In all of my 63 years I have never had such excellent service ! I emailed an enquiry , and Lucy messaged back with a few questions and what was our budget and then narrowed it down to a couple of machines . She suggesting we watch her videos about them on UTube. Her videos are excellent! Then we arranged to go to visit her showroom for a demo. We watched her use two similar machines , brand new out of the boxes. As my husband has never ever used one, Lucy, made sure to demo slowly and clearly . We chose one and were able to take it away there and then. There is also an extensive range of extras - different feet etc., and downstairs we were able to wander around and choose threads , needles , cutting boards etc., all of which are top quality . We have since purchased some patterns on-line which arrived in two days - there is a huge range to choose from. I know that in the future , if we have any difficulties, questions etc., or need advice, that we will be able to email and Lucy will get back to us with some help. She and her husband were so friendly and knowledgable and apart from purchasing a lovely machine and accessories, we had a nice visit too. There was no pressure at all to actually make a purchase. The service was faultless .

I know nothing about sewing and I was looking for some advice about an overlocker as a present for my wife. After searching the internet I watched the you tube videos. I still wasn't sure. The video really encouraged a call so I phoned up and spoke to Lucy who explained everything, was really friendly, gave great advice and was really reassuring. My wife is absolutely delighted. I would strongly recommend calling Sew Essential if you need any help. Great customer service!

Outstanding customer service

I recently bought an overlocker from Sew Essential, having watched several of Lucy’s really helpful videos about the machines. The service from start to finish was excellent - really prompt, helpful and friendly. I’d previously bought fabrics and bits and pieces over the years and had always had prompt delivery, so was predisposed to trust the company. The contact over this purchase really showed how great they are. I’d definitely recommend them.

Their customer service and customer care is outstanding and I for one will never look back.
My husband brought me a shiny new Babylock after many tears shed due to failing experiences with another brand.
Vicky and Lucy went out of their way to ensure I received my Babylock this morning even though we only ordered it yesterday. The uk supplier was awaiting delivery, but they pulled out all the stops with Babylock uk to ensure as soon as their shipment arrived into them, I received my machine. This was within 30 minutes of them landing at the uk supplier. Wow what can I say. They could not have done more or gone out of their way if they had tried.
They were friendly and so helpful. I can not praise them enough.
If you want to use a uk company who actually do care about your experience, please give them a try. You won’t be disappointed and you won’t find another sewing suppliers that will do this for you.

This is a company with a difference. My son enquired about the Oliso TG 1600 Pro Plus Iron in Tula Pink. Not only was his question answered, but additional information was supplied to make sure I had the right product. Very quick responses and very quick delivery indeed. Ordered on the 11th December 2025, arrived 12th December 2025, what incredible service. The iron was so well packed and protected. Normally, from other retailers, I have had item in a large box, sliding and bouncing around during the duration of the delivery. The iron itself is absolutely groundbreaking. Excellent steam, beautiful soleplate with a 2 inch recess all round. It takes some getting used to as you don’t have to leave it on its heel in between ironing, just let go of handle and iron rises above the garment. I don’t think I have ever had this level of service and customer care for a long time. Thank you Sew Essential for all your help.

I changed my mind on a product I had bought and rang SewEssential for advice. The response I received went way beyond my expectations. Customer service of any sort these days is in short supply so it is refreshing to find a company who put their customers first. Much appreciated.

Having watched some of Lucy's amazing sewing machine reviews on YouTube, I realised the offer on the Atelier 6 I was interested was about to expire. Although I was in Mexico, Lucy arranged a time for a video chat to advise me on which machine might suit my needs. Great chat, totally unhurried and some really good advice. Machine bought and then delivered after my return. Post purchase help was great, they didn't even tell me to read the manual!

I came across sew essential after trawling through endless sights and reviews for a new sewing machine I have had several disappointments in the past but this company has good reviews and great utube videos of their products so thought I'd give them a try and so glad I did I ordered a janome 5060hdq on Wednesday 12 November and to my suprise I received it the next day so far the machine is great but I think if I have a problem I can rely on sew essential to give me advice great company can't fault the service I received

I made an appointment with Lucy for her to demonstrate a choice of two machines, having spoken to her on the phone previously. She expertly helped me decide and I took home my perfect sewing machine. She made us so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for her. When I arrived home and unpacked the machine, I couldn’t find a certain presser foot. I emailed her, and straight away she told me where to look, and it was there! Fantastic service and knowledge. Sew Essentials customer service is excellent. Lucy provided super advice on buying a new sewing machine. The machine is fantastic and I am loving making clothes for my grandchildren. I also use the sew essential tutorials which provide great advice and sewing techniques.

Customer Service - I can quite honestly say that Sew Essential deliver the most amazing customer service ever - I have been dealing with them since 2022 and its been a total dream!. I placed an order for a Brother 3000 Overlocker and a couple of other things on Saturday and they arrived today - totally amazing - it couldnt have been quicker if they had popped into the boot of one their cars and driven it down here. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they truly care about their customers and customer satisfaction. There are so so many company's that could learn a lot from them. You are a star company - in fact a 10 out of 5 star company and long may you thrive and grow because you surely deserve it.

I am a new customer to sew essential and made an order for ribbon for my wedding. Unfortunately, sew essential did not have the width ribbon I required. This was quickly communicated, I rang the company and spoke to Lucy who was brilliant and offered an alternative to no extra cost to me. Products were delivered one day later. Excellent customer service. Had some item damaged in delivery but they promptly arranged an exchange within a day and the replacement was sent with additional packaging to prevent the same issues happening again.

I've used Sew Essential many times and they offer a great great service. Their response and delivery is super quick and their delivery charges are very reasonable. They are my 'go to' store for anything sewing and I will continue to use them for the great customer service they offer.

Fantastic experience with this company. Having been a sewer for many years, using basic machines, I decided to spend a little bit more and buy a new sewing machine. I made an appointment to call in person for demo with Lucy. This was so helpful. Her advice was invaluable. Reasonable prices, fast delivery and an easy to use website.

Website easy to use. Service excellent. Ordered on Wednesday afternoon, delivered on Thursday morning. Really couldn’t be any better. Will definitely be back for more fabric!
