Complete scam
Complete scam. They steal your money, promise to give you a script to lose weight. Give you the smallest amount possible so you have to keep paying the monthly fee of $100 to get anything that will actually help amd then when your insurance finally catches on that you don't have diabetes and stops paying....they say, ok bye, thanks for your money and have a great journey. Total scam. Don't waste your money!
Terrible company to deal with!
The communication from this company is non existent, I had to constantly chase for the return of my deposit which had been instructed by my landlord. They did not return my emails and when they eventually made contact they told me I would have to wait another 7-10 days for the money to be returned. Nearly 4 weeks after my tenancy had ended!
completely abysmal - DO NOT USE
completely abysmal, missed scheduled dates for exchange and completion, cost me over £1000 in same day cancellation fees for my removal team,
caused untold stress and difficluties.
AVOID
AVOID: From a Landlord
Nightmare company to deal with,
Was pleased with William H Browns service.
Sequence homes however are seemingly criminal.
They do not keep their word, terrible communications, claiming I had agreed to terms I hadn't.
Withholding £1000+ of deposit with no right to, months after it is due back.
1/5 ? Dont think so.There should be 0/5!
Isnt there 0/5 as I dont think they deserve the 1 star! 75 days since I moved from rented property in Wellingborough and still havent paid my deposit.Worst thing is begging for my own money!
Shocking service, zero help and complete waste of space
Suppose to be property management, I've email with details of the problem, called 6 times, spoke to 6 different people who have tried to pass it on to other who never returned the call back, my front door lock has broken and I can't leave the house as it doesn't lock, so haven't been able to go to work, this company is suppose to manage this property as I rent, but have no option to use anybody else, disgraceful that places like this are allowed to be given any responsibility
If i could give 0 stars
If i could give 0 stars, believe me i would. Myself and my partner rented a property through WHB Halifax last Spring. On arrival the house as a dump, it hadnt been cleaned, rubbish left in the living room, wallpaper hanging off the walls, no kitchen or bedroom internal doors, and worst of all - no smoke alarms (these are a legal requirement when renting out a home to have them fitted & tested). It took 5 months of constant chasing Sequence to have smoke alarms fitted. After this, we discovered mould and damp in August and when reported were fobbed off. This worsened in October when we reported it again and it took a further 8 weeks to have the inside of the house treated, although we have repeatedly told them the problem is the pointing and rendering and non insulated walls, nobody (even the actual landlady) are interested. We have lost over £2k worth of furniture and personal belongings due to the mould and damp and not one person cares, we have no bed due to the damage, they wont agree to let us out of our contract early and now WHB wont let us rent a different property through them, to get out of the damp and mould ridden one. There is no help whatsoever from anyone at WHB or Sequence and you are passed from pillar to post. I am appalled and ridiculously out of pocket. DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THEM - THEY WILL BREAK THEIR END OF IT BUT WONT LET YOU LEAVE!!!
AVOID
Was approached by them under their brand of William H Brown regarding managing my property portfolio, quoted competitive fee's so said I would give them a try with 1 property to see how it went. Upon going into the office to sign the extras made commercially unviable. Once they realised I was walking out they revised their terms but have sneaked in extras at every opportunity possible. Finally after just a few years I have had enough and they are aware I am moving to another letting agent but have now deducted without consent £300.00 for an 'agreed renewal'! AGREED is the key word as it is something even a fool wouldn't agree to. When you consider they are aware that if they performed well there was a potential for more business from me their arrogant approach to customer care has lost just one property to manage in the short term but a large portfolio in the long term. In addition I buy and sell property all the time (2 - 3/year) and would not use or recommend them either. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!!!
Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague. The first time we used Sequence they had an in-person representative we could work with and everything went smoothly. Remortgaging these last few months has been a nightmare. They have tried to automate everything and as a result, things get missed. They don't care beyond getting you onto a new deal through them. Had to chase to move onto better rates when interest dropped. Hidden charges that aren't explained, just demanded. Can't wait to see the back of them.
Avoid - Seem to have no intention of clearing owed balance
Have spent several months chasing a payment that was owed from Sequence. Despite regular emails and assurances the amount would be paid it seems clear they have no intention of paying back what is owed.
Avoid
Once your in a contract you can't get out even after giving the appropriate notice.
Sequence collected the rent as a service. After agreeing to end this arrangement and giving them 3 months notice they started sending email that the tenant wasn't paying them. Then they continued to bill me for a service they were not longer providing. After numerous phones calls nobody seemed to be able to stop these emails and cancel the arrangement. Im still complaining to them to cancel the arrangement.
Our experience with WH Brown Rentals…
Our experience with WH Brown Rentals was shocking. Upon taking a rental property under the managed scheme, like many tenants, we faced maintenance issues. For example, we lived in a property with an oil boiler. One morning, we awoke to find an issue. Despite informing WH Brown that we used oil, they repeatedly sent gas engineers, eventually stating, "We can't fix it; sort it out yourself." After obtaining the landlord's contact information, it took three days to resolve the issue, leaving us without a boiler during winter. When we requested a hotel due to WH Brown's refusal to address the problem and having young children, we were told, "Sort it yourself; we don't offer that. It's not our problem."
Other reported issues weren't addressed under the management scheme, leading us to contact the landlord directly, who addressed them but requested we not report him to the council due to WH Brown's ignorance. When deciding to leave the house, the situation worsened.
Upon contacting WH Brown, they told our new agent we were in contract and wouldn't be moving. After challenging this, they acknowledged our break clause. Regarding referencing, they claimed 2-3 weeks, which our new agent and the referencing agency found unacceptable, prompting an alternative approach due to WH Brown being labeled as "the most difficult agent I have ever dealt with for absolutely no reason."
Despite three emails, we received the final account balance four weeks later from a company associated with WH Brown. The amount requested was incorrect, and when questioned, they refused to provide clarification. We paid the verified amount as per our contract through a solicitor.
During checkout, we returned the keys, receiving the checkout report seven days later, conducted four days before we received a copy. WH Brown absolved themselves, stating another company handles the deposit. Ten days later, with no information, we've threatened legal action for deposit recovery. WH Brown, when contacted, cited busyness and non-responsiveness to emails. The checkout report showed photographed parcels, which we arranged to have collected by a neighbor. However, they were removed without permission, and we've reported this to the police as theft from WH Brown.
I've never experienced such shocking service from an agent, and it seems we may need to take legal action to recover our deposit. I strongly advise anyone considering renting with WH Brown to think twice. This review is based on a genuinely terrible experience, and we will continue to fight to get our money back, regardless of the legal implications.
For the avoidance of doubt to Trustpilot, Sequence is the management company of WH Brown.
Never buy any property from them
Never buy any property from them. I have recently bought an house at Peterborough. Our agents were WH Brown's Fletton branch. When we visited the property, we have seen all white goods in good condition. We got the key on 29th and all white goods broken. No power no gas. Electricity meter box broken. No light bulbs. When we asked they kept quite like dumb. NEVER EVER BUY PROPERTY THROUGH THEM
Exceptionally Poor Service.
Exceptionally Poor Service.
You get passed from pillar to post. Really incompetent and lazy staff, slow processes and systems. As a landlord I dont have time to chase them continuously for things they should have sorted out weeks ago.
Why on earth would you sub contract our…
Why on earth would you sub contract our buyers conveyancing to a company such as PPL who have a poor record??? Still waiting on completion date which should have been end of July!!
Abysmal
If I could give fewer than a single star, I would. None of the phone numbers on their website connect, both the head office and the local branch contacts do not respond, no matter how many emails, phone calls and voicemails are left. I'm leaving this review in the vain hope that someone might get back to me. It's just rather silly!
Incompetent
Failed to action my instruction to end the tenancy (so they had to extend the contract). Tenant didn't pay at the end but as Sequence say they were "out of contract" they didn't chase payment or deduct it from the deposit. Just to add insult to injury, the tenant took ALL furniture from the flat. So I'm out of pocket twice over and my 'managing agent' didn't manage anything.
It is a thug company
It is a thug company. I never had business with it. For some reason, my tenants' deposit had slipped into their hand. Despite my tenants authorised to return the deposit. They took 30% off the deposit without an explanation. I am fighting with them now. Will take them to court.
Avoid
Avoid! The initial cost we were told got changed and there was added charges that we quested but never really got an honest answer on the costs. Just double your initial quote.
Our estate agent told us to use sequence as they’re part of the company so it would be “an easier transaction” again this is a lie for a bit of commission.
They took forever to get things sorted and needed prompting on a weekly basis. Got told the day before it may not go through after sorting out moving.
Just avoid this company at all costs, bunch of thieving clowns.
So poor experience with them
So poor experience with them. Before peyment was taken, the Sequence Brooker was ringing every day. After payment made, totally change atitute. Lack of communication, no reply, ignoring, waiting forever, lying.
Because not receiving support from broker I made bad mistake pull out from property I was hoping to buy. Always been worrying when problem comes because this broker is not with you when really need.
They change big amount of money for lifetime service. But no service after payment
