Hotel is expecting rennovations which will bring it back to glory. Our holiday was made memorable by its staff, their attentiveness,warmth and good nature. After their duties done we enjoyed craic with Brid and her collegues. Will be back this time nect year for certain.

The hotel is shoddy as are the rooms..The food was good..The staff were good..they never cleaned the room the bedding and towels were never changed..You had to ask for toilet paper etc

We enjoyed welcoming staff they were hard working as they were short staffed but they pulled together. The hotel could have been cleaner, in the big dining room the window sills could do with a visit from house cleaning team . The food on the 1st 2 days was disappointing but improved towards the end of the week. It was in a brilliant place Oban and I would visit again

Excellent holiday. Hotel is a little dated but no matter as superb food and fantastic staff. Seaview room was worth the extra cost. Hotel didn't charge for parking and we were given a complimentary bottle of wine on our first evening courtesy of Shearings. A real touch of class! Oban is definitely worth a visit. Many thanks to Shearings for a brilliant holiday.

In all aspects a very fine hotel which exceeded my expectations. The staff were excellent at all levels, and the food was very tasty with more than adequate portions. My room was clean, tidy, well- equipped and the view from the window was amazing. My bed was also most comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff or the manager. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Single traveler, Wait for no single room supplement, that's the best deal on offer in Oban..Go for bed & breakfast & evening meal.
Lovely hotel staff, polite and helpful, stunning views from our room, meals was enjoyable pity it was same menu all week but still satisfied lovely walks into town to the shops only issue was creaking floor boards heard from room above when they was walking about but overall loved our time there
Beautiful setting and great position for the town and amenities. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and good choice of food everyday.

Over due a refurbishment! experienced walking in faeces in a toilet compartment, reported this to reception at the time… empathy wasn’t shown at all , in fact Reception at that time said I quote “To be fair it wasn’t that much’ Parking control on booked spaces was a bit ad hoc, as we arrived back from a trip to find that our space was occupied! This took about an hour to sort out. Maintenance of the hotel outside disturbed our peace! Some fight happened in the kitchen which was quite disturbing sitting in the restaurant eating dinner! Overall not a very good experience

Fantastic view from conservatory lounge. I had 3 very comfortable nights - single room ( but no sea view). Booked via Shearings. Good value for money as it was D/B/B. Found staff helpful, flexible, & co-operative. Interior decor & furnishings basic. Old fashioned feel re carpets but it did not spoil my stay.
