conclusions. This is nice furniture at a great price. This guy is delivering it at a fraction of the price, give him a break for being overwhelmed. The same reason you love the deal is the same reason things got out of hand for them. My order just a month or so apart is over 500 order numbers apart. That is a ton of furniture!!

I rarely put reviews, but truly this is one of the best deals I have ever purchased on the web. Just wish people were not so quick to try to put bad reviews because they just can't see themselves in the situation. Give these guys a chance, the owner emailed me directly and everything turned out just fine once he had inventory again.

I will be ordering another set soon, I am sold on these guys regardless of the couple month inventory hiccup.

SO SHADY AND TOTAL SCAM -- NOW CALLED MODA FURNISHINGS

First of all, they pay for positive reviews which is why all of the great reviews are vague and show nothing specific about products/services -- because these reviewers never purchased anything!

I recently saw a review that read something like, "I found this company offering to pay for positive reviews on Craigslist but I never received my money." Then the review was changed to something positive afterwards so obviously the check arrived!

Shady company formerly known as Select Furnishings. We ordered furniture in May, received it in August although it wasn't what we ordered. What wasn't damaged was actually well built or appears to be anyway.

However, they claim to use Sunbrella fabric but obviously do not. Fades within weeks and stains on contact. Again NOT Sunbrella although they claim it is.

I contacted them to obtain replacement fabric covers since mine were damaged/destroyed after only 2 months of use but my calls/emails went unanswered. I went back online to TrustPilot and a similar review site and found dozens of 1/5 star reviews/ complaints and discovered they changed their name to Moda Furnishings. DO NOT USE!!! SCAM!!!!!!

BE AWARE!!! DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

If I could, I would give 0 star. We purchased a dining set and a sectional in August. At the time of the order they told me that it would take between 2-3 weeks to get the furniture. After 3 weeks, I contacted them and they told me that it was B-O for another 6 weeks. In October, I called them again and they told me it would ship really soon. After that, nobody answered the phone and it got harder and harder to reach them. When I finally reached them, they told me that they will give refund what we paid because they won't be able to give us what we paid for. Couple of days later, still waiting on my money... they send me this email:
"Select Furnishings has gone through a significant financial issue largely caused by poor quality merchandize manufactured for us in China. We are unable to process your order or issue a refund because of the financial situation the company is now in. In regards to your order, please contact your card company and ask them to remove the charge and process a charge-back. You are completely covered by the credit card chargeback rules. You will suffer no financial loss.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration that this situation has caused."

Oh and by the way, they now operate another website identical but with another name...
DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!!

They admittedly took my money and refused to refund it when they could not fulfill my order!

They held my money for months continually saying "no problem, your patio set will ship by XYZ date." Eventually they admitted they could not fulfill the order and said to expect a credit to my charge card. Guess what never arrived? When I followed up, they said they would not be issuing a credit, that I needed to charge it back through my credit card! That is taking advantage of either the consumer or the credit card issuer. Their sales department is always open but customer service is nearly impossible to reach.

Ordered Sept 22 No Furniture , No working numbers today , Do not order from them.

We ordered furniture on 09/22/2014 order number [Sensitive information]. As of last Thursday multiple calls dialing 45 min at a time getting disconnected on 3 occasions. Spoke with [Names]. Told delay at port and also problem with old delivery company. Assured each time furniture in and will get an email by the end of last week.10/31/2014. Today still no call no email about order and even no responses to emails to customer service both in the US and UK. Numbers will not work when calling today ring and hang up!!!!! Furious !!!! Just don't lie!!!! Calling pay pal cancelling order and getting money back!!! Horrible!!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Shady Company

I reviewed this company back on 11/4/14 and Trustpilot removed it on 11/5/14, requesting supporting information. I provided the purchase order as they requested and my review has not been put back for some reason. I have sent e-mails inquiring about my review with no response. So I'm posting my review again.

I'm in the same situation as the last 2 reviews. I placed my order back on 7/22/14 and was information that the shipment was delayed in customs for 2 weeks, then I was told the container was damaged in customs. They offered me a stand-in set in chocolate for the Reef Rattan London 7 Pc Sectional Sofa Set in MIDNIGHT BLACK that I ordered. They informed me that it would take up to six weeks for the my order to be received from overseas. So I waited! Well I called after the 6 weeks and I was told I would receive a call by 9/26/14 and would receive the furniture by the 30th. When none of that happened I called and was told there was another delay and that the furniture would get to me by October 20th. Again to response, so I called on October 20th to see what happened and I was told they received the container in the Carson Warehouse and that I would receive an e-mail by that Thursday with was the 23rd. Again no communication e-mail or by phone. I have sent 2 or 3 e-mails and called numerous times and there phone appears to have been disconnected. I have contacted the new company name they are going by [External reference] and [Name] does work there, but they just put you on hold and never answer the phone. And now they won't answer any incoming calls again. Maybe a new business name and phone number is in the works. All I want is what I paid for. I have never dealt with a company this shady. Order [Sensitive information]

Since my review on 11/4/14, I did finally get a hold of someone at [External reference] they pulled up my order up [Sensitive information] and saw that I received a shipment of something other then what I ordered. I stated it was a stand-in per there Customer Service Supervisor her name is listed above. And I have an e-mail from her the CS Supervisor in September stating exactly that. He was going to talk to his boss and get back to me the next morning. Well that was the 6th and I never heard back and i can't get through. Im also considering reporting them, as this is wrong on so many levels.

Not sure if its a REAL company

I like the other review ordered mine September 6. They state that it will take 3-5 weeks for delivery but usually less. Five weeks came and there was no email stating any delay so I contacted them. They wrote back that it would be coming in the 15th of October and I have not heard back from them at all. I have emailed 4 TIMES! Contacted them via their contact form and directly. Called and no one answers. The online chat states that because its a "sales" questions they cant answer any of my questions. Luckily I paid with American Express and placed a stop payment. Do NOT purchase from this company.It is not worth your while.Customer Service is non existent as Im sure is this company.

Excellent Customer Service! Great Product!

I was very excited to order my set from Select Furnishings, after seeing the sample pack and reading the rave reviews - I was not diappointed! Received our set, had a bit of damage, but was quickly remedied by Jasmine! Excellent customer service and my family is so happy with the Ibiza set we purchased - I have recommended them to all our neighbors after they saw the set we had. THANK YOU! We are now enjoying our patio space more than ever!

Great service and even better selection!

Give Select Furnishings a call, I found too much choice on the website, but after I called them they were very helpful, helped narrow down my choice with what I really needed and also told me about the best deals and the different delivery times. Very helpful sales team and great service.
