Verification stuck for weeks — unable to receive payments, no real support
I joined ShareSub to share my YouTube Premium family plan, which allows up to five additional members. The idea is simple and fair: unused slots get shared, everyone pays less, and it’s a win-win for all involved.
Unfortunately, my experience with ShareSub has been extremely frustrating.
From the moment I created my account, I was required to complete identity verification via their payment provider (Stripe) in order to receive payments. Despite completing this process multiple times — and Stripe confirming that my verification was successful — ShareSub continues to show my account as “verification pending.”
This issue has been ongoing for almost a month. I have:
• Recompleted the verification several times
• Followed all troubleshooting steps suggested by ShareSub
• Contacted support repeatedly via chat and email
The chat is effectively unusable, as only an unhelpful bot is ever available. Email support has consisted of repeatedly sending me the same verification link, which I complete and shows as account onboarded but eventually leads nowhere and resolves nothing. There has been no meaningful investigation or ownership of the issue.
As a result, I have not received any payments from ShareSub, despite having active subscribers. My YouTube Premium subscription is due to renew shortly, and if this issue is not resolved, I will be forced to cancel my listing — which negatively affects not only me, but also the subscribers who rely on the service. Due to Google’s policies, this could also prevent them from joining another family group for up to 12 months, through no fault of their own.
I’ve done everything within my control to fix this, but ShareSub’s lack of effective communication and customer support has left me with no alternatives.
The concept behind ShareSub is good, but the execution — particularly around payments, verification, and support — has been deeply disappointing.
I hope this gets addressed, because in its current state, the platform puts hosts and subscribers at real risk.

The biggest problem is when a user drops out! Only the name is shown, but not the email, and on Qobuz there's only the email! So you have to guess which invitation to remove. Really impractical.
