Shadow offers decent performance to play my favorite games on high settings and - if it works - is easy to use. However, it is kinda slow to start up, and sometimes is plagued by technical issues... See more

So this is a second review to back up the first one. Do take the time to read shadows response in that review. Can't wait to see what they say this time.
Visa has refunded my money. They've done so after reviewing shadows website and their claim it works on any device as well as the communication between myself and the support team.
Note that in the first review, shadow asked me to contact support and they would help me fix the problem. I did this and no support was offered to fix problems related to my device.
Instead, I was again told their refund policy. A policy I say was in breach of the consumer act 2015.
Visa have decided that indeed it does breach the consumer act. The website claims that you can use shadow to game on any device. This is untrue and the website should state clearly which devices are currently not compatible. It would save a lot of time and messing around for both consumer and company and I really fail to understand their problem.
I have to assume therefore it's intentional because I don't see how a company can be so misinformed about it's legal position or the rules of sale.
In the previous response, they state they always follow such legislation etc etc. Visa disagree and I've been refunded. This is now going to be forwarded on to trading standards.

I used the Shadow PC for really demanding Gaming (The usage of the hardware was always at 90%) and it worked without major problems. Streaming works fine. If you want to Play Star Citizen definitly take the Power package

I pay 60 euros. And what do I get in return? A 49-minute wait to access the virtual machine? Nice...

The idea is revolutionary. The implementation is disastrous.
The excuse will always be your service provider, your bandwidth, your host machine, the quality of the line, but never, ever (and don't even try) a problem on their end.
For the monthly price, buy your own machine...

Great experience overall.
Played on Wi-Fi, 500mbps download, 400mbps upload with 14ms ping according to their speedtest (type Shadow speedtest on Google to test your connection beforehand), streaming 1080p with no issues.
Had some buffering issues there and there every hour or so for a minute, but other than that it worked really well.
Played games:
- Star Wars Battlefront 2: online worked well
- Dispatch: seamless
It lets you install mods, even fit girl's repacks, it's really permissive.

Despite following all their recommendations, performance was fine then about 1-2 weeks after this review it was lagging and degrading constantly. I'd rather have saved that money...

Mostly, Shadow offers a very robust service (but it's quite expensive).
The English translation isn't very good, and the instructions for Shadow Drive are opaque.
I often have difficulty logging on, with an endless spinning logo.

Many things wrong here!
Cancelled service only to be charged. Pay £32 to spend 10mins waiting in queues. Laggy and bad software, when trying to use this service for my business. Better to save the cash and buy a good pc.

I am very satisfied with the Shadow Support team. They immediately look for a solution when there are problems or similar issues. Keep up the good work!

Amazing idea, horrible execution. I may stick around to see where they wind up, but it's been a wild ride that I would not recommend. For example, and this is just one of dozens, they literally wiped my account of 4 years with no warning. I logged in one day and my account was gone. Everything. Gone. If I had a better choice, I'd be long gone.

Fraudulent organization. I was charged for a subscription by mistake, and I had already stopped using the service. I contacted them the same day requesting a refund, but of course, no one returned my money. The service does not match its description. Better avoid it.

It's useless if you want to play any competitive games. It feels like you're rubber banding, and no refund if you're not happy with it, either.

They say that they change me to a higher experience...but I didnt ask for it... So now, I pay more

Good in a pinch if you’re travelling or away from home. Needs a solid internet connection to work well - and it works well when you have that. If you don’t… don’t bother.

Overall shadow has been useful for my tasks however there are some issues every now and then that people may face however the shadow team will respond as fast as they can
I love my shadow PC. I've used shadow off and on for a few years and I've never really had any major issues. My only real complaint is the CPU on the Power tier. It would be nice to see it updated in the same way the mid tier Neo package was. Modern CPU intensive games tend to struggle and if you downgrade to the lower tier to get the new CPU architecture you lose the RAM and GPU capabilities. Seeing the CPU updated would make it a 5 star service for me.
I need a Windows 11 platform to play video games (but, to be honest, not the most recent ones). Shadow answers that perfectly.
When I had a problem with my storage which I was not able to increase, support team helped me very quickly and efficinetly !
I had used shadow in the past a few years ago and had a flawless experience, But recently I had bought shadow again on October 4th 2025 and after the experience I had I do not recommend buying this service at all unless you have a VERY BAD pc and I'm talking a "cant really run anything" type of pc. When I first opened shadow despite everything saying the connection was stable and everything was fine there was heavy input lag and every game I tried to play ran like garbage and quality was terrible. I contacted support on the 7th of October asking for a refund and I did EVERYTHING they had asked me to do to try and fix it but NOTHING worked and we were going back and forth until the 11th because I eventually grew tired of trying things that were fruitless and I stopped replying to the support. Its disappointing that I was dragged on for awhile doing things that didn't help the shadow pc run better/fix whatever was happening with it, It would seem practical to give a refund to someone that didn't even sink 20 minutes into actually USING your service after the first 5 "fixes" didn't work. Not only did I waste a lot of my time going back and forth with the support but I pretty much just burned $40 for no reason. I had emailed them after I gave up trying the "fixes" just plain out asking for a refund and they had responded with the same thing they had said from when we first talked with each other, trying to put me through the same loop I just went through. Conclusion is, Unless you have a TERRIBLE computer I would not buy this service for your sake.

I live in Hawaii, and all of Shadow PCs marketing ensured their Portland servers would work. I even used the speed test via the website to make sure everything on my end was compatible before my purchase. I feel lied to. I payed 55$ to for your “power” plan for it to not only not work as advertised, but to not even work at all. Despite having good internet and a wired connection to my router, the lag and packet loss I experienced immediately was horrendous. After trying and failing for a total of 25 minutes… I immediately reached out to customer service, offered pictures and videos… and the response I received was so unbelievably anti consumer I legitimately started laughing. I’ll just post it here.
Thank you for contacting Shadow Support.
Unfortunately, Hawaii isn't officially part of our supported states regarding Shadow PC.
Therefore, we won't be able to provide any guarantee for any latency issues encountered nor refunds as you waived your right of withdrawal upon subscribing.
Following this exchange, you will receive a survey for you to rate us.
If you have any further questions please let us know, and we’ll be happy to answer them.
Wishing you a great day.
Best regards,
Shadow

If Hawaii isn’t officially part of your supported states, where was that information before purchase? How are your potential customers supposed to know that? Are you telling me that every single person waive their right to a refund upon subscription? Even for 25 minutes of use of your product? That is unbelievably scammy. To anyone considering using Shadow as a viable alternative to cloud gaming, choose any other service. Clearly this company cares more about taking your money than it does about transparency or its own image. And to whoever reads this from Shadow: I did reach out to your customer support… immediately. I did try to explain my issue and resolve it. From what I can tell, most of us here did. Enjoy the money you took, you don’t deserve it.
