DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE. NO LONGER OPERATIONAL!

Ordered a skimboard from them back in 2021. Had great contact with the company but the order took time to get to me. My board got trashed in a car wreck and I ordered one in August 2023 to replace it. Tried to contact them multiple times with no response. Eventually found an employees phone number that I'd contacted before who said she'd check on it and email me. Now no contact, will not answer texts or calls. I'm pretty sure they are no longer a company and just took the money and ran.

Excellence all around!!!

Had a WONDERFUL experience with this company. I ordered a skim board online, was a little nervous about some reviews. I have to say my experience was EXCELLENT! Excellent customer service from start to finish! Chris emailed me and let me know every step of the process. It's the most crazy time of year, in the craziest year and for a family owned small business they knocked it out of the park!!!
Exceptional! Will recommend them over and over again!

No communication, suspicious business practices

Placed order, acknowledged. Waited over a week for update, none. Emailed and called, finally got through days later. Told item shipped, but system not updated. Asked if I was saying item didn't arrive. Asked for tracking number. Was advised they wouldn't waste time of I was going to opt for refund. Took the refund, which arrived quickly. Lies and bordering rude customer service. 2nd Star for the quick refund. Read the reviews and make your own decision. Forwarded is forearmed.

EF you chris, this IS NOT a business. DO NOT buy anything from this SCUMBAG!

I bought a bike/roof rack from them on the 12th of June 2019. After 5 days without an email other than PayPal confirmation, I called and left a message. Two days later after NO RESPONSE, I actually got someone on the phone and was TOLD the rack had shipped and that I needed to add their email to whitelist and I would receive the tracking info. I did that and still NO emails. Today the 27th of June 2019 I called again and left a message, after a few hours with NO call back I filled a resolution complaint through PP, in less than an hour I received a full refund. ZERO COMMUNICATION HELD MY MONEY FOR 15DAYS AND THEN REFUND WITHIN MINUTES. So I get nothing and have to pay interest on the $400 charge for 15-18 days. EF you chris, this IS NOT a business. DO NOT buy anything from this SCUMBAG!

ShadeOnMe is a shady business

I, like others here have had a negative experience. Communication is awful. Promises to check on it and then never hear from them. I received the first order and it had hole in the skim board. I think that was USPS. It took forever to get a return shipping label. Finally got it after I hassled them. I returned that board and they promised to send me another one. I asked if it would be here in two weeks. Absolutely they replied. After 1 week, I emailed and asked if the replacement board was shipped and if I could get the tracking info. Yep and I am on the tracking info was the response. Did not hear anything. Emailed back a few days later. Told was not sure it was shipped. And it just goes on and on! LISTEN: STAY AWAY!!!! I could go on with more. Finally received the board and it appears used. Has scratches and defects.

A Tale of Doing It Right

This company displays true character in the old fashioned business sense. I ordered an HQ Shadow stunt kite, paying for it via Paypal. It turned out to not be available. This is what Chris did: he offered me a Zebra at his (already the lowest price on the web) price of the Shadow. For non-kiters, the Zebra is near twice the price of the Shadow. This company is a class act. Chris displayed an outstanding display of retail ethics.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE

I ordered a fly tying vise on Sunday
I got no response from them on the time of delivery by Wednesday so I called them and they said Iwould have it by the end of the week it didn't show so I called again they said they didn't know why they said they would ship another one I called again to get a tracking number they said they would email me the information surprise no email DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE

Still waiting for refund

Im not a person that goes online to write reviews but the experience i had with this shop was so terrible, i want to prevent others going through what i went through. I purchased a ski rack from their online store about 2 months ago. When it arrived, i noticed it was different from the advertised picture. Not only that, i purchased a new item and the item arrived was clearly used. It was dirty and had signs of wear and tear. I immediately contacted them, sent them photos requesting a return. It took them about a week to send me a return shipping label. The item took another week to get sent back. This is now the third week they received the item and still no refund. I tried to contact them multiple times, was told By Chris that he’ll look into it but no refund still. I’ve tried to be nice with them and gave them multiple chances to make things right and they failed to do so.

Shadeonme is a shady company

Contact with this company has been horrible. I purchased a product from them in February, and had to jump through a couple hoops to get my product. They then said they would upgrade my product and didn't, but that's immaterial since I still got what I ordered. They then sent me a request to review the product they told me I would get vice the one I received. My review wasn't that great due to having to email a few times just to get the product shipped and the fact that I was reviewing the product they said I would get. The review was never posted, so I submitted it a second time and it still didn't get posted. I emailed them to find out why and the last response I've gotten from them (specifically Chris M.) is that they will look into it. So I reviewed the business on google and they have since taken down the link to their business. It seems to me that this company may be trying to help some of their customers, but if their service isn't up to par and you call them out on it they will do everything they can to ensure other customers don't see it. If you go through the reviews of the products on their website (which isn't many) you won't see any less than 4 stars, which, in my honest opinion, is due to them not allowing any review less than that to be posted. There is something shady going on with them and all buyers should beware.

Total concierge and expert service!

Called up with a rush order and needing lots of advice on a skimboard. Chris walked me through the options, gave me great choices and recommendations, and had a board in the mail to me w/in hours. Really great operation!

AWESOME company! HIGHLY recommend!

I am not familiar with skim boards so it was very hard for me to order online. Without being able to see or hold the board was difficult for me. However, the knowledge, expertise, and patience of the retailer made my purchase confident. I was able to see pics of the board prior to shipment for approval as well! The board shipped promptly and arrived way ahead of schedule. Great company to work with and I will be doing more business with them in the future. Thank you for a great purchasing experience shadonme!

The best online retail experience yet!

We are very suspicious of buying online but we needed an item fast and needed some product knowledge. After speaking with them, I was sold and took the plunge. They even talked me into buying a less expensive item. The item arrived fast and exactly as described. If you get the chance give them a try, they are what buying online should be.
