Although I did not complete a booking…
Although I did not complete a booking and actually stayed at the premises. I am ONLY commenting about there best price guarantee policy. I forwarded all the information requested by one of the managers and sent the hotel screenshots and a link for price comparison.
Of course they did not have the courtesy to respond, until I called the hotel directly, I spoke to the Asst. Manager who asked me to resend email, which I did. On receipt of the email, I was told that they never heard of edreams.com (apparently edreams have six million members) and she redirected me to the hotel website, which I told her was still far more expensive than the original cost I had forwarded.
So all in all, on this occasion their best price guarantee was not as advertised.
After sending an email advising them, that I will not be booking at the hotel and would write a review about there best price policy. I got a call back almost immediately (first time that happened). She explained the reason for the call was to apologise for any misunderstanding, which was obviously not the case and told her, that the only reason she had called was because, I suggested submitting a review. Please bear in mind, she never bothered calling prior to that even if many messages were left.
It is a shame because it appeared to be a nice hotel, and had quite a few good reviews.
Regarding the way it was dealt with, I would give it a big thumbs down. It is not how a five star or even a half decent hotel should conduct good customer relations or good business practise.
