It was my 1st coach holiday & the trip on the feeder coach was fine, taking just over 2 hrs from Winchester to Cobham Services, picking up passengers in Basingstoke, Camberley & Woking. I used the coach onboard loo, which was just as well, as the Ladies @ Cobham had a never-shortening queue of about 30, throughout our 1.5 hr stay. We left Cobham @ 12 noon & got to Eastbourne just before 2pm. My friend, who travelled separately by train, found we had been allocated a v small double room with small double bed at the back of the Burlington Hotel, but the deputy manager Liam sorted us a room with single beds at the front. Dinner that night was not very good & only available up to 7.30pm. The room was never serviced or cleaned, including the bins & dirty mugs & glasses, despite several requests at Reception, to which the response was non-apologetic to the point of rudeness. The coach excursions were adequate, although the majority agreed not to alight in Lewes on the first trip, due to the weather, somewhat encouraged by the coach driver. The trip on Thurs to Hastings & Rye went to plan. The quiz, live entertainment & opportunity to escape the football on Weds night with a trip to the local Hippodrome theatre was welcome & enjoyable. I'm afraid I'm going to attach photos of the unemptied rubbish bins & unwashed & cleared glasses & mugs. Toilet rolls, milk & tea bags were obtainable from Reception. It seems as though rooms are only serviced between guests. We also had to get a door hanger saying either 'Do not Disturb' or 'Please make up the room' from Reception, but this was ignored.
